Plumbing reviews in Phoenix, Arizona

We have used them several times now and have never been disappointed. Jim and John are great and explain what they are doing. Sharon in the office is always friendly and takes the time to answer questions.

Jon came out and cleared the drain in my kitchen and in a bathroom. The bathroom was challenging because of the space to work in. I am very impressed with his professionalism, punctuality, attitude, and the quality of his work. Jon was recommended by a neighbor that was equally happy with his work.

I called in the morning and the wonderful lady in the office (who's name I regrettably forget) did her utmost and managed to get a plumber out to me that very same afternoon!!!
I was extremely impressed AND thankful!!
I unfortunately had picked up the wrong part, so he could not attempt the repair. They did NOT charge me and advised me of the correct part to buy and said they would come back.
Wonderful service! I shall be using them now I have the correct part!
A great local company! -
Without fail, John has been taking care of all our plumbing and drain backups. Our home was built in 1950 so the old pipes and drains need a lot of tender loving care. We appreciate CLW attentiveness to our special needs!

Jon is a plumber with CLW, and he is honest, knowledgeable, and kind. CLW's prices are quite reasonable. The job required a portion of brick wall be removed, drain pipe replaced, snaking, and high pressure flush. Using a camera it was determined the high pressure flush wasn't necessary, saving money. Jon could have easily done the high pressure flush, as I had already agreed to having it done. Instead, he chose to be honest, which now makes CLW my go-to plumber.

Amazing service!!!! They are honest, knowledgable, reasonable and the work was excellent. We’ve used their services many times and never been disappointed. We had two major issues we discovered two days after Christmas. Jim, the owner, responded to our call within an hour and began working on the problem, finishing up the following day.
I would highly recommend CLW Plumbing if you have any plumbing problem. -
We have used CLW Plumbing for almost ten years now. Normally I am hesitant to do online reviews. But that is not the case with CLW. Originally, most of the service we received was done by owner, Jim Wheat. Over the last few years as they have grown, we have had different plumbers from CLW do the work. Quality is still the same, however, top notch! We would definitely recommend them to our neighbors and friends.

Located CLW from the BBB website. We contacted 3 businesses for estimates. We needed the main shut off valve replaced and sent pictures of the job. CLW tied for the lower estimate and for no particular reason we went with them. Both my husband and I were impressed with Jon Luna. He arrived when he said he would. Not only was he fast, but heck of a nice guy. Also, we were charged what they quoted us. I will definitely use them again.

We have used CLW plumbing for several years... I think maybe 10. They have installed a hot water heater in our previous home. They installed a gas line to create the ability to have a gas stove and so much more.
They are friendly - professional - reasonalby priced and just down right nice people!!!
They are a joy to deal with from Jim , the owner, to the office personnel.
CLW plumbing is the ONLY plumbing company I will use!!! -
Had an older shower panel that leaked water and wouldn't shut off. After quick removal and evaluation Jon stated it was a not a name brand unit where replacement parts could be readily obtained. I expected that and purchased a panel from a different manufucturer. Jon returned a few days later and installed. New unit works far better - I think even Jon was impressed with it. Great communication from everyone lining up both appt's. He hauled away old unit for me, cleaned up area. Work done professionally and reasonable pricing. Nicely done!

The first time I used CLW Plumbing was for a leak from the gas shut off to my fireplace. The gas company found a leak and shut off the gas to the condo (and the building) until someone could come out to fix it. Talk about panic! I contacted CLW and Jim Wheat, the owner, came out. He assessed the problem, for my fireplace and the others in the building. He repaired the problem in short order at a very reasonable cost to the owners. The gas company came back out, tested the fireplaces and gave all of us clearance to turn the gas back on to the building. What a great job he did for all of us!!
About 6 months later, my water heater went out. I spoke with Jim. He sent out an employee to replace it. Adrian could not have been better. Professional, timely and affable. Did a terrific job and did it quickly. Way better than the last company I used. I have used enough "contractors" over time to know this is one company you want in your contact list. Thank you CLW !!! -
We just had CLW out to the house to replace a water heater. This is the third time we have worked with them. Twice now the owner gym has come out when the rest of the staff was busy to make sure our plumbing emergency didn’t get any worse and fix the problem at hand Jim and his son Wes worked until 8 PM to complete the installation. The housing for a water heater was custom built for the old unit they had to make alterations to the housing and I was very impressed with the work they did! This was all done for the price they quoted me upfront in the timeframe they promised. There have been no surprises with any of the jobs done by CLW. I now feel confident that any issues that arise will be handled by professionals. Lastly, it is great to be able to work with a real family business. The craftsmanship is obvious in their work! Would certainly recommend!

