I recently had the pleasure of working with Tree Wisemen for a significant tree removal project, and I couldn't be more impressed with their service.

    Professionalism and Expertise

From the start, their team demonstrated top-notch professionalism. They arrived on time, provided a clear and detailed estimate, and walked me through exactly what the removal process would entail. They were extremely knowledgeable about how to handle large trees safely, and they made sure all my questions were answered.

    Efficiency and Care

The actual removal was handled with remarkable efficiency and care. The crew worked quickly but safely, ensuring that no surrounding property was damaged. They even took the time to clean up thoroughly afterward, leaving my yard looking better than before.

    Overall Experience

Overall, Tree Wisemen delivered exceptional service from beginning to end. If you're looking for a tree removal company that combines skill, courtesy, and great customer care, I highly recommend them. They truly live up to their name!

Unbeatable! Everything about the way this company does business works. They gave me a fair price, and I know how huge the spread can be after being quoted by several of the larger and most prominent arborist firms in town. They're responsive from the first call I made through the fine details of product delivery. They're nice and easy to work with while thoroughly professional and exacting at the same time. The cleanup was perfect. I went with them because I read here and heard from friends that they're the real deal: a great little company that will please in every way. Now, I'm happy to pass that good word along.

Heartwood is a top-notch company. I can't recommend them enough. Their philosophy on tree work is a good match for mine. They love trees and it's obvious in the work they do.
I got in touch with Brent at Heartwood to help me with some tree clearing in our woods near Verona. They sent a crew of three for a full day of work. We had a large storm damage tree hung up in another tree, and then a bunch of pruning and removal of trees to thin a crowded woodland and open up space in the canopy for smaller oak trees to grow into.
Brent came for a visit and walkthrough and was super helpful with planning for what was best for the site. He listened to what I wanted, and gave advice on the best way to get it done.
They were flexible with scheduling, including coming out in winter to minimize the potential for oak wilt.
The crew was Brent, Pete, and Kurt, and all were professional, highly skilled, and careful. They did their work without heavy equipment. Just saws and ropes, climbing where needed to access higher branches. They were flexible when I had trees or shrubs I wanted to avoid damaging, even when those were right next to the tree they were cutting. I've been around other work crews, and these guys stood out to me with how much they seemed to love what they were doing. They had a 100% positive attitude the whole day. They talked through what they were doing with me, and they took care of my property as if it were their own.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Heartwood, and will definitely work with them again in the future.

We quoted quite a few companies for tree trimming—and Heartwood was not only one of the best prices, but their knowledge and quality of service was top tier. They truly care about the health of the tree. They will be our go to for future projects. Thanks Heartwood team! ❤️

We have used Heartwood on multiple occasions and their work has always exceeded our expectations. Our most recent project was the removal of a large maple tree located within a perennial garden, adjacent to a deck and close to our house. There were many obstacles for Peter and his crew to work around (house, deck, plantings, landscape lighting, sprinkler system) but they completed the removal with surgical precision and left without a trace. Quality people are key to the success of any business… something Heartwood has definitely figured out!

We sought several bids on having our trees and shrubs trimmed and pruned. We were most impressed with Heartwood's knowledge of the different varieties, how to trim each kind according to habit and future growth, and when to trim them. The price quoted for the work was broken out in the bid. Compared to other bids, we considered it fair, with the bonus of their horticultural expertise and the advice. The work performed (so far) was great - exactly what I was looking for, and the trees look so much better. We're looking forward to working with them again.

We had an overgrown lot that felt cramped and unhealthy. Heartwood did an incredible job bringing it back under control. During the initial review of our property it was obvious that Brent was knowledgeable, thoughtful about the health of the trees, and clearly cared about doing things the right way. His crew did a great job. Our property looks so much better now. We’re extremely grateful for their hard work and would absolutely recommend them to anyone needing a skilled, trustworthy arborist.

I had a tree split in half while I was away on a trip. It was in serious danger of falling on my garage. Upon returning home and finding this issue, I set out looking for bids to remove it. Brent got back to me very fast. Not only was this company the lowest priced bid of any I reached out to, but they moved their schedule around to get my tree removed faster in order to save my garage from destruction. I was away at work for most of the time while they did the removal. But I think they did a top notch job of removing it. Cleanup was also professional. Tree removal makes a huge mess. And I think the crew did a really nice job of picking up after the job was done. I would use Heartwood again if I need another tree removed. I’ll attach before and after photos. Thanks!

