My wife and I dealt with Mike who very professional and timely. Although we did go with another company due to price, we found Pool and Landscape AZ to be pretty competitive compared to other companies we looked at. Mike was very responsive to my emails and questions and very understanding about our decision to go with another company. I would recommend them based on that experience alone.

If you're looking to build a pool, look no further! This company was a dream to work with! Called for a quote, next day Robert was out...measured our overgrown 3ft tall weeds/grass of a backyard..asked us basic questions..size, shape, depth, features..we were emailed a quote with 3D plans , every single detail included days later...that Sunday on his day off we met him at their east mesa location and went over everything..made changes, adding things on the spot, cost included...thought it would be hard to pick materials..everything was there, layed out to see. Travertine choices out front, every tile you could imagine on the walls. Robert let us choose, but told us his favorites. They use the best quality of all materials. Found out later our turf was the best there is 80oz Bermuda. We got our quote Feb. 27th.. signed our contract on March 5th..was told sign to swim 4-5 months and we were swimming on July 17th...every date that was set was met. Our project manager Scott was the best of the best! On top of every single phase and thing that happened. We didn't have to worry about a thing! We got multiple quotes, some on a zoom meetings with satellite images of our house..some who came out, but put no effort in or couldn't even provide a quote for weeks. Or would give one, with a base price then add every single detail after the fact ending up costing more. We even asked a company to "rush" our quote to compare, which they did then never followed up on return emails. We waited over a year to build bcs the more people we told we were planning to build a pool the more horror stories we heard. This company does quality work, is more than competitively priced, and you will love the outcome! Robert, Scott thank you for making our dreams come true! You guys are more than experts in the business..Robert I couldn't have designed our pool better myself...and Scott you are a master mind...I'm a math minded accountant myself and my husband is a contractor and you doing the work to match up all our elevations of our existing concrete and pavers..then being there for every single construction phase, inspections, all of it..you were here managing things when we didn't even know it. I can't thank you all enough! The entire experience was far beyond anything we could have hoped for! Our scheduler, Dawn..thank you!! Sure you don't get the mentions you deserve, but you set our expectations perfectly from the get go, scheduled all phases, were in constant communication..you were awesome too! I don't have single complaint and we couldn't love our pool and backyard more!! Thanks again!!

Edited: our pool was completed in March 2021 (we signed the contract in September 2020) which was pretty common timeframe for the pool industry at this time. Looking back the main point of contention for us was reporting much quicker completion times throughout the project (12 weeks from contract signing) when the reality was it was taking much longer. Happy with the end product!

Unfortunately we’re pretty frustrated right now with the progress of our project. Every single timeline they gave us has been 2-4 weeks longer than anticipated. And not all due to material availability but mainly due to crews not showing up. My husband works as a superintendent every day and understands the demands and material issues occurring right now. Every reasonable request we have made for cleanup or to make progress in one area when another crew doesn’t show up has some excuse why it cannot be completed. We are beyond frustrated and I hope we can remedy this and end on good note somehow. As of right now I’m not sure that’s possible. Would love management or the owner to return our phone calls also. Thank you.

We are very pleased with the design and construction of our new pool by Pool & Landscape AZ. Matt W., our sales and design guy, patiently consulted us on design options, finishes and colors. Our project manger, Gus T. was responsive, friendly and keep us informed. The entire team was hard working and delivered on-time and on-budget. Great experience!

We interviewed 4 different pool construction companies, but because of David Newton's professionalism and his final design we selected Pool & Landscape AZ.
Our backyard remodel, was a huge undertaking, that took over 7 months to complete. Pool & Landscape's crews were here every day and were very respectful of our time and property.
Gus Torres was our Project Manager, and was onsite almost every day, to ensure the crews followed the design plans and to choreograph materials and labor.
As with any large project, there were hiccups along the way, but the speed, professionalism and fairness with which Gus handled the situations was incredible.

We took our time choosing a pool company, had several quotes and ultimately decided to go with Pool and Landscape AZ.
The pool design by Jeff was our favorite design from all the pool builders we met with and ultimately why we picked Pool and Landscape AZ.
Our project manager Randy was so nice, responsive and easy to deal with.

My Husband and I built our forever home in Queen Creek last year. All that was left was turn our dirt backyard into our dream pool. We were so happy to have found this company. David came up with the perfect design for our back yard and had so many creative ideas we had not even thought of until meeting with him. We were instantly sold! You could tell that he loves what he does because he was so passionate about his work. We felt like he actually cared about our questions and concerns, which was a huge relief after having so many issues with the builder of our home. We absolutely love our pool and travertine decking and could not be happier!

Not only was the bid fair, the work was done in a timely manner. Tristan overseen the work and would frequently check the progress and my satisfaction with the work and progress. Pool and Landscape AZ is the company to go to for building a pool! We met with almost a dozen different company's and they were hands down head and shoulders above the rest, from people, quality, design and price.

We first met with Matt on design and pricing. He is an awesome guy and knows his stuff. We had some preliminary ideas that he worked with. He pointed out the pros and cons of things without putting down things we wanted to do, like some of the others companies we met with did. We ultimately came up with a beautiful design thanks to Matt. We appreciated Matt's professionalism and being very personable. From our first initial meeting in our home to meeting at the design center to review final design and pick out the different tile, travertine, pool glass, etc. One thing I appreciate the most about Matt is after we signed the contract he followed up through the build to see how things were going and if we had any questions or concerns. To me that just shows his integrity didn't just disappear after the money was made. Thanks Matt!!!

