My Central AC bit the dust after 15 years. I called 3 companies in my area for estimates. All 3 said I needed a complete new system. Competitive Heat & Air gave me one of the quotes and I chose them to do the work. I checked the BBB and found they have an A+ rating. There price was competitive and they had an opening the next day. Their 2 man crew was on time as scheduled and I had my new AC installed and working...24 hr's after the quote was completed. I'm very happy and would highly recommend this company. A note from me: I found from my research that Central AC units made in the US are all very similar. Trane might make 2 other units that have a different brand name, same thing with other top brands. I would recommend making your decision based on the contractor you pick. Do more research [as I did] on who the installer is. Are they local? Have they been in business long enough to have a good reputation? Last...do they try to sell you something you don't need? Good luck.

Woke up on a Sat to 55F and falling! Competitive was onsite quickly. They fixed it, told me about some other potential problem areas and never, I mean never, mansplained! A++++++++ they are my go-to for HVAC!
PS they also suggested doing the minor other repairs during the week so as to not incur OT charges. Well done Competitive, well done.

This company was one of the best I have worked with. If I had a question, I would text Matt and he always responded right away. Explained the procedure clearly and his price was much lower than others. Very easy to work with. I would highly recommend this company!

Called to have them look at my air exchanger system. Tech came out and said the issue was possibly an install issue and that he'd have the owner call/stop out to provide a quote. A week and a half passed and no call. I contacted the office and the lady answering the phone couldn't have been nicer. She said she'd speak with the owner (who actually lives a block away from me) and he'd be in touch shortly. Well 2 more weeks later still no call. I kind of have the impression that this contractor is only interested in new construction installs or easy fixes. That's completely cool with me but at least have the courtesy to call me back and let me know you're not interested in the job. I can at least respect that. I'll give Southport Heating and Cooling a call for this job and future services.

Mary very informative of what involved in service call. Matt came and was very informative of choosing a new ac unit. Kyle dd an excellent, professional job of installing my new ac. very pleased with company and their excellent service and staff.

Competitive Heating installed a heater in my garage. All interactions with Competitive heating employees were extremely knowledgeable and professional with every possible detail of their work well thought out. We look forward to our vehicles not being popsicles this year. Cheers to warm vehicles in the wintertime. I would highly recommend Competitive Heating.

Called them late on Friday and they where able to come out early Monday morning to service and clean my furnace before I moved. Dave was the technician and he was very nice and knowledgeable. Would not hesitate to give them a call in the future!

They were able to get a technician to our home the same day I called and he diagnosed the issue immediately where a different company did not give us a clear or confident answer. The price was about 25% less than the other quote we received. They credited us for diagnostic fee when we purchased a new system from them. The installation was performed two business days later. The technician modified the air handler to allow access from the front instead of the back because the previous owner of my home built a wall very close to it. They answered the phone each of the times I called and returned my calls when they said they would. I was very satisfied with all aspects of our experience.

We are VERY pleased with Competitive Heating & Air Conditioning, LLC. They arrived when they said they would and completed the project in one day. They were very professional and did a fantastic job. They were very nice too! We are so happy to have air conditioning again!!!

Of all the local companies, Matt was the most knowledgeable and genuinely cared to get the job done right. I had a brand new furnace AC combo pack installed and it turned defective less than a year later. I contacted Competitive Heating & Cooling and they knew what the issue was and resolved for me in less than a week. Thank you, Matt for all your help. I would highly recommend!

I’d like to give A big “shout out” to Matt and the gang at Competitive Heating. I highly recommend them for your heating and air conditioning needs. Had them install a whole house dehumidifier system. From the initial consultation to the install and follow up, they were top notch. Besides the great customer service, I found their prices to be competitive. Summing it up, I don’t think you can go wrong using Matt and his guys for your heating and air conditioning problems.

I called the emergency number at night and let the person know that we were out of heat but fine until the morning. Promptly at 7 am I received a call from Competitive Heating and Brandon the service technician was at our condo by 7:20. Everyone I dealt with was courteous, professional, and informative. Great team. Thanks for your great response to our need, with a fair assessment and repair, at a reasonable price.

Our A/C quit on the hottest day of the year and we always use the local businesses as a rule. Competitive immediately dispatched their tech, Alex, who was here in a flash. Alex diagnosed our problem quickly and made the necessary repairs in short order and we were back to normal. Alex explained everything as he worked in a professional manner and made recommendations about how we could prevent future service calls. We will certainly use their services in the future and recommend Competitive to all.

Matt did the assessment and knew his product and gave me good information. Alex came for the install and did a great job. Very good clean up after as well. He showed me and explained what he had done and how the new system worked.

We had a new AC unit and fan coils replaced by Competitive Heating and Cooling a couple of weeks ago. Everyone we had contact with was friendly and knowledgeable. Matt and his team were all fantastic. The installers (I’m sorry that I didn’t get their names)worked tirelessly to get us up and running as soon as they could, even though at times there were some tricky things to overcome. Scheduling was also easy and Mary was on the ball with everything. Thank you for the excellent service.

First Call, Dawn answered. very personable, friendly, & professional. Then Mary returned my call to secure a day for the initial call, perfectly done...and speaking of perfect...Dave was the tech sent out. He too, very professional & personable. He found the issue, pointed out the problem & gave me the solution for the fix. I told him to go ahead and order the part, said it would come in a few days...turned out to be two, and when Mary called, I requested that Dave be the tech to come back and do the replacement, and it was just two days later. The most impressive part about this all. is how I was quoted a price, also relayed to me by Mary, and NO hidden costs. Any future HVAC issues, and the only call I need to Make is Competitive...!!!
