We had 5 different HVAC companies give us bids following their personal visit. We chose Narrows for these reasons: Chris was an excellent representative of the company & selected equipment. He was honest and trustworthy. His bid was the best!!!
The installation crew were top quality & efficient. GREAT INSTALLATION!!!
Now, after using the heat pump in cold & hot temperatures, the system IS PERFECT!!!!!

Amazing experience with Chris at Narrows and his team. We wanted a heat pump installed to heat/cool about 1500 sq ft and Chris came out to give me ideas on the most efficient system and set up. He followed up with more info on the equipment and a few photos of some similar jobs. The installation crew was very courteous, on time, cleaned up after themselves, and created a clean looking system. They took care of all the permitting and applicable rebates through our power company. Overall great experience and would highly recommend!

I was really impressed with Ash and his crew. I have a menagerie of animals that they had to work around along with the fact that I had food poisoning the second day they were installing. They handled everything thrown their way professionally and with a smile. My house is now much warmer and I know that I will love the central air come summer.

Narrows is the best contractor we have encountered since undertaking complete home renovations! Their attention to detail, expertise, and professionalism cannot be understated. Additionally, everyone was incredibly knowledgeable and took the time to ensure we understood what was being installed in our home. Unlike other companies, they made no attempt to up-sell us and instead insisted that we didn't need a more expensive water heater than we thought. We ended up with a nice new installation of both our heating system and water heater. Thank you!

After one year: Installation went very well and professionally done. However, it was faulty, and required service within six months. I asked for warranty service this summer but heard nothing for a couple of weeks. Finally I called and got it scheduled and it was completed.

On other occasions I have inquired via email regarding scheduling and other matters and they were and continue to be non responsive. In one instance I expressed a concern about the unit freezing up and the rep seemed dismissive to my concerns.

Finally, upon heating system installation you may be asked to sign a maintenance agreement. The terms and conditions are conditions essentially say, “if you need service, here is what we expect of you and here are our prices, and by the way, the prices are subject to change.” There is no customer benefit to accepting these boilerplate conditions.

5 STARS! I received 6 different quotes from local AC companies. I selected Narrows because of the reasonable proposed costs, specialization in Trane products, and referral from my family based on their experience with Narrows. I’m very pleased with how my HVAC system turned out and I can immediately feel the benefits of the revitalization.

The installation team was outstanding - on time, very professional, answered all my questions, clearly committed to the project, provided an overview of the work, and literally left the job site BETTER than when they arrived. The support staff at the front office was responsive and very detailed oriented, as well.

Overall, Narrows provides good quality workmanship, high value with Trane products, and professional on-time services.

Chris was extremely helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. He made it very easy to navigate the process (of rebates and installation) and I felt that I got a good fair deal. The installation was quick and clean. Highly recommend!

We hired Chris and Narrows Heating about 2.5 years ago to replace an old oil furnace with a 4-ton central heat pump system for our 3,150 sq ft house originally built in 1959. We had 3 companies out to bid on the project, all highly rated. We were immediately impressed by the professionalism of Chris and his thoughtful problem-solving related to our particular HVAC needs. The bid from Narrows was not the lowest, but Chris' lack of sales pressure and detail-oriented answers to our questions won us over.

The installation itself was performed over 2 days by an extremely amiable and competent crew who worked calmly and neatly, dealing expertly with a pretty crowded basement installation space criss-crossed by the house's plumbing and electrical wiring. The city permitting and inspections were handled smoothly by Narrows and their electrical subcontractor, and the inspectors arrived a couple of days after installation was complete and quickly signed off on the work.

We now enjoy having AC for the first time on hotter days, and not dealing with the smelly, dirty polluting oil furnace during the winter months.

More recently, in December 2025 I contacted Narrows again about installing a mini-split system for our converted garage. Once again the service was excellent, with neat and tidy installation by a courteous, professional crew. Chris was very easy-going and flexible about moving our installation date (twice) due to delays in completing of drywalI, paint and electrical work.

I would highly recommend Narrows based on our experiences.

I highly recommend Narrows Heating and Air Conditioning. They installed my first hybrid heat system, and I went with them again.

They do both commercial and residential work.

Chris took his time explaining the pros and cons. I felt confident going with the xv19 side discharge heat pump and the xv95 furnace. Chris scaled up another half ton on the heat pump to cope with 100+ degree heat.

Both units are variable speed and extraordinarily quiet…. So quiet my neighbors are buying one too. They no longer hear my heat pump.

The new control module can be controlled from the phone.

They showed up at 8am, finished at 4 pm. They weren’t satisfied with something on the first heat pump, so they sent it back to the warehouse and brought another new unit for install…….

My house is now comfortable all the time.

Narrows H & A/C installed a ceiling mounted split system Heatpump (A/C and Heat) unit at our home a few weeks ago. Their bid was competitive and they were helpful in assisting us in deciding upon a few options for our space. We installed this unit so that out upstairs master can be cooled down for sleeping at night so that we can leave the rest of the house at at 74 degrees at night during the summer. The unit is very quiet and it works well for the tests we did.
The Narrows team has been very professional, communications were prompt, they showed up on time, made sure not to make a mess cutting through the ceiling to do the installation, and cleaned up. Very personable team and easy to work with. If I ever need to do another project, I will use them again. Highly recommended.

Narrows Heating recently installed a new gas furnace and heat pump in my home. Their estimate for the work was $4000 lower than two other companies even though Narrows installed high- end Trane equipment. The installation was done by experts who knew what they were doing. The system works great! I'm glad I chose Narrows.

We love Narrows Heating and AC! We heard about the company through a family member. We had multiple bids for our new heat pump and air handler. We also needed to add an additional air return and move another return higher. Narrows was by far the lowest bid! They did the job in 2.5 days. Overall my experience with Narrows was positive. I would give 4.9 stars only because the installers had to come back on a separate trip since they forgot to do one thing. Despite that minor inconvenience the experience was overall very positive. Their quote was in the middle range of 5 quotes I got from different companies and Chris was the most honest, helpful, and communicative of all the other companies I dealt with. Chris really cares about his business and customers and that is the reason I chose Narrows. The Mitsubishi product is one of the best out of the hours and hours of research I’ve done on different heat pump and air handler systems.
