Constraction reviews in Scottsdale, Arizona

What a difference! Had one problem after another with our pool equipment. Our regular guys couldn’t figure out any of it. Got fed up and called Aquaman. Mike came out. Couldn’t be nicer. Or work harder. With Edward’s help he fixed all the neglected problems. Dug up and repaired the leaky valves, got the controls working, found the broken equipment our previous guys could never get around to. So happy we switched.

You will call in, an automated system asks you to press 1 for new service, 2 for something else. You will wait for 5 minutes on hold. I know this as I have called multiple times. You will get a dopey girl late teens maybe early 20's that sounds confused in that valley girl-esque, like huh? They will question what your asking because they didn't listen in the first place. Then when you question why they are questioning a simple question.... they will hang up on you.

The entire Aquaman Pools team was great to work with! I bought a house that had really (really) old, underpowered equipment that needed to be replaced. Ruben did an amazing job on the installation and took extra time to show me how everything worked. He also gave me some ideas for the future that made a lot of sense. Thank you, Chad, Ruben, and Scott!! Quincy has been awesome on the service side! My pup loves to see him every week too!

This company is by far the worst that I have ever dealt with. For anything. I have an infinity edge pool so it has a back trough with an edge pump to circulate the water. Apparently they have no idea how to handle this, and the person sent out each week never bothered to clean it. I have had a dirty, filthy pool for 7 weeks now. They charged me for more chemicals and came out to change the pump filter, but ignored my simple request to clean the trough! That’s all they had to do. I emailed Brooke many times about it, then we even told the guy who comes out about it, and they still would not clean it!!! At this point, they have stopped responding to me and I can’t get a hold of anyone. Left messages for Amber too, no call back.
I can only speak to the people that I dealt with here, but my weekly service person had no idea what he was doing. He said that he uses YouTube to troubleshoot…….that can’t be good. On top of that, during this time, our pool heater went out. I waited almost 6 weeks for a part to be ordered, which I told them that I would purchase myself and have it here in 3 days. But no, I continued to get the same old “no eta on your part sir”. I hope that this review stops someone from dealing with what I did. I feel cheated by all the money I paid them, and basically got nothing in return. -
Left my past pool service because we have a big ficus tree and they constantly said I needed to cut the tree down because it was throwing off our pools chemicals, just nothing but drama and extra charges. Reached out to aquaman nervous and stressed I was being a bad pool owner, on a Saturday to add. They were at my house on Monday regulated my pool and have been amazing, fair priced and the pool hasn’t been clearer. Such a relief to have them take care of me and will be a loyal customer. Highly highly recommend.

Reached out to get a quote to wire a new pump and adjust the plumbing on 10/28/2025. Spoke to a man named Josh who requested I take photos so he can send me a preliminary quote. He texted me with the number, I sent him photos and a description of what I needed done as requested but never heard anything back. He said he I would hear back same day with a quote. I wasn’t gonna beg, there are plenty of pool companies in AZ. If you don’t care about my business, then you won’t get it but just don’t waste my time in the process. If you’re looking for a pool company just call someone else.

