This company is great! I have American Home Shield and from now on, I am going to request this company and request Austin (the tech) He listened to what I said and knew what I was talking about! He went above and beyond and saved me an additional $100 as I was told that I needed an ignitor (which I didn't need) They company understood what I was requesting and took care of it the sane day! Kudos to them for actually listening to the customer!

The heating function on my heat pump quit working properly, although the cooling function was fine. Action Mechanical quickly diagnosed the TXV valve as the likely culprit. Once it was installed the unit worked fine for a short while, but then the heat function failed again. Action Mechanical responded very quickly to follow-up and get things working properly. The solution was somewhat elusive as all evidence still pointed to a TXV valve and that had just been replaced. Action mechanical’s very competent techs kept at it and discovered the new valve was faulty and once more replaced the TXV valve. The repair was successful this time and the unit works perfectly. All this was done as warranty follow-up to the initial repair. Steve, the Operations Manager, was involved in the process and ensured I got rapid service and the parts needed to resolve the heating failure. I recommend their work and especially appreciate their commitment to customer satisfaction. Erv Grau

Service was promptly addressed and within the time frame stated. Problem was quickly solved. It was suspected that the problem might be a faulty starter - so I would have given a 5 star review if AMS would have arranged to replace the starter proactively rather than assure me they would come back if the problem persisted.

Choosing Action Mechanical to replace my AC was a great choice. The entire experience was positive from start to finish. The workmanship is excellent and allows me to have peace of mind that I no longer have linginering HVAC issues. Technician Kyle and Austin did a great job. They were in and out within three hours. Replaced coils in the attic charge up the system and it’s working very well. thank you👍👍

We have a home warranty, which offered a free furnace check up at the beginning of the season. Action came out and looked at two furnaces. There were some old nonfunctioning pieces in our attic which he cleared out for us and he replaced one capacitor. We did pay a home warranty fee for that, but we think it was a good deal and the mechanic was very friendly and knowledgeable.

Action Mechanical Services (AMS) is a polite, timely, expensive, but lacking attention-to-detail, HVAC contractor. Our home insurance contracted AMS to service a circuit breaker tripping issue on our 20+ year old R-22 5-ton system. After replacing the compressor capacitor, we asked that AMS inspect the wiring of the unit because many of the unit’s connections look poor. A wiring issue was found and apparently corrected. While on site we requested that they add a 5-2-1 hard start kit to an adjacent, 20+ year old, 3-ton unit. The installed cost of this single kit was $450.
A few days after AMS completed the work, the compressor capacitor on the 3-ton unit failed. We believe the 2-pole capacitor and hard start kit were wired incorrectly (see picture). Per the hard start kit install instructions, the red wire connects to the "run" side of the capacitor while the striped-yellow wire connects to the "start" side. As shown in the picture, the large yellow wire is the "start" side of the compressor while the large red wire is the "run" side of the compressor. Per the picture, the wiring was backwards. We corrected the wiring and replaced the capacitor to return proper system function.
Unfortunately, one of the 5-ton unit's spade terminals broke about 3 weeks later. The broken wire energizes the "starter" side of the compressor. The remaining "run" wire overheated causing significant damage to the wire (see contactor and dual run cap pictures). We replaced the "starter" wire's spade terminal returning that system to proper function. Perhaps better inspection of the wiring could have prevented this issue.
AMS, while polite and on time, is very expensive. The 5-2-1 hard start kit costs <$60 thus $390 for the install labor. $390 labor seems excessive, especially since the tech was already there for the insurance call. The lack of attention to detail on our 5-ton unit’s wiring and the wiring of the hard start kit complete our disappointment.

Showed up on time, was very knowledgeable in what he was doing, taking the time to explain what he was doing and why. Didn’t waste any time getting things taken care of to make sure our heating unit was functioning properly! Would definitely recommend 👍🏻

Even though I explained to these people, every time one of their HVAC people come, something goes bad immediately following the tune up. I thought Scott was going to do a good job this time
But he took me for an idiot and now my ac isn't keeping up after the supposed tune up. I have another company coming to see what damage has been done. Everything's been documented with home warranty.
Beware of this company.

The service we recieved from Scott was amazing. He was extremely polite, talked me through everything he was going to do, timeframe and the additional cost for the second unit. He was super quick and even offered to change my air filters - but we already did it. I would highly recommend Action Mechanical Services!

Office staff (Melissa and Dawn) were more than helpful during this horrible AC experience. Melissa kept it professional when I was clearly upset over the whole ordeal. Initially home warranty sent another company to do an annual inspection, and they found significant damage and low refrigerant. Quoting me an outrageous amount. I called home warranty and requested a second opinion. The tech determined that the unit was running according to spec- just old. (Which is accurate) they quoted me for 3 different units. . Dawn worked with me on pricing and financing. 2 days later my unit was installed. If you’re looking for a sign to get a second opinion this is it- they saved me thousands.
