I needed a "custom" (very tight space inside an Ikea cabinet) exhaust duct installation that I wasn't able to do myself as it required cutting and then fitting the duct material. Very happy with the results!

J & M have installed gas lines for me and my clients all over the Portland, OR area. They always show up on time and complete the work as agreed. if you are installing a gas fire pit or fireplace, I strongly recommend using J & M!

I had a gas leak that needed repair, it was not an emergency situation. My first impression - the phone was answered by a human!
They quickly responded with a quote and I was on the schedule. The service people were on time, pleasant, and made quick work of the repair.
My final impression - they're on my list of contractors to call again.

J & M Services was referred to me by my HVAC company as a contractor who could install a new dryer vent in a very tight and difficult to access area. Michelle was very helpful on the phone and encouraged me to submit photos of my situation so she could give me a bid. She got back to me in one day with a detailed bid and discussed other issues that could arise so there would be no surprises. I was scheduled within two days. Eric and Ryan called ahead and showed up on time. They assessed the job and discussed the options with me. They completed the job efficiently and exceeded my expectations on the clean trim of the vent on exterior of the house. I highly recommend J & M Services.

Kellen Cox came out on time inside my appointment window. He completed his tests on my furnace and gave a good summary on overall health of the system. He also explained how to watch/listen for issues that could come up over the winter! Super helpful!

Estimates were extremely extremely way too high, $1035 to replace a kitchen sink faucet - faucet only cost under $100 at Home Depot so they charged over $900 for under 1 hour work crazy. Gave me estimates for water heater and garbage disposal all three times what Home Depot charges installed, stay away from these guys

Dan came out and did our inspection. He explained everything he was doing, and told me things to look out for. Thankfully we don’t need any work at this time.

Michael has been great! We’ve had him out for various issues and he is awesome. Super knowledgeable!

Highly disappointed in the service, personally.
I was not told there was a $75 fee to come look and give a estimate, or i would have not used them or had them come out.
The tech was nice and very detailed but the service seemed WAY too expensive when comparing other companies and the work they do (seems a little excessive for just a water tank replacement).
They should have asked for payment ahead of time before scheduling, but instead the tech lingered around until asking to be paid, which caught us off guard because we thought it was going to be a free 30 min or less estimate.
The estimates alone made me just want to suffer with my repairs and just fix it another day but i am going to have to look otherwise.
This is just my experience and i hope they do right by others, maybe i was just not the customer for them and they were just not the right fit for us.
oh well, bless them!

Jacob was professional and helpful. He was understanding of my financial constraints and did his best to help me navigate the repairs needed.

Jonathan and Gavin were polite, thorough, and professional. They explained my options and timeline clearly, answered all of my questions & never made me feel like I was under pressure. I appreciate the courtesy and all around education they provided.