We hired Aquaman Pools to convert our swimming pool to use saltwater. But we wanted them to drain our pool and clean the tile first. When they cleaned the tile, they used glass bead blasting and never cleaned all of it up on the bottom before we refilled the pool. We asked them to come back out to fix the parts that weren’t thoroughly cleaned and they came back and poured a solution onto the tile that ruined the Pebble Tec.
Thomas, the Operations Manager, kept telling my husband he’d be out to come take a look (each time we waited around for a few hours). I finally called him the morning after the second time he stood us up with no notice and he completely lied about his conversation with my husband and was nothing but condescending towards me. Then, when my husband called him back and asked who was his boss, Thomas essentially said he was in charge and hung up on him. We sent emails to their office administrator telling her we didn’t Thomas to contact us anymore and she said she’d immediately have the owner, Chad, call us. He never even called! Thomas had the audacity to call us back to ask if we wanted to continue service!
Aquaman Pools is rude towards women, they are incompetent, don’t take responsibility and have no respect for their customers. We have thousands of dollars in repairs that need to be done and when we do, we’ll also have to drain and refill the pool AGAIN which is already time consuming, a pain and costly. -
I have used Aquaman Pools for several years and have referred friends and family to them. They have always been professional and provide excellent service. Their Office Manager, Amber Cassidy, is very knowledgeable and gets you connected to the right person to assist with your pools needs in a very fast and efficient manner. Keep up the great work!
Seriously I wish we could post before and after shots because the pool was full of debris from the storm, there was silt and dirt everywhere on the bottom and on the steps... granted we have been out there doing some manual stuff but with the new variable speed pump running it’s a huge night and day difference in like no time!! Thank you Boss, you rock it and Aquaman Pools always delivers!

I started doing business with this company 2 years ago.
Their quality of service and responsiveness has deteriorated. I emptied my pool and had them do an acid wash and calcium removal on 6/5/23. The pool was refilled and ready for weekly service again on 6/9.
Nobody showed up on 6/9, 6/16 or 6/23 after weekly calls and assurances from their office that I would have my weekly service. I paid $1,559.50 for the acid wash and June billing for weekly service. I finally spoke to Terry, who works in the office, on Monday 6/26 and explained what was going on. He told me I would get credited for June service, which I haven’t seen yet. He sent Ted out on 6/27. Ted stated that algae was forming so he added chemicals and there would be a follow up.
There was no follow up and no weekly service on 6/30.
On July 9th I saw the walls of the pool were yellow. I called Scott, from a different pool company and he came over immediately. After surveying the problem he saw that the proper chemicals were never added and the filter was filthy (pic attached). $750 later, my pool is sparkling again. All Aquaman is concerned with is quantity of customers, not quality and pride in their work. IT SHOULD BE ZERO STARS FOR THIS COMPANY. -
Not that happy with the service. The pool has never been brushed and when personally brushed it , it was grimy . There is constantly bird droppings on the ledge that is never washed away or brushed and they haven never thought to service the hottub next to the pool . Looking for alternatives . If any of these are not included with service, then why is the price so high. What am I paying for.

Wow, best pool service ever. I get a detailed report with every cleaning, text amd emails, quick to respond to my call. Ted came out and recommended a different filter, we switched from sand to cartridge and Holy cow! Amazing!!! My water I'd perfection! Check out before and after pics. Highly recommend!

