Aqua Blue handles 2 pool for us. The pool techs are prompt, friendly and responsible. The office staff has good communication and billing is a breeze. Great company

I would recommend Aqua Blue to take care of your pool. We have used them at our houses in Paradise Valley and Scottsdale. They are thorough, deliver a weekly report so you know exactly what is going on. At the hint of an issue, they identify it and check it. Fix it without issue. Highly communicative and reliable. They are the best I have ever had in 10
Years of owning pools and spas. -
Recently started with Aqua Blue and I am incredibly impressed. First off their pool/spa knowledge is off the charts. Secondly they are always on time and their communication both from the techs and the office has been amazing. Lastly, and most importantly, they are just nice people! Thanks to Steven, Nick and Tara. Y'all are fantastic.

6 months using this company. The technician often leaves the waste next to pump. Slaps basket on plumbing pipes leaving without cleaning. Filter cleans are very quick and not very thorough. Hired another company to do repairs right after a filter clean. Filters not rinsed completely just slightly. Left after weekly and pump was running without prime. Technician shut pool cleaner value off starving water to variable pump. Customer service is non responsive.

Avoid.
Switched to Aqua blue pools because my previous servicer raised his prices significantly due to the chemical shortage.
They came and evaluated the pool. Seemed like an honest bunch.
The whole month of June that they serviced our pool it was essentially green (maybe a few days of "aqua" blue) and there was algae on the walls even within a day after the pool was serviced. Had them come back several times to address this (which they did - and to their credit they were responsive).
But at the end of the month they charged us way more than initially quoted and more than the previous servicer had increased his price too --- a major part of the reason? Because they charged me for chemicals to kill the algae that they never took care of in the first place. At least the previous servicer had kept the pool blue. Not to mention they kept asking me to replace different parts of the pool -- to charge even more.
The icing on the cake? They came to my pool one more time to clean up their mess and "service" my pool the following month. Pool was still green after the guy left. And then they charged me 63.50 for one 10 minute maintenance session. It was supposed to be 27.50 per session + a surcharge of 10$ for chemicals. They charged me another 26$ for algaecide. I finally just paid it bc they clearly won’t accept responsibility for their poor quality work.
Bottom line, I ended up learning how to maintain my own pool. Not only is it much cheaper, but my pool has never been bluer and cleaner. Also, everything is working fine. So who knows why they were trying to charge me extra to replace things.
So if you're looking for motivation to learn how to clean your own pool or just like wasting money, hire these guys -
At last the sun is back and my spa is ready for the cooler evenings, thanks to the team at Aqua Blue. After that nasty storm that lifted the cover and left its dusty mess behind, I needed help and Aqua Blue gave me a plan which returned the spa to its old sparkle! Thank you! DrO

Aqua Blue has been taking care of pool for nearly 5 years now. They are incredibly reliable! My weekly tech is always on schedule and today, Nick came out for a service call. Fixed the problem quickly and called me with all the details. I’m very happy with their service!

If you are looking for an outstanding pool service, choose Aquaman, the customer service I recieved from Amber was amazing, she worked with me to get my price negotiated to get my pump and motor replaced. I requested 4 estimates from different companies and Aquaman beat them all and had a longer parts and labor warranty. Amber jumped through numerous hoops to ensure we had a pleasant and affordable experience. Not to mention they do a phenomenal job servicing my pool. I

[2023 Edit: They lose stars for bad warranty on automatic filler and what is worse for deck resurface workmanship. Had at one of the pools acrylic resurface done on the deck, but their contractor did not bother or was not qualified to tell us, after stripping the old surface, that the concrete underneath is not suitable for new acrylic resurface and that we should chose something else. After 3 years years, the surface started popping up and now after another 2, needs complete redone. Of course we tried to solve the issue with them and they sent the same contractor to tell us finally that the concrete underneath is not good enough for acrylic. Why wouldn’t they tell us from beginning and make us waste time and money I don’t know. For the auto filler they purchased bad quality units from whatever vendor they used. Of course they did not warrant the unit and we hat to hire another contractor to cut the deck again and reinstall another auto filler. Why would they not warrant something that should last a decade?
Anyway, the pool resurface still holds well so at least it seems that is good so far. For deck resurface I would use another company.
Also make sure you have in writing from them the warranty for each work done. Pool resurface/deck resurface and auto-filler should be items that last 10+ years if proper maintained. Luckily we made the mistake of redoing the deck at only one of the pools as at the other one it was still in good condition after 30 plus years (I guess the old cool deck was better quality than the stuff they use now)]
Old review:
Had one pool resurfaced in 2017 with pebbles. Turned out great and the cost was the most competitive. After 2 years, no issues. The sales person Greg was very helpful and responsive and accommodating my requests. Based on that experience we had a second pool done in 2018. Again best prices and Greg was responsive and accommodating our requests. They lose one star as on second job the individual who was the project manager was not meeting expectations. Luckily Greg was there to pick up the other person’s slack. That project manager is not there anymore. Pool turned out great. I will use them again when my mom’s pool starts chipping. Side note, consider adding few bags of glass pebbles to your mix. Makes a lot of difference for relatively small investment. -
They moved us to the VIP program. No one ever answers the phone, and the service they use is offshore and hard to understand. Tech said we had a leak. Have to send out a repair person for $150 just to say, yea you need a new pool pump!! After I said I would get the work done somewhere else, they offered to knock off a couple hundred bucks. They are now part of a HUGE national corporate and it shows. Go locally owned.

