This was my 2nd yr of having Nick clean my woodstove/chimney. Excellent work. The upstairs insert is on 2nd floor of split level. He uses a long, long hose to vacuum out the residue from cleaning chimney, w/the large vacuum outside. No mess or heavy lugging of equipment. Great & will continue w/this company. So friendly and conscientious

Mike and his team were timely and efficient. I appreciate that they listened to what I really wanted and worked around our variable schedule. They were very kind and easy to work with. I would definitely recommend them to anyone in the area!

I had South Sound Sweeps do a chimney cleaning and asked for a quote to put on a rain cap and tuck point the brick. Pricing was reasonable. Mike did an amazing job and subsequently have hired him to re tuck point my brick home. He goes above and beyond to make sure you are satisfied and was a pleasure to work with.

South Sound Sweeps did an excellent job making some repairs in our fireplace. I was given some valuable information on how to preheat the fireplace so that smoke doesn’t enter our living room!
Arrived on time and cleaned up very well after completing work!

South Sound Sweeps (owners Michael and Nick) cleaned our fireplaces, redid the inside of one of the fireplaces after the old insert was removed, replaced an outside ashdoor, brought everything up to code and did some masonry work inside and on the chimney. Great guys! Personable, friendly, great communication, AND their work is impeccable!

The guys at South Sound Sweeps are professional, very responsive, and they do great work. They completed a free estimate on my project and prepared me for a couple of different scenarios of what to expect in terms of cost pending their inspection. They did an excellent job cleaning my very old and very dirty chimney and gave us peace of mind after completing their inspection. They did a great job installing new double-wall stove pipe and a new heat shield. Their work looks great, and we feel safer after the improvements they made to our set-up. We will be using them again in the future, and we highly recommend them.

Update: I voiced my concerns with the owner Mike and he made it right. He went farther than I expected and gave me a complimentary cleaning. I wasn't expecting that, but as money is tight this year, it is very appreciated.

I used this company last year and was very pleased, so decided to use them again. Tech was on time and professional. He was here for less than 30 minutes though, and seemed very rushed. He didn't clean the glass on the insert either. Cleaning seemed very rushed.

Chimney stack needed to be replaced. Michael tore down the old stack and replaced it with a new one that is absolutely perfect. He went above and beyond and I will hire them for additional work that I need done.

I experienced a chimney leak. I think it was Nicolas who came out and gave me good feedback about the reality of the rains we had and that I didn't need any work done. It was so refreshing to have an honest tradesman. He definitely won me over and will get my business next time.

I wanted to write this company a nice review. They claimed they could service both our dryer vent and our pellet stove. One person did come out for the dryer vent and did a fine job. He wanted the other one to address the pellet stove due to a lack of knowledge. The owner later assured me that they would get to the pellet stove. They never did. He did not reply to my text to follow-up, stringing me along all summer. We got screwed by these folks.

Had a great interaction with South Sound Sweeps! Mike and Nick were prompt to respond to my email requesting a cleaning. Nick came out and did a quick and fast job cleaning our chimney. I'd highly recommend!!

I originally had called Safe Chimney Inc for one of their deals on cleaning and inspecting our chimney - they were very quick to "find" $4,000 worth of damage that needed repairing and were pretty pushy to get it scheduled. Nick said he couldn't see any evidence of what they had said needed to be repaired. We're very happy to have chosen South Sound Sweeps!

I spoke with a representative at 10am who told me a service tech would be out between 1-5pm the same day. At 5pm, after no tech arrived, I spoke with a representative who then told me no one was coming today (no notice given), and that the earliest one could arrive would be five days away. Their name clearly doesn't match their service.

Danny was dedicated, polite, and helpful. He communicated problems and strategies clearly and was helpful in selecting options. Despite the challenges of the weather, he completed the work expeditiously. He also offered other options should they be needed. I feel very comfortable with Benchmark Same-Day Heating & Cooling. Top notch!!