CLW has come to our home a handful of times for various projects, and I am always impressed with their professionalism and workmanship. They've installed a hot water recirculating pump, water heater, pressure regulator, and even did the gas line to a BBQ (no more propane tanks for me!). Jon has come out for most of those projects, and is always a pleasure to work with. It's nice to know that if I have a plumbing emergency, I won't have to worry about calling around to different plumbers and potentially being ripped off...I can call CLW and get good service at a good price!

I rarely take the time to write reviews, but I am so impressed with this company, I need to share my experience. I had a slow-draining kitchen sink and called a plumber that I used once before. He ended up creating a solid plug when he cabled the drain, so I then had a sink that didn't drain at all! He told me there was nothing else he could do and suggested I call the big plumbing company (the one with the big advertising budget). They sent a "drain expert" out the same day, who also ran a cable without clearing the drain. His solution was to cut out a section of brick on the outside of our older home to create a clean-out (thousands of dollars). He also wanted to replace all the pipes under the sink ($600), which had nothing to do with the problem.
A friend recommended CLW plumbing, so I gave them a call. Jon came out and said they had probably used the wrong type of cable. Within minutes he had the drain cleared, but continued cabling to clear out more of the sludge that had created the plug.
He went above and beyond a simple drain clearing.
I was so grateful to have found this company, and Jon. He was honest, efficient, professional, and delivered the highest quality of service. I have recommended CLW to my friends and will continue to use them when any plumbing need arises. -
I call them for all my plumbing needs, they are honest and affordable. They put in my water heater and I haven’t been getting hot water lately, so just called them and they’ll be here in 15 minutes. Great company. Highly recommended

I've used CLW for probably as long as they've been in business. A long time. They are always timely, professional, knowledgeable, deliver what they promise and responsive. They work with you on delivery the best price. I have used them personally and professionally for my homeowner association management business. Everyone loves the office staff, Sharon, and all the techs they have. In this most recent case it was Adrian. left the key for him and very trustworthy. The owner, Jim, is wonderful!

Never Again - Grossly Overpriced and Unreasonable
I had an extremely disappointing experience with this plumbing company and cannot recommend them.
The Issue:
Google estimates $100 - $350 for this job. Seeing as this was a very simple repair I expected to be charged appropriately. I was charged $420 for replacing two shower valves—a job that took the plumber approximately 20 minutes of actual hands-on work. The parts themselves cost around $40, meaning I paid $380 for less than half an hour of labor. (Even if the parts were marked up 100% that would put the parts at $80 and the labor at $340.)
When I Questioned the Cost:
I called the owner, Jim, to understand the pricing structure and asked about his hourly rate. His response? He doesn't work on an hourly rate. When pressed to explain how he arrived at $420, he couldn't provide a clear answer or breakdown. It's hard to believe that $420 was simply a fair, calculated price rather than an arbitrary number picked to maximize profit from an unsuspecting customer.
The Bottom Line:
This wasn't just expensive—it was exploitative pricing for a straightforward repair. Any reputable plumber should be able to clearly explain their pricing methodology, whether it's hourly, flat-rate, or based on a pricing guide. The refusal to justify a $420 charge for 20 minutes of work is a red flag.
My Recommendation:
Save yourself the money and frustration. There are plenty of honest, fairly-priced plumbers in the area who value transparency and won't take advantage of homeowners. This isn't one of them. -
CLW was highly recommended from a trusted friend. Jim came out the next day. He replaced a garbage disposal, basket and pipe under sink, adjusted low water pressure throughout the house, and assess the hot water heater. He found there was no power to the pump above the water heater which could be causing the slow time to get hot water to showers. He suggested we get that fixed to see if the pump still works. We were very appreciative that he did not automatically change the pump or suggest a new water heater without being extremely thorough in checking every possibility first. We may or may not need to replace it. He is honest and charged us a very competitive and reasonable fee for the service.

Jim’s communication and Adrian is always so professional clear and kind in delivering service. These guys are nonstop busy so don’t wait till the last min if you’re looking my for quality support and service!

CLW Plumbing was recommended to our grand daughter. She was pleased with their service so she recommended them to us. I called to schedule an appointment and my call was promptly returned. The work was scheduled for the following day. Adrian arrived at the scheduled time. I described what I thought the problem was. He checked everything out and said we needed a new toilet ring installed. He gave me the price before starting work and also told me how long it would take. He explained what he was doing and also answered a few of my plumbing questions on other topics. Adrian's time estimate was almost to the minute. The price was very reasonable. Adrian did a thorough job and kept the work area clean. I'm very happy with Adrian's service and would definitely use CLW Plumbing for my plumbing needs.