This service is amazing. The pool always looks so perfect after they clean it. What I like the best is the report they send after each cleaning. The report includes key pool parameters and an imagine of the pool after their service. With two little kids, it is comforting to known they are getting into a super clean pool every single time. I absolutely trust Aquaman Pools. Finally, they have great customer service. I receive a response from reps like Kirsten P. within just a few hours, of course depending on when I contact her. Overall, this is a great company!

Least honest and reliable pool company I've ever worked with. They charge hundreds of dollars in a single visit for standard commodity chemicals. As soon as we hired them they came up with thousands of dollars of repair needs. And despite their advertised rate of ~$150/mo for pool maintenance, they cost me an average of $550/mo in 2023. Do not use them. Not only that, my tenants would constantly complain that the service people didn't bring chlorine tabs with them (despite being charged for it) and that the pool was not in good order.

I have used these guys for years after they bought Brother’s Pool Service, who I had originally contracted with. Over the years the service has been spotty at best and increasingly more expensive. I had tried to replace them a couple of times but finding someone during the Covid stuff was hard, but I finally reached my limit when the gave me a ridiculous quote on a very easy equipment repair. I fired them by email and by phone after declining their quote and they still sent a guy out to do the work! I’m past done with these guys. Do yourself a favor and find a different pool service company.

I started doing business with Auqaman Pools 3 years ago, they were a premium price compared to other pool services I have had, but seemed worth it. The first year, they were great, had one person that regularly cleaned my pool, sent a weekly email as to the condition of my pool, and life was great. The past year, there has been multiple people cleaning my pool, they let it turned green as a pond this summer, then had to run my pump while it was 115 outside and burnt up a perfectly good pool pump, then charged me $3000 to replace it and after I agreed to the quote they wanted $2500 for an electrician to install it. They are very expensive, do not follow up with any longer with the weekly visit info, and charge sporadic fees for chemicals and don't send you an invoice that shows what you pay. They would not make it right this summer when they let my pool turn green, caused my pump to run for 10 days straight and burnt it up, they are liable, but wouldn't accept any liability. DO NOT USE

Recently started pool service with Aquaman after 8 years of dealing with flaky unreliable pool cleaners! We could not be happier! They are by far the best! The level of professionalism, communication and service are amazing! If you have struggled with your pool I can not more highly recommend Aquaman!
-
Very bad service. Left the surface of the pool dirty, overcharged for chemicals and claimed that none of the pool equipment worked attempting to charge several thousands of dollars for replacements. Company agreed that their own report showed ghat they left the pool not clean

I have bought a new house with a pool and a spa, having come from a house with a pool many years prior, I was nervous about who could help me service my new purchase? I took a chance on Aquaman Pools, and I can say it was a very positive experience. Anyone who has a pool will tell you they can be difficult to manage, and have a trustworthy team on your side is comforting. I needed a pool drain, I wanted an acid etching of the internal surfaces, and some additional chemicals. Rodney was a super nice guy, and showed up on time and ready to work. If you’re nervous about who you can trust, I’d recommend you give Aquaman Pools a call.

Been working with Scott Sucharew and Aquaman Pools. The filter on pool was leaking and a new Cartridge Filter was installed by Aquaman. Although it was done just yesterday, it appears to be done properly and professionally.
-
they charged a lot and used too much chemical in the pool(but no evidence)
I don't recommand this company
they did service without my permit and send me a bill
I replaced new filter in March but they send me a bill in July for new filter
I was complaing about that
they said they won't change
they are not honest at all
be careful this company -
In April 2023, we engaged Aquaman Pools LLC of Scottsdale, AZ, to perform routine maintenance of our residential pool during our vacation absence of one month. Our initial experience with them was positive. They were responsive and professional, sending out a technician to evaluate our pool and provide a quotation, and we posted a positive review to that effect. However, their subsequent performance in actually maintaining our pool was questionable at best. Two specifics: (1) An improper backwash operation was performed on the DE filter, leaving sludge in the bottom of the filter several inches deep; (2) The main circulating pump failed. Aquaman recommended a pump replacement at a cost of $2700, with no alternative offered. We declined their recommendation and upon our return had the pump repaired at a cost of about $60. We also had to perform a proper backwash to return the system to satisfactory operation. We discussed these items with Aquaman management and, to their credit, they offered to reimburse us the cost of the improper backwash. In conclusion, we question the competence of their service technicians. We also question their business practices that seem to aggressively pursue costly upgrades and/or repairs at the customer’s expense. We do not intend to use their services in the future.
