Had an issue with our furnace not keeping the house warm enough on a Friday mid-morning. Spoke with Duke, who was great and ran through some troubleshooting over the phone and arranged for Ken to come by late Friday afternoon. Ken was absolutely fantastic. Extremely pleasant and did a great job explaining what he was seeing and what the fix would entail. He had the job done quickly and everything was back to working order within a few hours. Really impressed that they squeezed this in on a Friday evening and even more impressed with how personable Ken was. We'll absolutely be using TradeWinds in the future.

We had a new furnace installed 3 years ago, but were never satisfied that it put out enough heat. We had Ken with TradeWinds Heating in today to do an annual tune-up. Now it is finally comfortable in here. Ken was knowledgeable, patient and thorough. And at a price that was better than other quotes. Highly recommend these guys!

Very good experience with TradeWinds. AC went out over night, called at 7am and I was back up and running by 9am. Ken really knew his stuff and I would recommend him to anyone. It was also the hottest two days of the year, so I was super surprised how smooth it went.

TradeWinds put in an air conditioner in 2021 and did a fantastic job with their thorough communication, timeliness, and personable and professional crew. We went with TradeWinds again for our furnace installation and received the same excellent service. I highly recommend TradeWinds.

I called Tradewinds on behalf of our daughter’s business. Her furnace when out and after “2” visits from another heating contractor, with questionable results, I called Tradewinds.
Not familiar with heating contractors in Madison, I contacted Tradewinds mainly based on the positive reviews.
I spoke with Ken, the owner and after answering ALL my questions, we decided to have him give us a quote for the furnace replacement. Price was competitive, workmanship was excellent, and it was completed promptly.

I've been impressed with the quality of service TradeWinds staff has been proving my home and rental property for the last couple years. The complex and intimidating process of selecting and installing a boiler was made easy by Kenneth. The yearly maintenance they provide to my furnace is always excellent. I fully trust TradeWinds and have been recommending them to all my friends without hesitation.

Tradewinds is a great company to work with. Within 10 days of our frantic call about a broken A/C system in the heat of summer, they had come out for an estimate and then installed a heat pump for heating and cooling as well as a new furnace. Their prices were much more reasonable than the other bids we received. I highly recommend Alan and his TradeWinds company!

On the first cold night in October, the thing I had been dreading for so long became a reality. My 27-year-old furnace/air conditioning combo unit quit working. Other owners in my condo complex had used a company in Black Earth for their HVAC needs. I hoped to find someone closer, so I searched the internet for a Lennox dealer/service provider in my area. That's where I found TradeWinds Heating & A/C Inc., located only a few miles away. It was such a pleasure hearing a friendly voice when I called the office. Jordan was able to schedule an appointment for me to have a technician check out my furnace. As an elderly woman with a disability, it's important to feel safe letting strangers into my home. When Ken was on his way over, he texted a picture of himself with a message stating when he would arrive. I felt totally at ease with him immediately. He examined my furnace, showed me pictures of what was wrong, and gave me options to consider. We ultimately agreed that replacement of the entire unit would be in my best interests. Ken and Jordan were able to schedule my furnace installation in less than a week.

Ken and Jace are two of the nicest people I've ever met. While removing the old unit and installing the new one, they were so unobtrusive, I was actually able to relax and take a nap. After spending nearly five hours on my job, Ken and Jace assured me the new Comfort Pack unit was working properly before they left. I appreciated that everything was cleaned up and neatly put back in place. I cannot imagine any other company matching the quality of service provided by TradeWinds at such a fair price. I honestly could not be happier with my new furnace, and it has given me an extra-special reason to feel thankful this year. I have, and will continue to recommend TradeWinds to all my friends and neighbors.

Amazing! Kind, quick, responsive, protected my family which means the world to me. I originally called for a furnace that wasn't running great and they scheduled me for the next morning. As the day passed, it seemed like the house was going to keep dropping temp and, as a new mom, I panicked. They got a tech out within 3 hours. The tech not only fixed our furnace but caught and fixed an exhaust problem caused by the team that did our siding. My husband and I are so happy with the help we received.

We originally got introduced to TradeWinds when our furnace went out during one of the recent cold streaks. Since then we’ve had them out to do some regular seasonal service on our furnace and AC. We’ve been impressed every time and once our units are up for replacement they’ll be the first ones we call. Most recently Ken was out and took some extra time to discuss various options for when that day arises, which we really appreciated. Seems to be a truly great company and I would highly recommend.

Alan attempted to fix my 30+ year old furnace, got it to fire once and it died. With temperatures dropping (October) we discussed my options. There was no sales pressure, just clean information and a willingness to answer any questions I had. The following day I contacted them about a new furnace. It was painlessly financed through a link on their website, and installed less than a week after the old one failed. The install was clean, professional and on time. We will be upgrading our air conditioner once the furnace is paid for and they will be doing the work. I am extremely satisfied. The positive reviews they have are well deserved.

I was happy about all aspects of installation of dual-fuel furnace and AC system. Ken is wonderfully knowledgeable as well as professional. He and Tradewinds staff helped with discounts that make this a far better system than I thought I could afford. We have been using Tradewinds for the maintenance and repairs of the boiler of our apartment building. Ken installed a home humidifier for us. He was prompt, respectful and very knowledgeable. He took the time to ask my preference on location and also went in great depth to make sure I knew how to operate it. I would definitely recommend him and Tradewinds.

Our experience with TradeWinds Heating, and Air was nothing but positive! From the first phone call to the completion of our Aprilaire humidifier, everyone was professional, kind, and friendly. At our estimate visit, Ken explained everything so well. I did not feel rushed and felt like everything was well explained, without any upselling. At installation, can again was professional, and took great care, not to track any dirt or wetness from the outside as he went in and out multiple times. The installation of the humidifier was clean and it looks like it belongs there, not even like it was added after market. Once again, Ken took the time to explain how the unit works. I would recommend this company … So much so in fact that we are switching from another company to TradeWinds for our annual maintenance! (We had a maintenance membership with the other company … but they quoted us double the price for installation of same unit - without even coming to see the furnace, just with pictures I sent!)

My experience with TradeWinds was exceptional. Ken was able to come in and diagnose the problem. I ended up needing a new furnace after 14 years, and he worked with me on a bunch of different options based on pricing and different features. I had a million questions and he was able to explain everything in layman's terms so that I would understand and that I could choose the best option for me and my family all while being super friendly and approachable. The quality of the work is very high as well. The team were in and out in 4 hours and it look like they were never there, left it clean and organized. I'm very happy with my experience with this company and I will absolutely be using them for all of my HVAC needs moving forward.