They serviced us for a couple of years and while they started off great, they appear to have been bought out at some point (presumably by private equity) and things went downhill fast. Every month they were finding some way to charge us for something. Most recently they said we needed our pool drained but could not locate the spout for the water even though they had drained it previously and a different company found the spout in minutes. We canceled recently and I would be wary of them going forward. It is too bad because when they started they were generally fine.
Edited: Not sure why companies do this "We do not have a record of you," but this company certainly knew how to bill us for more than two years and we were definitely a customer. -
I had one of the most dishonest and frustrating experiences imaginable with Aquaman Pools. After spending over $30,000 on a brand-new pool and equipment and another $7,000+ on their services, they turned what should have been a simple setup into an expensive disaster within just two months.
They started by claiming my salt cell was “bad” and pushed a nearly $2,000 replacement. Multiple technicians — including their own — later admitted there was absolutely nothing wrong with it. This felt like a straight upsell, not an honest diagnosis.
Then they insisted my salt level was “too high” and charged me $800 for a drain and acid wash. Not only was the job never done when promised, but they later tried to excuse it by saying they “couldn’t find the sewer drain.” They still charged me anyway until I physically walked outside and showed their techs exactly where it was.
It didn’t stop there. They then blamed rain for supposedly “damaging” the actuator and hit me with another $1,600 bill to replace it. After all this unnecessary work, the pool still didn’t run correctly.
I finally called Pentair directly, and they immediately discovered what Aquaman never bothered to check:
the salt cell was never installed correctly, never synced, and the original problems were caused by their workmanship — not broken equipment.
I hired another pool company afterward, and they confirmed nothing Aquaman recommended or charged me for was needed. Let that sink in: thousands of dollars in wrong or unnecessary work.
Based on my experience, Aquaman Pools operates with misdiagnosis, upselling, carelessness, and zero accountability. I strongly warn homeowners to stay far away from this company. -
Bought our home in Carefree last May. Needed major remodeling of the pool and deck. The nightmare began quickly. Like the wild west. The majority of suppliers I contacted never showed up for the estimate appointments and of those that did the majority never got back with the quotes!! What??? My trust level of this industry was rock bottom.
Then I found Aquaman and Greg Anderson. What a relief. Greg was accessible, and accountable every step of the way. He was really committed to the project and went way above and beyond. Great guy!
The job was started and finished on time and looks beautiful!!
So happy with everything. If you call Aquaman for a remodel, insist on Greg Anderson. You won't be disappointed -
Awful company.
Spent 23K to have my pool redone with all new equipment, and a Jandy remote Aqualink.
Maybe I go 3 weeks at most without issues.
It’s always some problem with the new filters, or the aqualink.
Get pool serviced every week, and I have a salt water pool.
It constantly turns green, because the salt new system isn’t functioning or the chlorine doesn’t last a week.
I have infinity edge pool and the overflow is never cleaned.
I have given this company numerous chances to fix, and maintain.
We started all the new equipment, from scratch emptied pool and did a chlorine wash.
I’m finally changing pool companies, lost the entire summer after pouring money into my pool.
The pool was “ cleaned” 6 days ago! -
Michael was very nice to work with along with his assistant Roger...They did windows, carpet, tile and granite for me...all done within 3 1/2 hours and everything looks great. Very reasonable and trustworthy. Will recommend them to all of my family, friends, clients, and Realtor associates. Darlene D

Michael Morrow and Anthony of Stone Care of Arizona did an excellent job of cleaning, buffing and color sealing my honed marble floors and granite kitchen countertops. The first color they used on the grout color sealing process was a little too dark even after it dried, and Michael refused to take my money until I was happy with it. He and Anthony came back and redid all the grout in a lighter color for no extra charge. Very professional, ethical and nice people focused on client satisfaction. I HIGHLY recommend them!

I did not use Stonecare Of AZ, personally. However Michael and Leslie, came to Carson City Nevada to teach IICRC Certification Courses at our company. I took 3, including, Stone and Masonry. We went to one of our local accounts, and Michael taught his techniques at a tile cleaning job we had scheduled. The results he helped us achieve were phenomenal! He is an amazing instructor, that can back up the knowledge with hands on technique. I strongly recommend them to anybody! If you are a competitor, I would highly recommend you take a course with Michael and Leslie! They are salt of the earth, and truly amazing human beings. I am blessed to have gotten to spend a week with them!

Michael came and cleaned my tile and grout and it looks amazing. He also cleaned my carpet, so I have a very clean entrance way and like new carpet for Christmas, pretty awesome for an 18 year old house. Michael is very professional, caring and timely. he also gave me a free gift for being a great customer. Excellent work, free gift from a superb professional; it doesn't get any better than that!!!

Mike and Michael did an excellent job of deep cleaning and sealing a white pebble wall in a high traffic area of our hotel that had begun to show how often it gets touched by guests. They worked exceptionally fast, and made sure that their work didn't impact our day to day business of the hotel. We highly recommend them, and their exceptional review scores show that their other customers feel the same. Thank you!

Just had Stone Care of AZ clean our Travertine tile flooring and granite countertops. Zak and Mike did an OUTSTANDING JOB! They went to work and even moved all my furniture with care and never missed a beat. I rarely do reviews but I was so impressed with their professionalism and attention to detail. I will be keeping their phone number handy for sure.
