Jerome and Tina were very responsive and professional. Jerome was one of the best technicians I have been around. My unit is up in age and I was expecting him to tell me to replace it. He fixed the issue and said why would you replace something that can be fixed! They were very professional and I will recommend them to everyone that has AC issues.

Jerome is great! I love the quality of his service. We are going on our third year of regular maintenance and he is so thorough to make sure our furnace and ac keep running. You will not be disappointed!

I hate to give them such a bad review. We’ve used them three times this Summer. They fixed both of our HVACs but after 2 months our HVAC they “fixed” stopped working again. Trying to get in touch with anyone has been so difficult. They do not return calls. There’s been no communication. They absolutely don’t care.

I had a WONDERFUL experience with Optimist. First, the communication was fast and professional. My HVAC system wasn’t working at all on Saturday, with temps in my house reaching mid 80’s! The fans could not really cool it down or do anything. My son and I both have breathing issues, making the heat unbearable. One company came on Sunday, alleging my entire system was dead and needed to be replaced. They wanted to charge almost 12,000. I listened to the advice of my parents however, and called another company (Optimist). I called on Wednesday afternoon. I explained my heat and breathing issues to Jerome, the gentleman who answered the phone. He said he could come Thursday between 1 and 3pm. This was confirmed via text communication, where I received a confirmation of the appointment and the FULL name of the person I should expect to be at my house. On Thursday morning, I received a text letting me know Jerome was en route to me. He actually arrived 2 hours early in the pouring rain. With this heat, it was very appreciated! Jerome was very considerate of my home and space, and very polite. He quickly alleviated the issue (my house went from 81 degrees to 72 degrees in minutes). I mentioned the prior company stating my entire system needed to be replaced, and Jerome explained in great detail why that wasn’t the case yet. As a disabled woman who lives alone, I really appreciate Jerome not nickel and dime-ing me by alleging I needed things I really didn’t. It has been 3 hours since Jerome left, and my home remains cool and comfortable! I am so grateful, and will continue using Optimist due to this wonderful experience and transparency.

Optimist is the only heating and cooling company we will use. Jerome is friendly, knowledgeable and honest. We just had a new AC installed and are so happy with the work, price and follow up. Would definitely recommend!

Not only was the technician knowledgeable, but they also took the time to explain everything clearly and offered honest recommendations without any pressure.

Jerome was great, I highly recommend his company! He installed a condensation pump at the right price and did a great job. Another large company in the Birmingham area WAY over quoted me for the same job. Optimist is an honest company that does great work!
