Appliance Repair reviews in Phoenix, Arizona

The cost of repairs is not worth repairing given the machine’s age, but I appreciated the technician, who explained everything, and was kind, considerate, and helpful.

Scheduled a service repair for a refrigerator for a Saturday and was told the tech would be here between 1 and 5. Waited around all afternoon and he did not show. Close to 5 PM I received a call that he would not get here until 8 PM. Needless to say I told him forget about it, I will use another service. I guess only their time is valuable, not the consumer.

Had an appointment with them to fix our broken fridge. Waited a week. Took off work and waited all day. They never showed up, called or returned my phone call. Now having to wait almost 2 more weeks. We went with another company now.

TERRIBLE estimate - No Parts - Misrepresented Services - $476/hr labor rate! Wow, where to begin. Tear in the door boot seal requires part replacement and install. Called SEARS REPAIRS and confirmed my model/part type (exact same as services back in 2016). Agent opened the case and based off of the previous repair provided cost estimate of $175-300. Also referenced a separate dryer maintenance (vacuum front & back vents) service. Booked both with repair tech onsite in three days. Tech arrived with no part (ref two weeks to order!), and that repair would have $238 labor...but said only take 30mins to install the part. He also said dryer maintenance does front vent only (not back). COMPLETE estimate failure and false service representation! Calls are monitored, so filing complaint against agent...but plan for a $450+/hr labor rate for SEARS REPAIRS required. Or, you can buy their $600/yr maintenance plan.
(Edit Aug 20) Thank you for the review response! My update here is that on Aug 5, SEARS REPAIR texted that repair parts were on back order with an ETA past Aug 19. Based on this update I purchased a new washer and then cancelled the repair order on Aug 10. Reimbursement for fees extracted the day of the service order were refunded yesterday, except for the $99 diagnostic fee (which was 5 mins spent by the repair tech verifying my diagnosis provided when the service order was generated). Again I appreciate the response here but unfortunately my review is still accurate: call agent misrepresented the services and estimate, there continues to be part complications, and the SEARS REPAIR fees are very high. -
Couldn’t had a better person I don’t know what else to say. I couldn’t had a better person hundred percent God bless him.

Although your notification system wrong and the appointment was much later than previously texted Rafael did a great job on a difficult repair. Respectful of our home, polite, and efficient.

The technician was good but Sears is hiving me the round around about the repair this has been going since October they know the part is not available they sent this technician he did the same as the last one no results part not available problem still the same with dryer they’re researching the part still no good I’m about to go to the tv station and reporting them. I pay 70 per month and when I might need a replacement for the appliance they pull the part not available card this is the 2nd technician no results and I’m still paying per month I will not recommend this plan to snyonr

Making the apt was easy, however, each time I had a question about it, the apt was canceled on me-this happened 3 times-then the guy was late-that's right, left work early and wasted 4 hours and he still showed up late and I was not made aware of how late he'd be, and the live link to check on service advisor's arrival did not work, only stated the 4-hour window. Then my dryer lint did not get cleaned out. So I paid $50 for him to look inside my clean dryer and do nothing. I was not happy with the entire process and will find someone else to service my appliances in the future

When I initially called to make the appointment to have our Kenmore water softener repaired, I asked what the service fee was. The rep told me $89. My wife was at the home to let the tech in and was not aware of the quote I received. In addition to the $89 service fee, the tech charged an additional $120 for labor. The part was $214. I understand paying for the part. The tech was there 20 minutes. I think the additional $120 labor is a huge overcharge. I will not be using Sears services again.

The technician was extremely courteous. He took the time to patiently answer all my questions(re: service, warranty, labour's charges, etc).

The experience was honestly very professional. I came in for one thing n ending up getting a bed set due to a sale associate named Candice Renee, whom indeed went above and beyond. I'm more then satisfied with the service. I'm definitely may be a returning customer.. Your staff was also knowledgeable and made me aware of the information I needed to know about delivery, payment options, and warranties... All Staff members that I came in contact with were very courteous.

Sears Home Services is the single worst company i have ever worked with. I bought a warranty with my fridge and the fridge went out in August. Our first service appointment was set for September just for the tech to come tell me its broken and he needs to order parts. 2 of 3 parts show up and since not all 3 were there the follow up appointment was pushed back. Now we are in the middle of October and i call to check on things and they say we dont need the 3rd parts, its just a valve that the techs will have on their truck and we set an appointment for today, Holloween between 10-4, our tech calls with an ETA of 4:45, its halloween, that doesnt work with trick or treating. A rep call me and we reschedule for tomorrow. An hour or so later i get an email that says we rescheduled for November 21st, THATS 3 MONTHS AFTER MY ORIGINAL CALL!!! I cant call and talk to anyone in America, they cant replace my fridge and it seems they are trying to push things off until my warranty expires in January. I will never do business with Sears Home Warranty again.

