Our long time repair and install company has given us a diagnosis and quote that didn't seem right. Juan came out the next day and proved their diagnosis wrong which ended up saving us quite a bit of money. The repair we actually needed was done quickly and efficiently. Juan and Vertex are amazing. I had contacted them late evening and they got back to me, which was amazing because most companies do not answer after hours.

I hired Vertex because the weather is getting hot and I know I need my tune up done. I’m a single mother and don’t have a lot of money so I need to take care of my unit as best I can and prevent any issues that I can so my kids and I can enjoy a comfortable summer without costly repairs. I do have a home warranty, and typically would go through them for an AC tune up for the last 5 years, but it would concern me that random men, who didn’t always have marked vehicles or company logo shirts would come to service. This isn’t the biggest deal since I was expecting someone, but it also wasn’t comforting. And those techs would just check voltages and leave. I decided to find my own company to do my tune up. I checked Facebook, google, and next door and Vertex was always one of the most recommended and highly rated. At 10pm I sent a FB message asking about pricing, and the business got back to me less than 10 mins later! Within minutes of my message I had an appointment that worked with my schedule. Day of the appointment I received a text message that Juan was on his way, and it included his picture. I’m not helpless, but as a woman alone with her kids in the home, it was comforting having an idea who was coming. Juan showed up on time in a company van that clearly said Vertex, he wore a company shirt, was clean and orderly, and was incredibly kind and SO respectful. He was here for almost an hour doing the tune up. He cleaned the unit, actually took off the outer panels and cleaned it, checked the thermostat, made sure the heater worked, checked the filters and drain lines in the attic, and even had a recommendation for my unit to prevent failure. The company also has their own maintenance service plan that fit any lifestyle that they offer. Throughout the whole process I felt like a valued customer, they treated me and took care of me in a way that I would want someone to treat a member of my family. I am absolutely going to use Vertex for all of my future tune up/maintenance needs as well as recommend them to my friends and family

Juan came out on a weekend for an emergency call when our A/C shut off in 100+ degree weather and fixed the issues. This system was only installed 3 weeks prior, and the people who installed it 3 couldn't seem to fix. I tried calling the installers to come out for the 4th time in a week because it kept blowing a fuse. Apparently they aren't open on weekends for emergencies like they claim they are. So I contacted Vertex on a referral from someone. Amazing service and all around great guy to work with.

Update: I spoke with Juan today and was impressed by his professionalism in listening to my concerns. It’s clear that he genuinely cares about his customers. He immediately offered a solution, which I truly appreciate. It’s always refreshing to deal with a company that values its customers and works with them to find resolutions.

I’m extremely disappointed with the service we received from Vertex. We originally called them for an AC tune-up, during which they recommended replacing our capacitor. We agreed and paid for what we were told was a new capacitor. However, just two months later, our AC stopped working again during a heat wave.

We tried calling Vertex for help, but no one answered. Because it was far too hot to wait, we contacted a different HVAC company to come take a look. What they found was both frustrating and concerning. The issue was the capacitor—again. But even more shocking was their observation that the capacitor Vertex installed looked used, not new. It had black burn rings around it and even had tape residue on it, clear signs of prior use. This was infuriating—especially considering we paid for a brand-new part.

To make matters worse, the new technician also discovered that our fan had been installed incorrectly. This is either due to Vertex’s poor installation job or a complete oversight during their so-called “tune-up.” Either way, it’s unacceptable.

The second company corrected both issues, but this entire experience has left us with a serious lack of trust in Vertex. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend them to anyone. We will absolutely not be using their services again.

This is the second time in the past year or so that Juan has been out to our home for two different issues. This time he was here within an hour of me calling for a simple capacitor replacement. Juan is always pleasant to speak to and as bonus...he doesnt seem to mind satisfying my curiosity by answering my questions while he works. The repair wasn't cheap but he charged a reasonable price for a project I just didn't have the time to sit down and research on my own.

Juan is very professional and welcoming. He communicates quickly and shows up on time. I wouldn’t use anyone else!
