My lawn seems to be heading in the right direction. An intense infestation of grubs left it bare. Although the problem wasn't identified by me early enough. I hope that this coming fall the plugging and seeding will get it looking good next spring. The broadleaf weeds are under control, and my bushes were sprayed for bugs. Tru green has done a good job so far.

I have been dealing with TruGreen Lawn Care for a couple of years now. There have been some hiccups of course. Overall I enjoy their service and their specialist are always courteous. I know they have a tough job especially with my fur babies who think they own the world. Keep up the good work.

I love TruGreen, and it’s not just the performance of the products, but the guarantee, they will reapply till it’s corrected, but one of the bigger highlights is the care team, if you are lucky enough to get Stacey G as your service provider that visit, you have the best. He is so friendly and easy to talk to. He really truly knows his product and is the services. He did also suggest service as if it was to his own family, only the services you truly need. That level of honesty and pride in his work really shows, I couldn’t be happier and I will stick with TruGreen .

The service person that returned for the follow up did an excellent job! On the revisit he explained to me he did not realize the pool area, sides and back to the markers. I appreciated his honesty and great follow-up! Thank you!

For a change I was super impressed by the mosquito control application today. Usually the tech is here and gone in 10-15 minutes, especially if they think I’m not home. Today was much better, Cameron W. Took the time to walk the property properly and to do a thorough job. I appreciate good service when it’s performed correctly. I wish their lawn service was as diligent. Thanks Cameron for taking the time to do the job right.

As a fairly new customer I didn’t know what to expect of my service. They are great at communicating beforehand so I can corral my dogs to allow them to treat my backyard without problems. All of the guys I’ve dealt with are personable, prompt and professional. No sooner than they finished the application did I have my summary. Not only a printed one from Daniel, but on their website, as well. I knew exactly what services were done and what was used to do it. So far, I’m very impressed with TruGreen…I hope my yard will be, as well.

The workers did a great job applying my lawn fertilizer and weed spray. They have a scheduling issue since it was two months since their last application. Next week is July and my lawn has tons of weeds and it is not very green.

I prepaid for 6 services with TruGreen based on their contract that promised treatments every 4–6 weeks — that’s a lie. They showed up inconsistently, often with huge gaps between visits, and spent maybe 5 minutes in the yard. It didn't matter if it was raining or windy — they applied chemicals anyway, which clearly isn't effective or safe.

When I brought this up with the local Milwaukee rep, he was rude and dismissive. After my 6 prepaid services were done, customer service refused to cancel my account. I had to beg in live chat for over an hour to get someone to agree to cancel it, and then another 30 minutes just to get a cancellation number. Even then, they didn’t ask for my address or email until after claiming it was canceled — so I honestly still don’t know if it is.

TruGreen makes it incredibly hard to leave. Once you’re in, you’re stuck unless you fight to get out. I wouldn’t recommend them to my worst enemy.

I was very pleased with the timeliness and notification of True Greens service. The only reason I gave a four star rating was because I couldn’t be there at the time they were there to talk and ask questions of their agent. But as far as I can tell, they did what they needed to do for our first visit. A very pleased customer so far

They have a good product when their techs actual apply it to your ENTIRE lawn. The past few times they've been here, the techs either didn't spray the edges of my yard or didn't spray the center of my yard or didn't spray entire sections of my yard resulting in weeds growing in the area not treated. I shouldn't have had to buy a few gallons of weed killer to use to spray where they didn't. The area they do treat though do result in a great looking lawn.
Before they respond and say that I should have called in to request a second treatment, I'll head them off and say that I did! At least twice but I believe it was three times now. Yes, they did come back and respray but we shouldn't have to call to complain, it should be done properly the first time! Be a boss and hold your employees accountable. That's your money that they are wasting why forcing you to send someone out again to reapply a product that should have been applied properly the first time!
Too bad the Corp bosses don't pay attention to the reviews that the franchisee owners choose to ignore so they could hold the franchisee accountable and the franchisee is forced to hold their employees accountable for all these bad reviews.

