Stopped by yesterday to purchase a capacitor for my outdoor ac unit. Much to my surprise, I was informed that bc I’m a homeowner, they wound not sell me the $17.00 part due to “liability” concerns of me “blowing up my house”. I cannot recall a time when Ive been treated this poorly, even though I asked for the exact part by name and description, as well as describing the install process.

The good news is that on the way home, I remembered a great diy hvac supplier here in Portland that’s about 10 minutes from my home which is about how long it took me to complete restoring the unit to full operation. And, the house is still intact!

I would highly recommend Dan and Air Guide if you need HVAC repairs. Dan was able to troubleshoot an issue with a system installed by another company. The system would stop operating at least once a year (usually around a holiday, of course). The other guy would fix the failed component, but not identify the cause. Dan was able to troubleshoot and find the cause and fix it. No issues since his servicing. He was very thorough and patient with explaining the issue. Highly recommended!

I called Comfort Air in Vancouver Wa., three times. They never bothered to return my call. You would’ve thought after paying them nearly $25,000 for a new system they would’ve had much better service and support..

Here’s the best part, Dan never even asked for a dime for his time. It was so nice to know, and refreshing for someone to honestly take their time to help us in a time of need.

With good reason and convection we would highly recommend Dan. We look forward to having him service all our HBAC needs going forward. Thanks, Dan.

Air Guide Heating and Cooling did an excellent job installing a mini-split system in my Battle Ground building.

Daniel the owner of Air Guide Heating was the only one who would come out and take a look at my furnace the same day it went out on one of the coldest weeks we have had here in the Pacific Northwest. All of the other big name company’s were days or a weeks out with appointments. With that said Daniel tried walking me through the standard resetting of the furnace, checking the breaker and the Thermostat. When none of this work he made a special trip late in the evening to asses the situation. His professionalism, customer service and his quick response is unmatched in the industry! After his assessment it was determined my motor over heated and was fried. Not only did he get me a new motor as quick as he could, the install went flawlessly! They also due yearly maintenance on heating and cooling. With the exceptional service I received I signed up. He was able to get my furnace cleaned, repaired and working better than when I bought the house brand new. I attached a few pictures of how well he did. Daniel and his partner Yuri were amazing at taking care of us and I would highly recommend Air Guide Heating and Cooling!

They hooked up our spray booth sprinklers to the main line of the building. Everything was done by code and at great quality and price. They helped us in anyway to pass inspections. Very satisfied with Vanport and looking forward to working with them if I have any sprinkler work needs.