The technician arrived when he said he would and worked for over an hour to fix the problem. Refrigerator is now in good working order. The only things that I was not happy about were that much water was left in the unit and on the floor and that the cover to the control box was broken and won’t close on one side.

Sears was assigned to me through my warranty company for a broken ac unit. We placed our service request on July 4 and the soonest Sears could come out was that Friday, July 7. Given it was a holiday I understood and was appreciative of the quick assessment by the company. After this my entire experience with the company was a disaster.
Our follow up appointment was scheduled for July 17 to replace the broken part. We were scheduled for an 8am arrival they didn’t show up until 3pm with zero notification. Once the technician arrived he informed me they ordered the wrong part. Once the technician left after a few hours later I received an appointment confirmation for Aug 2nd — almost 3 weeks out. I reside in Arizona and during this month we see the hottest temperatures. During the time we waited we zero response from the company we broke record high temperatures of 120 all week.
This company is the absolute worst. They have no way of speaking with a live human being. The phone like is automated with zero options of a customer service rep. I had to escalate with my warranty company just to expedite the shipping of the part and move the appointment.
During the week of July 17, I was told the part will arrive on Friday, July 21 with an install date of Monday, July 24. That Monday rolls around sand it’s radio silence from both the warranty company and Sears. After what felt like an eternity to receive a response my warranty company received confirmation they would arrive at 8:30am on 7/27 and asked me if I received a confirmation from Sears. I HEARD NOTHING - - no email, no phone call, no text. I sat in my hot home for 8+ at 106 degrees for the technician to not show up until 2:30pm with only a text confirmation of their arrival.
This company is a joke! They lack urgency, common sense and accessibility and I will be canceling my warranty to ensure I never have to deal with either parties ever again!!!! -
DO NOT USE!! We had a dishwasher that was not draining properly. Took 2 weeks to have a tech come out. He was very rude and not professional. Told me I needed a new drain pump for $400, which I ordered and paid for prior to the next appt for install. I had a local repair company come over for a 2nd opinion and it did not need a new drain pump- something on the bottom of the dishwasher needed to only be tightened. So, the tech came over and picked up the drain pump that I had ordered and paid for, and said I would get a refund to my card within 7 days. That did not happen. I called 4 TIMES to get my refund and never received it. Then I got an email from customer service that said in order to get the refund, I had to return the part!! This was 3 MONTHS later. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt, but clearly they are a scam. I finally just denied the charge on my credit card. RIDICULOUS!!!

Thank you Gerardo for your excellent customer service. You replaced my washer's water pump today. You explained everything perfectly and answered all questions!

The first technician that came out told us that the reason the refrigerator lights are not working is because the board went out. We ordered a bought a new board from Sears. The technician that came out to install it told us that the wrong board was ordered. He also found that the board in the refrigerator was still good, and that it was the lights themselves that had gone bad. We paid around $800 for this visit. Not happy at all. We feel like we have been ripped off and feel like we shouldn't have had to pay that much since the lights only cost about $40 each.

DO NOT call Sears Home services. Absolutely the worst experience I have ever had with a company. On the plus side, I scheduled an appointment online same day and someone came out a few hours later. This is what I remember from a few years ago. That's where the similarity ended. The "Representative" who came to my home had NO CLUE as to what he was doing - but he was very nice, as many other people mentioned in their reviews. He kept telling me he had to check with the "Techs" back at the company to see what they thought the problem was. He finally said they were going to replace the board and another part because it was the easiest thing to do - and the most expensive! Almost $800 to fix my fridge. And then I was told they didn't have the parts and it would take 2 weeks. WOW. Not what I expected from Sears, but the name means nothing now. Do yourself a favor - GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!

Bill as knowledgeable as he had to improvise to fix the problems - the part needed was not available so he worked around the problem.

Gerardo serviced our dryer and washer as we were experiencing some issues with both. He was a real gentleman, knowledgeable, generous with his time and patient in answering questions. He addressed our issues and gave us great tips moving forward caring for both appliances. He also helped us apply some coupons to reduce the amount of the service call for each appliance. Gerardo represents Sears very well. We hope to have him back to service another appliance. Great experience overall.

My Tech Eric was awesome. Fixed the problem and was outta here within 15 minutes. The problem I had was with the company's scheduling. I took off of work (Unpaid) for my 1st appointment on 5/30/25 between 8-5pm. No one showed up, and unable to reach anyone. All communication is automated. You only have an option to cancel or reschedule your appointment. I was notified by a message at 5:30 pm through my Home Warranty Company that my appointment has now been moved to 6/3/25 again 8-5pm. Well guess what!!!! I'm not taking off another day for a possible no show. I spent an hour trying to contact a real person to advise I'm won't be available until 1pm. I called my Home warranty company and they were unable to reach Sears appliance Repair either. I just took another chance they wouldn't show up until after 1pm. They showed up at 2:30 so everything was ok but still...... If you can't be available between 8-5pm don't book with them. There's no working with them on scheduling.