After the entire season using TruGreen for my yard, I have to say I'm disappointed with the results! The problems started early when I noticed parts of my yard slowly die off in areas. When I signed up, they offered a free lawn analysis, to this day I never got one! And after reading other reviews, it doesn't look like anyone else has either (false advertising??). This spring TruGreen came in and started their service. With every application, I noticed more and more bare spots popping up. None of the application notes indicated anything about the cause or even there being a problem. Last month, I dug up half the the back yard to correct a drainage issue and found the yard loaded with grubs! How does a company that specializes in lawn care not recognize an issue with grubs?? Looking at past application notes, I do see a mention of treating for them early in the program but no applications during the peak times of grub growth when it is most needed. Again I ask, how does a company that specializes in lawn care not recognize an issue with grubs and schedule grub control during the peak times? I'm not a lawn pro, I don't know nor do most home owners know what grub damage looks like. It's clear TruGreen doesn't train their employees to either. If they did, they would be able to spot issues and report them for future treatments.

When I spoke to someone after my initial review, I was assured that they would make things right. The gal did send someone out to re-treat for weeds, but I would have thought that person they sent out would be trained to spot trouble spots and have them addressed. That definitely wasn't the case because again, a properly trained yard pro would, or at least should have known what grub damage looks like.
Taking things into my own hands, I spent $35 for a bag of grub control, did one application and a week later the grub problem appears to have been resolved. I dug up a section that previously was loaded with them and not one living grub was found.
Maybe it's time TruGreen rethought it's training program and how their "pros" identify and report the condition of their customers yards. They clearly don't provide a condition report like they advertise so I guess it's no surprise they don't report the condition of their customers lawns so they can adjust future applications. Maybe it's best to just go back to a self application program again.

Steven, my technician today provided great service I was not at home at the time however, I acknowledged him on my Ring Doorbell. He tried to establish face-to-face contact, an incredible turnaround from my previous technicians. Steven was tenacious and provided professional Service I look forward to a continue relationship with Trugreen.

It was my 1st time ever using true green. Not what I expected for the price. They showed up and supposedly sprayed my whole yard in 8min. Never got my lawn analysis like they said or even talked to anyone from the company at any point ever.

*** Follow up after my first season with Tru-Green. It was the worst mistake I could have ever made with lawn care. They ruined my entire yard in July by burning the grass with fertilizer. They refunded me $94 for destroying a 1/4 acre lot. They promised to fix the damage which they attempted over 2 months after the fact in October. I never received aeration that was part of the package nor did any of the treatments rid my yard of clover and crabgrass. For those of you thinking about trying them out like I did please save yourself the money. They were just completely terrible. Hopefully if you’re reading this you learn from my error.

After having another lawn service for 5 years, I decided to try Trugreen. I will say that with the other company, my lawn looked nice. Since having Trugreen just this year, it looks AMAZING! Especially my backyard! So green, thick and lush! You have gone above and beyond all my expectations.

Great dependable service. Service techs are friendly and pay attention to details.
They leave complete summaries of work done and listen carefully to customer requests. If a complication should occur, a quick return/reapplication service has been the usual response.
I can definitely recommend Tru Green lawn service and service technicians like Antwaun Dyson for their fast, friendly, and professional lawn care of our property.

My Technician Joziah B. performed an excellent Aeration and Lawn Overseeding Mix service today. He was punctual, professional and very knowledgeable. He provided me, as always with great information for after care of my lawn. Trugreen has brought this yard back above standard. Next year the putting green will be installed and plan on inviting a few local pros from the PGA over for some hamburgers and brats.

Rashaad Moore showed up and actually did his job. I mean this was the 2nd time that since I’ve been a customer that any specialist has ever asked me to remove the gates in my back yard so that he could actually reach and treat my grass properly. Not sure after all this time just this year why no one mentioned or left a note stating my gates should be removed for future treatments so their equipment could be used properly but I appreciate his attentiveness to make sure I got the full service I’ve been paying for this time around. Thanks Rashaad. Please send him back for the next treatment.

I just want to give a shout out to Aldrick Nolasco who has provided over the top service on my lawn on 9/29 and today (11/18). On Sep 29 Aldrick did an outstanding job aerating and seeding my lawn. He took extra care with damaged areas that needed special attention and in addition, he provided me with a detailed plan to water and mow the lawn after the seed germinated. Also, he was back today to apply a fall/winter fertilizer and weed control and gave me outstanding advice. On a scale of 1-10 I would give Aldrick a 10,000!!!!. Moreover, I want to thank Nathan Proffitt who came out on 10/13 to apply fertilizer after the aeration and seeding. This had a terrific impact on the new lawn growth which has developed and filled in really well. So thank you Nathan!!! Finally, a shout out to Scott Zavinki who manages the Ashland VA branch. He came out multiple times when I requested it to test the soil and address several challenges that arose this year. He then developed the best treatment options and helped advise me accordingly. He has helped me out so many times I can't count them all. Thank you Scott!!!
