When I called Rays Plumbing I had great customer service from the time I called in until my tech left. They were able to send out a technician the same day. He was thorough in investigating my issue (I had water dripping from my water heater vent) and explained everything he was doing. He was very patient with all the questions I had as someone who knows nothing about plumbing. I would highly recommend them to anyone in the area.

Rays plumbing responded immediately to my plumbing emergency problem. Colin came out within 90 minutes, I live Remote, and got started right away. He was here till almost 1am but got everything all fixed and cleaned up plus added an emergency shutoff value to my water heater.

This week was our third experience with Jake from Ray's Plumbing. We love that they are a locally owned business in Battle Ground, WA.

The first time (see my older review for details), Jake came he found a leak while working on our plumbing and saved us thousands of dollars in damage.

The second time, he came out and replaced both our toilets with ADA height toilets. Everything went well. Jake is friendly, detailed, neat, and a very hard worker.

Our third experience with Ray's plumbing and Jake came this week about 2 or 2.5 years after our first experience.

He's still the same Jake. Friendly, detailed, neat, and very hardworking. He did have someone help him for part of his time here, but I didn't catch his name or see him inside.

We had a toilet backup issue that was constantly a fight for us. It was time to figure out the problem and get it fixed.

Jake worked his magic, and the problem was found. There were two blockages.

One blockage he was able to clear that day. That one is going to require removing some cement sidewalk in our side yard, replacing some of the plumbing and placing it in a better position, etc. Eventually, the cement will be replaced.

We've had out another plumbing company prior to Ray's Plumbing that said they had fixed this issue about five years ago. Obviously, it came back.

After the upcoming work is done, we are hoping we are done with plumbing issues for a while.

If not, we will be calling Ray's Plumbing and asking for Jake. We hope he will be available. If he isn't, I'm sure there will be someone as nice and experienced that they will take care of us.

Over $900 to install a kitchen faucet I had already bought from a big box store. Plumber was on site less than two hours and the base was put in crookedly. Exorbitant price for shoddy work. AVOID.

Excellent customer service, great ongoing communication, attention to detail, and very fair pricing. I had my boiler worked on today and extremely happy that it was back and running in no time. No mess left behind either. Definition reliable and I know exactly who to call next time I have a plumbing issue.

Saturday morning greeted us with a kitchen water leak. I called Ray's and the phone was answered promptly. A highly qualified plumber was at my house an hour later. The problem was quickly diagnosed and repair options presented. Work was started as options were considered, and after agreeing on a plan, a quality repair was the end result.
I'll definitely call Ray's any time I need a plumber from now on!

Extremely courteous, communicated well, gave me several options with different prices and shared the positives and negatives of each. Didn't guilt me into choosing the most expensive option, and kept me informed with what was going on throughout the process. When the job hit a little bump JAKE took the extra step came up with a work around and got the problem fixed.

Thank you Rays Plumbing and Jake, it's nice to be able to use the kitchen again.

We needed our front faucet replaced, so we had Rays plumbing come out. Jake was great to work with. He fixed the faucet in a timely manner and went the extra mile to make sure our faucet looked good and was done correctly.

Just spent some time with Jake doing my initial maintenance inventory and found a few things that needed attention. Jake was very thorough, thoughtful, and personable. Love the advice as a new homeowner who knows nothing about plumbing and the small details that reduces risks of bigger problems down the road. Tyler did a great job on replacing my leaky spigot last week. Appreciate the great service from Ray's Plumbing Service!

Had issues with my plumbing in my ancient trailer that I live in. Wasn't sure what was happening because all the water stopped over night, no flooding... I was very confused. But called this company and they sent over Colin for an assessment and he found the issue very quick and it was a simple fix, so he just did it right away for me. I'm definitely using these guys again, didn't mind cramping into a small trailer to help.

We had such a positive experience with Ray's Plumbing. We had an aging water tank with some issues, and we had it replaced by Ray's Plumbing. The technician (I think his name was Tyler) was thoughtful and explained everything. We will call Ray's in the future for our next plumbing need. ***August, 2024-***True to my word, we had Tyler back for a faucet replacement-- again, professional, fairly priced, and well done. 5 stars again!

