Called Evergreen on Friday May 10th for a concern I had w/my air conditioning system,, they came out on the 17th,, the tech put 5 pounds of freon in the system that holds 7 pounds said that to find the leak he needed to put a dye pk.in that he didn't have w/him and would need to reschedule me to do so..
That day I paid $300 w/ no leak found nor fixed... I was rescheduled for the following Friday the 24th,,
I called Evergreen on Wednesday the 22nd to let them know that the freon I purchased for $150 had leaked out...
Tech showed up on the 24th, put the dye pk.in,
Supposedly found the leak and fixed it..
I asked him to let me know how much freon it took this time because I wasn't going to pay for freon that I had already bought and leaked out..
He stated that he was going to do a recovery on the system to remove all the impurities, this is done w/nitrogen which is a fast way to dry out the system and remove the impurities which he ran out of in the first 10 minutes of the process,, therefore had to finish the process by using Co2 I asked about this process and he stated it's just alot slower
Which in my mind costs money...
All said n done the tech put my freon in so no charge for freon,, stated for me to look at the system in about 3 to 4 days and if I saw a light green dye in the bottom of the system then it's still leaking,, I did see the light green dye and an oily substance that the tech also topped off in the bottom of the system on Saturday June 1st ...
Called Evergreen on Monday the 3rd stated that the system seems to still be leaking, bought $ 150 worth of freon that leaked out
Part of a $300 bill and asked them how much of the new $228 bill they expected me to pay and requested that the same tech not come out again, that we were going on a month to fix my unit keeping in mind the unit is only about 6 years old...
Called again on the 4th and was told to basically go elsewhere that they were not going to be involved w/the job anymore and basically keeping my $150 for the freon that leaked out.... I did not pay the $228 nor am I going to. -
Excellent customer service after annual maintenance service . The young man did a great job!
-
Evergreen Heating & Cooling are amazing to work with. Great communication and price is always competitive.
-
Hunter and Evan were very nice young men who worked hard in the pouring rain and then the hot sun. Appreciated getting our ac up and running.

Our furnace went out in a very cold day. I couldn’t get service from my regular provider and evergreen came out, fixed it and we didn’t freeze.
-
I can’t express how wonderful Allen, Ryan and the guys are. They arrive on time, hang in there with all the problems of supply issues, and finish always with the customer in mind. Cheerful, respectful and honest and so very capable!!
-
Technician was courteous and knowledgeable. He was able to replace the part on our heat pump that was not functioning the same day. The cost was very reasonable.
-
Replaced our Heating and cooling system. Very professional and reasonable. They worked late to finish the job and make sure everything worked perfect.
Would highly recommend them for residential or commercial work! -
Zak and the team were wonderful. Their work ethic was amazing and they were extremely kind. I would recommend them if you want a job well done.
-
Extremely high prices on parts and replacement. I was more than shocked at those prices. Poor service too, I got a bill but not a quote to replace my heater. Now I'm glad I didn't...I saved thousands by not using them!
-
Kenny and Mason did an awesome job…they had to be up in our attic for a whole week in the heat of the summer and they were so pleasant and didn’t complain once. We couldn’t be happier with their service and for them putting up with our summer craziness!

TLDR: Paying Evergreen to come out and then going with someone else instead was still HUNDREDS of dollars cheaper than Evergreen's repair quote.
Addendum: Alan called me soon after this review posted, apologized, and was willing to void the invoice. I do appreciate that. I still wish it hadn't come to this in the first place.
Original review: I called Evergreen Heating & Cooling because Avista came out and noted I had a gas leak in my furnace, they thought at the shutoff valve. This was on the Friday morning 1/13/2021. Evergreen said the soonest they could come out was Monday, 1/16/2021. We were without heat in winter during this time.
I asked when setting up the appointment what the estimated cost would be. I was told that their hourly rate was $90 and the part costs $100 so she couldn't imagine it costing more than $200.
When the Evergreen rep arrived, he confirmed Avista's diagnosis, said he couldn't obtain the part today because the place was closed, and quoted me nearly $500 for the job once completed. I nearly fell out of my chair! I noted this was way more than what we were told over the phone. He tried to talk it away about how they have to cover the cost of gas, need to upcharge the cost of the part by "at least double", etc.
At this point I mentioned that we'll get a few quotes and get back to him. He said then he'd have to charge us for the call out right now. He also went on to insist that other places would charge us "at least $800, if not $1000". His attitude was rude.
I stated I would like to call his company to get more information on this. "Sure, I'll tell them you're calling!" So I called, no answer. I left a brief voicemail politely identifying my name and phone number and requested a call back.
No one called me back. The rep left. It's been over 2 weeks and they still haven't called me back. But they did send me an email today invoicing me $90 for the callout.
I called today to talk to them about it but again, no answer. Left a voicemail but it's been over an hour waiting on a call back and I'm tired of trying.
As for our furnace, a different company was able to come out the next day, diagnose and fix the problem for $165 and serviced the furnace while they were at it because it turns out I didn't need any parts replaced after all.
I feel it's questionable practice for Evergreen to give a low quote over the phone, have the service rep give a quote that's well past double that, and then if you balk at the price then they still charge you the fee to come out. Seems pretty shady. Also replacing expensive parts when servicing them would fix the issue. Not cool.
Paying Evergreen to come out and then going with someone else instead was still HUNDREDS of dollars cheaper than Evergreen's repair quote - with the bonus of also having a full servicing of my furnace when all was said and done.