My family has worked with Heartwood Tree Company twice, and both experiences were good. We had four Black Walnut trees removed in the fall of 2025 and they planted several trees and bushes for us in April 2026. The tree removal was fascinating to watch and it was so satisfying to get those trees out of our back yard. Our HOA is the worst and needs a letter from an arborist explaining why the trees should be removed, and Heartwood composed a very well written letter for us.

We were able to consult with Heartwood about what to plant in our backyard (especially since we had Black Walnuts), and they made great suggestions. We got in an awesome sale and bought several trees from Heartwood. I love that they plant everything and guarantee everything for a year. They offer a great product and amazing service. And they stand behind it. I would definitely hire Heartwood again in the future.

My wife and I moved into our house 3 years ago, and one of the things that we really loved about it was the beautiful black walnuts in the back yard, easily the tallest trees on the block. Unfortunately, when our first spring came around, there were a lot of dead branches that came tumbling down with it. The previous owners had never done any tree maintenance.

On advice from neighbors, we contacted Joe House for an inspection. He came by personally, and was extremely knowledgeable and helpful about our trees, what we could expect for the future, and what sorts of work was necessary now, in addition to quite a bit of local botanical knowledge.

When Joe's crew came by to trim some of the deadwood, it was a real treat to watch. Those are some high climbers! They removed the deadwood, cleared away all of the debris, and were also able to remove an ash near the fence line (due to the emerald ash borer issue that's hitting a lot of the US) while preserving a Norwegian elm just a few feet away.

After all the work was done, Joe helped me to pick out and set up a tree swing for my kids, who have really enjoyed being able to play in their yard without any fear from falling deadwood!

We had a team from Tree House Arbor Science out to prune a couple of trees yesterday. They did a fantastic job, and I would recommend them for anyone needing such work. I have already requested a quote for some additional work.

Tree House Arbor Science really came through when we had a large branch come down on a telecom line in our backyard. They were able to come out the same day for an assessment, and the crew showed up at 8 am the next morning for the removal. Everyone else we asked said it would be days or weeks to get out there. The cost was very reasonable and we were impressed with the care they took in the removal not to damage anything else. Would definitely use again for our tree care needs.

Joe came out to view a house we were in the process of purchasing with several large trees on the property. As first-time homebuyers, his quotes and consultation helped us make informed decisions. So far we've had two trees trimmed and reinforced, and one compromised basswood removed. We could not be happier with the work and plan to call in Joe's team for all our future tree needs!

I contacted Tree House Arbor Science about trimming a large tree overhanging my house. After inspecting the tree, we found cracks in both the limbs and trunk. Despite the cold wet weather that day, they were able to remove the entire tree and grind the stump.

I can’t say enough about their professionalism and patience as they worked through the process with me.

We used Joe to remove three Ash trees and have consulted with him on new plantings. He is truly an expert and craftsmen. His recommendations are backed by science. His crew is professional and it's clear that safety is a priority. Many contractors will send one person to bid the job and others to complete; Joe will be there and will be the guy in the tree. Joe also accommodated us with reusing the chipped wood and cuttings for our kids to play on!

Cannot recommend these guys highly enough! Hired them to cut down a rotten cherry tree and trim several trees 10 ft away from the house, and they did a fantastic job. Communicative and knowledgeable, as well as quiet and clean. Hire these guys!

I met with Joe first, and his passion for and knowledge of trees really impressed me. He spent considerable time with me walking around the property, going over every tree, and coming up with a long-term plan to maintain the health of our trees and protect our home. He also advised which trimming would need to wait until the dormant season to avoid risk of fungal rot.

The crew just wrapped at my property and I am so happy with the work. They left everything incredibly clean, and they worked with electric equipment so it was incredibly quiet while they were working. Consider me impressed and grateful.

Tree House Arbor Science helped me this past week with a large tree removal as well as various other tree trimming and cabling projects. The team provided great consultation in advance of the performing the work. They were timely and professional in all they did. The end result was better than expected. They cleaned up after themselves well. I couldn't be happier with the result.

Jeff is an extremely knowledgeable arborist and does great work! We are so grateful he was able to assist us in preserving our trees.

Innovative Tree Care treated our two large ash trees for Emerald ash borer, and we are so happy to be working with them. Jeff is very knowledgeable, providing resources and helpful advice. He patiently answered questions and helped us understand the condition and options. I was so impressed that Innovative Tree Care came over in person to assess the trees progress after one year of treatment, so we could discuss my questions in person.