We got a second opinion on a shower issue with Ray's Plumbing today. Ronald came out and did such a thorough job of explaining the possible issue to me, looking at everything to make sure there wasn't another problem we didn't see, and even found and fixed another issue we had forgotten about. I felt so comfortable getting the work done with him, he described everything to me without being condescending or pushy. He even went over regular maintenance with me so we can be ahead of any major problems that may come up. Not to mention even with the other fix we added, we paid less than the original quote from the other plumber. I would HIGHLY recommend Ray's to anyone looking to get work done!

We discovered our water meter was running after receiving a high water bill. I called Rays at about 4PM. Spoke with Jeremy, who said they could have someone out the next morning. Tyler arrived at 830am. He was very professional and gave me the quote for diagnosis of the leak. He found the leak within a couple hours and worked until the repair was completed that same day. Tyler was very friendly, respectful and tidy. Cleaned up thoroughly afterward. Thank you Tyler! very pleased with Rays.

I had an emergency call out to Ray’s plumbing and Ronald showed up at 7:15pm and worked late until the leak from a broken pipe and was repaired the same night. He was very sweet, helpful and professional. I will have them back soon for updated pipe replacements under the house. The price was fair.`

Ray's responded and replaced my old water heater with a new modern water heater, safely and efficiently the same day within just a few hours of the service call.

Rays plumbing is the best. Very professional, quick, friendly and honest.
I'm definitely going to spread the word.
Ask for Zack, as your technician he was AWESOME.

EDIT: I received a personal call from the owner of the company who worked something out with me to get me a reasonable refund. He was incredibly understanding and reasonable and restored my faith in Rays plumbing. I’d like to also point out he never once asked me about my review here and to change it he sincerely wanted to “make me smile” I would like to start by saying the technician I worked with, Zack, was very professional and enjoyable to work with. That said my experience could not be more frustrating. I have a heat pump hybrid water heater that started throwing error codes I had Rays come out to take a look. The first thing that should have sent me running was when they told me they needed to charge me $300 to talk to AO Smith to diagnose the problem. I begrudgingly agreed to that though eager to solve my issue. They determined the motherboard was defective and told me that even after saving on parts because of the warranty I still had, that it would run me $600 to replace it. I agreed although I was still frustrated about the cost just to install it. Ray's then came back and installed said motherboard only to tell me that it didn't fix the issue. They said the next step was replacing the whole heater under warranty but said it would still cost me around $3000 ON TOP of the $1000 I've already given them just to tell me the heater is bad. The only resolution they offered was to have me go through a convoluted process of asking for cash from the manufacturer and then buying a new water heater from them which would cost me even more. I should have sent them away as soon as they wanted me to pay $300 to make a 30 minute call.

TLDR:
They spent a grand total of 2 hours in my garage and charged me over $1000 to tell me none of what they did fixed my issue and I need to pay them even more.

Goodness do we appreciate Ray’s Plumbing—and Jake!—for the incredible service in truly a winter disaster. Pipe burst that led to our ceiling caving in. Jake was out in a matter of hours and repaired our pipes so we could turn water back on and not have to evacuate our house in the middle of this awful pnw storm. Stellar service and would recommend to anyone. Thank you Jake and Ray’s Plumbing!

Ray’s Plumbing and his staff are amazing! I had an emergency and had had no hot water for a week by the time I had called them and they got right on it, utilized my warranty, and were able to get the job done super fast due to another client having to re-schedule their work. This company is super conscientious, ethical, trustworthy , and they have financing which was very helpful for me because I wasn’t expecting my water heater to go on the fritz. I definitely recommend this company. Ronald, the owner is awesome and so are all of his employees! Great company to work with.

I called Ray’s plumbing to install two stop valves with dual outlets under my bathroom sink because I went from one faucet to two faucets. Zach came out to do the install and was very courteous and nice and seemed efficient with the work. I was not too impressed that first thing he did, he was trying to upsell a maintenance plan but okay. Then he quoted me for the work including two forms of the maintenance plan with the work included and the work separately. I was shocked at how much the actual work charge alone was but since I wasn’t quoted a price ahead of time I felt obligated to have him do the work since he was already there and I had already paid a service charge. (It has also been a couple of years since I have had any plumbing work done so not sure absolutely how much price increase might have occurred. But I talked to my brother, and he felt it was very high also and he has been involved in construction for years.) I also asked Zach to look at my kitchen sink as I am having counters and a new sink installed there and wanted a rough estimate. I have now requested a valid, complete estimate from the company, as I am not going to go through this shock again. And if I feel the kitchen job appears to be priced similarly, I will definitely be getting further estimates as I feel that the price for the bathroom was high.