We had our furnace set up to be serviced thru R&R for regular service In order to sell our home . Ironically the day before the apt our Heating system went down . Once R&R showed up they advised my wife the part needing replaced was very hard to get and would be 3-4 weeks with holiday leaving our only option as a replacement. They needed to send another technician in the morning to confirm the pricing . Once he arrived it was $2400 with a $600 deposit to be paid within 2 hours in order to have it working by Monday. Luckily I called Evergreen the same day and double booked the appointments just to make sure I wasn’t replacing things that were not needed. Thank god we did. Within 15 minutes of R&R leaving my home Ryan showed up and within. Few minutes confirmed the same part had failed. However, Ryan said the part was definitely common and could get the part overnighted to them and be back within 2days ( closed on weekends.) This technician took the honest and ethical route and told us there is no need to replace the system as everything looks just fine. Well as promised 2 days later I now have heat it was $979 with tax including the part! Ryan was an absolute blessing and saved my family $1600 over replacing the entire system that wasn’t needed. All right before a very stressful holiday. Thank you Evergreen Heating and Cooling and most of all Ryan. My family greatly appreciates your dedication to honestly and ethics. Many blessings to your famous sir. All HVAC referrals will go to your company 100%!

I was initially impressed with my contact with “Trina” when I called for service for my failed A/C unit. She was very helpful in scheduling a service tech. Brandon was the highly competent service technician who repaired my A/C unit and saved us from another very uncomfortable night. Brandon fully explained the repairs made to restore my cooling system, and explained the benefits of having my HVAC system serviced every year. That made a lot of sense, as well as cents. I highly recommend Evergreen Heating and Cooling. You will find them to be exceptionally professional, responsive, and very reasonable in their pricing.

During freezing weather, our 30 year old furnace (part of HVAC) broke down and needed replacement.
Evergreen responded promptly with inspection and within two days had the furnace replacement unit at the house to be installed and commissioned. It was fast and efficient. On completion, the rest of the house was just as it was before they started. Highly recommended. -
Had one company (Bill's) come out on Sunday 12/4 to look at my rental houses' furnace, it had stopped working. They spent 2-3 hours and didn't fix anything and then wanted to charge $7400 to replace a system that they installed 5 years ago!!! I called another company (Sturm) that came out 12/6 and spent 3 hours trying to figure out the problem with the furnace. Didn't fix anything so they scheduled to come out the next day between 11--2 which they didn't show up during that time, so we contacted Evergreen and they said they could be there in about 45 min. It took them 45 min to diagnose and fix the problem with the furnace. These guys were very professional and courteous. It took Loved them so much I am now having them work on my main house with different HVAC needs. Don't waste your time with these other companies, these guys know exactly what they are doing and charge you a fair price for the work. Look forward to working with Evergreen in the future.

I can’t say enough positive things about this company. Our home was without heat for 4 days, and to say that was miserable is an understatement, especially during winter in Spokane, WA. After some failed attempts from two different companies, Ryan with Evergreen Heating & Cooling was able to send a technician to our home. Within one hour, our heat was back on and we were immensely overjoyed. We could feel that Evergreens main priority was to get us warm. Thank you, Ryan and Evergreen’s Heating & Cooling Team for all that you do!

From the first phone call, to prompt service, to professional and fast diagnosis, we can’t recommend Evergreen enough. We have had several emergency issues with water heaters and AC units. You will be treated fairly and kindly, which is very RARE these days!

My Mom and I have used Evergreen Heating and Cooling for many years and have always been very satisficed. We just had Nick come and service both of our furnace's as we live next door to each other. Nick was professional and respectful of the home and our concerns. It turns out that both furnaces are in good running order. The pricing is fair and responsible.
We both HIGHLY RECOMMEND Evergreen Heating and Cooling. -
Our installers John and Michael went above and beyond to give us a wonderful new heat pump and air handler. They were prompt, courteous and even worked to install our Wi-Fi thermostat which was an additional task:
Thanks for the great product, price and service!
