I called several services but Oakenshield as the only service that I answered. They we able to fit me in on cancelation they had. I was pleasantly surprise when contacted the day prior to confirm the appointment as well as the morning of. Mark arrived promptly and ready to work. He evaluated the pellet stove and got right to work, spent an extra amount time cleaning the stove as well as chimney and made sure all was in working order prior to leaving and supplying me with a detailed inspection report. I am very happy with the job and price, but most of the fact that there was no mess or sign that Oakensheild had been here. I would highly recommend the use of their service.

Mark was extremely professional and timely. Upon arrival, he introduced himself and provided his business card and credentials. He was quick to do the work, left no mess, and was thorough in his explanation of the results of his inspection and cleaning. I would highly recommend this business.

We purchased our home about a year ago and decided to have the chimney inspected as the house was built in 1985. I read some of the online reviews for Oakenshield and they were all very positive so I decided to contact them and they were able to get me scheduled within 2 weeks. Mark came out to inspected the chimney and within about 5 minutes informed us that the fireplace was unusable as the chimney flue had pulled apart and needed replacing. Not the news we were hoping for, however, Mark did not charge us for the inspection as he felt he had not really provided much of a service. I highly recommend Oakenshield Chimney Service for your chimney needs.

We made an apportionment to have Mark take a look at a problematic chimney. When he arrived, he was kind, thorough, listened to our concerns, and quickly diagnosed the issues. He provided multiple solutions, gave us advice to save money, and made recommendations to help us enjoy our fireplace more. What a wonderful experience! We will be doing business with Oakenshield again, and highly recommend them.

We had 2 chimneys cleanned and inspected and 2 spark protectors installed. The work done was incredibly thorough and reasonably priced. Mark was a true delight. He could not have been more kind or forthcoming. Happy to say I have found my chimney guy.

Mark is an exceptional person! He takes the time he needs to educate you and answer all your questions. (When I was new to country living and tried starting a fire without knowing the proper techniques and filled our home with smoke....he came out to inspect and clean and walked me through it all!) He takes pride in his work and is extremely knowledgeable. I called several places in Spokane when I first started searching for a chimney sweep. I’d leave a message and not hear back for days, if at all. But I am always greeted by Tim when I call in and he is super pleasant as well. He got me on the cancellation list and they got me taken care of a month early. Super happy I found Oakenshield. I recommend them highly! Don’t waste your time calling around, stick with these guys. You won’t be disappointed!

I asked around on social media, neighborhood friends and, of course, Google. Over and over i was referred to this company. Although they can be booked out farther than you may like (if you are a last minute scheduler) they make every effort to get you in. Tim is a great communicator, down to earth and real. We scheduled (late) but got in just before the snow started. Mark showed up and I can't express how very respectful, courteous and knowledgeable he is. He was gracious and informative. No sales tactics at all, just clean, efficient work, photo evidence, suggestions, advice and kindness. He even knew our wood stove brand and date and on top of that the uniqueness of the brick our house is 85% built with. I offered him a seat when he came to show me the photos and he even declined because he said he was too dirty to do so. It is so rare to find people to care for your house as you would, honest and with exceptional integrity. I will never use someone other than Mark until he retires and then only someone he refers me to.
How they come in with a lower price beats me because their service is worth more than any others I contacted. Do not look anywhere ride lease, Oakenshield is definitely your chimney service.

Oakenshield Chimney Services was recommended to me by a neighbor who had used them in the past. I am blown away by the service! I called Monday morning to schedule and they were here Tuesday morning. Mark was extremely friendly and knowledgeable! I asked a ton of questions and he was happy to answer each and every one of them. Great value for the services. I am extremely satisfied. Also, my dogs loved Mark.

These guys were amazing! They were honest, listened to my requests, went out of their way to get me on their waiting list and simply did an outstanding job! Both Mark and Timothy were great. They kept our house super clean and performed a great inspection. This is the team you want!

Mark came out to service my fireplace and chimney. He was a true professional and respectful in my home. He educated me on my system and made suggestions for added warmth and safety. Cannot recommend him and his services enough.

I own a rental property with 4 fireplaces. I had Oakenshield come out to clean my flues and to also seal them shut so that they cannot be used in the future by tenants, and Mark not only did a wonderful job, but he showed me how much creosote came out of my flue (it was a lot!). He cleaned up everything very well and even made sure my carbon monoxide detectors were installed and working correctly. Mark was very nice the whole time, and even my tenants made sure that I knew how great of a job he did. The pricing was great as well. They gave me a price over the phone without having to come out and look at the fireplaces which is especially helpful since I am a landlord for the property and have to drive out every time there is a contractor at the house. I would recommend them to anyone and will be having them come inspect my parent's fireplaces too!

I wanted to thank Mark for doing such a thorough job cleaning my wood stove. I use it a lot in the winter so I do an annual cleaning. I appreciated his knowledge, kindness and professionalism.

Very nice man came out. He evaluated our situation which was squirrel nest in our co2 vent. He raised our awareness of the danger we were in which was very high. He couldn't fix the problem besides adding a screen but what he did very well may have saved our lives. He didn't charge us either because it was beyond repair. Mark is fantastic: he came to correct a smoke problem we had with our wood stove (after another company in town just cleaned it the week before!). He found that the bird wire below the chimney cap was completely clogged with creosote, and the stove pipe had not been adequately cleaned either. Unfortunately the prior company had not gone on the roof at all during their “cleaning” . Mark was professional, gave great tips for usage, safety, and maintenance, and was a pleasure to work with. So grateful to have found this wonderful, locally owned business!

Truly cares about the customer! Although no service was provided in my case because my circumstances changed, I was impressed with the interaction I had on the phone with Jim. He took the time to gather information, provide insight, and he followed up later in the day to make sure all was well. Paid for a tuck and point, and he did the worst job possible. He only did the sides I could see from the ground. After I flew my drone over the roof I could see the extent of his "work" he claimed he would come back and redo it, but kept making excuses, and lies even claiming he wanted to come do it all over and use my house in his commercial.
I also had a ton of rocks and debris he washed off the roof into my lawn. A year later I still have this crappy job and
He is now refusing to answer emails, calls or texts.

Needless to say, I now have to pay another company to fix his hand work.