Our project manager Gus was an awesome guy as well. Couldn't say enough about him. This guy knows his stuff and is on top of everything going on. He was always there when he said he was going to be met all of his commitments. He was always responsive to any phone calls with questions. Even when there was some rain delays he communicated to us that things got moved do to the rain and provided an updated schedule on how things were going to be moved. The great thing was some how he managed to make up the time without letting anything slip per there original commitment. Top notch guy! One thing I really appreciated about Gus is how he communicated and treated everyone doing the work. He seemed to treat everyone the same with respect, friendliness, and honesty. To me that's important as everyone seemed to enjoy the job and the results reflected that. Thanks Gus!!!

I signed the contract with Pool and Landscape AZ back in Oct. 2021 with the understanding that there was supply chain and labor shortages, and as long as we were swimming by summer of 2022, it would be well worth it. Jack was great, he answered all my questions and went above and beyond to contact me with updates on the progress during planning and permits. Dawn from scheduling was top notch and always kept me in the loop on next steps. And Randy the project manager..... this guys is amazing, and on top of his game. Always willing to go the extra mile and answer all my questions. I even had an unexpected deadline to get the pool completed, and he worked magic to get it done. I would highly recommend this team to anyone interested in getting a pool built.

NO MORE BACKYARD ENVY!!

We've waited for 14 years to put in our pool and it was worth the wait to use AZ Pool and Landscape. We had an idea of what we wanted our backyard oasis to look like and AZ Pool and Landscape has delivered thanks to Gus Torres, our project manager. Gus was very professional, even in the face of some of our frustrations. He listened to our concerns and was able to explain how the project was planned which helped manage our “first-time-pool-owners” expectations. He always made the necessary time for our questions, and keeping us up to date about what was happening. He helped us make some last minute changes as well and orchestrated everything smoothly. Our backyard is now a resort space that we have used more in the last few weeks than we have for the last 14 years we have lived here. We are looking forward to many years of enjoying our pool. We have heard many of horror stories about people and their pool builds so we were skeptical. I have to say we have the most amazing team at Pool & Landscape AZ.
From start to finish they were amazing and it was so quick.
Gus was our salesman. He listened to exactly what we wanted and designed us an amazing pool. Dawn went above and beyond in the office making sure everyone was scheduled, we knew they were coming and they were here on time.
It literally looks exactly like the rendering and we could not be more pleased.

David did a fantastic job in making all of our pool design dreams come true. He listened intently to all of our specific needs for our special needs children and then executed beyond our imagination! He also took great care to make sure we were getting the most bang for our buck! Highly recommend!!

This was an extremely disappointing experience.

I will start by stating that the office staff is friendly and accommodating. They were responsive in answering questions and gathering status information.

My salesperson was mysteriously fired during the build. Wonder what that was about?

Now on to the less than stellar construction management.

The supervisor was absent most of the time and impossible to contact unless you spotted him on site or when he was asked to pick up a check. I will disclose that he did have a family emergency that took him away from the construction process, but even outside that window of time he was seldom present.

The dig went well, and although we did encounter a hard-dig, excavation still took only two days.

Plumbing, rebar and shot-crete all went fairly smoothly with only minor setbacks (some of the plumbing had to be reworked).

Then came deck construction. The initial delivery of travertine tiles came with no pool coping. I thought this odd so I called to advise of a possible issue. The office person I spoke with also thought this to be odd, so she inquired further. She relayed to me that they would cope the edge by hand after installation. Now having moved here from Oregon, where there is no need for swimming pools, I had no idea whether this is common. IT IS NOT!! They also ran out of travertine during deck construction, presumably because there was no coping ordered. When they showed up a few days with the additional travertine, it was a different color. I didn't address it at the time due to my lack of experience (remember, Oregon). I though it was just from a different lot, but was actually a different color (ANS light vs dark). That's on me for not addressing it then, but the audacity to screw the customer in this way tells you a little about the company. There seemed to be a different deck crew every day. I think I got "A" team on day one, and it went downhill each day after. The decking is already becoming uneven with numerous high and low spots.

Landscaping crew was good, so that was a redeeming factor.

Here are some other low-lights. Fence and gate reconstruction had the be redone three times!! Excess rocks/dirt after landscaping sat in the street for over a week. Backfill of front yard landscape stone took three phone calls to get completed.

If you are located in the East Valley, you are likely to have a better experience. I state this, because it was necessary to bring in the construction manager due to the West Valley team incompetence. That person had his act together.

Hope this helps in making a decision.

Update 5/17/2019: I've raised my rating to 3 stars. Kudos to the company for fixing the incorrect tile color. Standing by your work is an imperative quality in a company when spending tens of thousands of dollars.

Unfortunately, the lot colors are quite different, but not necessarily the fault of Pool and Landscape AZ. The quality of the work remains substandard (e.g inconsistent cuts, inadequate paver sand fill, etc). The "D" team showed up.

This has been a very enjoyable experience. AZ Pools finished our pool in 7 weeks. Triston was amazing and very professional. He stayed on top of the project and made sure everything was done right. I would definitely recommend AZ pools to my friends. Thank you.

AZ pool and landscape. Took them 10 months as there are shortages but I totally recommend them. The communication was stellar as I have 2 dogs and had to plan plus one of the best/cheapest around. I interviewed 15 companies. Scott was freaking amazing!!!
