Our son recently closed on his first home, a condo in North Scottsdale! Of course, we realized up front that the HVAC system was extremely old (as we suspected, it turned out to be the original system that was installed in 2000) and expected to have a new HVAC system installed soon after closing. The compressor was located on the roof, so this necessitated the use of a crane (as this adds to the cost of installation) to remove the old one and hoist up the new one.

Yesterday, I made a few calls to only to 5-Star HVAC companies (including the HVAC company that installed a new HVAC system in our home a few years ago) and one of them was Reliance Heating and Air Conditioning.

I spoke with Daniel from Reliance and he was very professional, knowledgeable and honest. He met me at our son's new condo on the same day that I called, which was yesterday, and shortly thereafter gave me a written estimate. The price quoted was actually better than the quote we received from the HVAC company that installed our home's HVAC a few years ago, so we agreed to move forward.

Installation was set up for the next day (today) and their crew showed up promptly at 8am and completed the installation by about 1:30pm.

The technicians who did the installation were all very professional and thorough. They placed drop cloths throughout our son's condo unit, cleaned up after they were done and made sure the heat and AC were calibrated and working correctly (testing that the temps reached a certain level). They also showed me how the new Ecobee digital thermostat works (so I can show our son later) and of course, provided me with the documentation that outlined the equipment (make, model and serial numbers) and warranties.

My wife and I are extremely happy with Reliance Heating and Air Conditioning, which is why we highly recommend them if you are looking for a reliable and trustworthy HVAC company offering good pricing.

We have had the best experience with Reliance. Over the summer we had our AC go out with a week old newborn at home. They were there within the afternoon and fixed the problem quickly and at a great price. They are trustworthy and reliable. This week they installed a mini split for us and did incredible work. Thank you Daniel, Enrique, and Jose! We got 3 other companies to give us quotes for the mini split and Reliance was by far the best price and best service. Thank you!

Dylan was fantastic! He’s very professional, has a wonderful attention to detail and also so respectful of my home. He took extra care to clean my attic door and did a great job explaining his diagnosis, recommendations and solutions. Dylan from Reliance was polite, professional, and took the time to clearly explain what he was doing as well as recommended ways to improve quality of our unit. The work was completed efficiently and everything was left clean and in great working order. It was a great experience. First, when I made the appointment with Reliance, I mentioned my availability and the worked hard to accommodate my work schedule. Then, the technician Dylan called to give me his current location and the told me when I should expect him. Dylan arrived on time and his skills were amazing. Javier Herrera came and cleaned my air vents and uptake and did an excellent job. He was very professional and took pictures as he went.I will recommend him to anyone.

I have low water pressure at my house. Called it in and Cole R reached out within his scheduled time window and gave me his eta. We met at the house and he was courteous and professional. We discussed the issue in more detail and he began to diagnose the problem. This is a tricky fix and we ran through multiple iterations of what could be happening underground. Cole listens and then acts accordingly. The main water line needs to be replaced and that's a lot of digging and expertise needed to complete the project. I'm glad Cole is the one on the job. He made a bad situation bearable.

I have two one year old 4 ton A/C units from Hayes. Their prices were great and the installation was fantastic. As former military, I strongly believe in maintenance. I regularly conducted pre-maintenance inspections of my previous units which kept them going for 20 years without breaking down. So, when I decided to upgrade, I wanted to choose a company I can count on, not just for installation, but, for regular pre-maintenance inspections (or what civilians refer to as “tune-ups”). Therefore, despite my A/C units being new, I requested a maintenance tech from Hayes to come check them out. However, my first encounter with the tech they sent was odd and lacking any resemblance of how an inspection is to be performed. So, after notifying Hayes, they quickly sent me a different tech to follow-up and do another inspection within a week. I have to say, my new A/C Technician DARELL completely restored my faith in Hays. He communicated all his services prior to work, then showed in depth photos and descriptions of the results. He changed all my filters, washed the outside blowers and coils, went into the attic and tested all connections and collected ample data to ensure my A/C’s were at peak performance. All services which I knew were skipped by the previous tech. DARELL was extremely courteous, professional, and thorough with all of his maintenance inspections and services. I will request DARELL to be my A/C technician for all my future maintenance with Hayes. He is an outstanding employee! Thank you for sending him my way.

Darrell was exceptional!! Did a great job in servicing my three units and very informative in what he was doing.

The appointment was supposed to be between 8 and 10. The technician called at 10:15 to say that he would be here in 10 minutes. No explanation on why nobody could have called me earlier. The technician seemed knowledgeable and thorough, so that was the only good thing. However, he told me that I would be receiving a report showing the summary of the inspection that I never received. I am certainly not going to call the company only to wait on hold for 10-15 minutes again. I won't be using this company again.

Had a cracked pipe in my front yard, I called moon valley and they came out the same day and got the job done. Reymark Buhain showed up and got the job done the same day. Thank you Reymark!!!

Kenny is professional & cares about his craft. Each time he’s come out to my house, he’s been thorough, efficient, & does a great job. He reset my toilet when another plumber failed to get it right, installed my kitchen sink faucet with drains, put a water pressure regulator on the house, & replaced a hot water heater vent. He took pictures of all of his work & made sure I was satisfied with everything when he was finished. I will continue to call Moon Valley Plumbing & Kenny anytime I need something. I trust them & know they’ll take care of me.

I had a water line leakage under concrete in the kitchen. Kenny L came to evaluate and provided professional opinion for a few options. Three days later he returned, excavated floor, located the leaking copper pipe and fixed the leak with a sharkbite connector. Highly recommended.

Had a great experience with plumbing tech Cole Russell. He was honest, straight forward, and very knowledgeable about what needed to be done. I appreciated that he explained it in plain terms, and treated me more like a friend than a customer. I've used Moon Valley in the past for my business, and had a great experience then as well. Those guys know their stuff!

Darrel was amazing. He spent the time necessary and was thorough in diagnosing and repairing our AC unit. A true lifesaver in the hot summer months. He communicated great the entire time and even showed up early! Having dealt with other AC companies, can’t say enough how great Hays has been. Highly recommend Hays and Darrel for quick turnaround and professional service for AC needs.

Nick from Hays Cooling Heating & Plumbing is a rock star! The valves for the hot and cold water on my washer disintegrated when I went to install a new washer. No way to replace on my own, so I asked a plumber I knew (retired) who he recommended. Hays. No question. They arrived on time and with all tools to fix in less than 30 minutes. Amazing. Top notch workmanship, and even tried to save me the emergency fee with a fix over the phone that might have worked, but sadly didn’t in my situation. So glad I called Hays!
