Karl is the best. He is so fair and so busy, but definitely worth it. He does honest work in today's day and I truly respect his insight and professionalism. He is so consistent and has been for the past few years I've worked with him. I know my unit is getting old but he does a great job of explaining the potential futures costs. I've been needing to replace my unit for years but he keeps it running. Will definitely be using him for that project.

I needed a second opinion for a repair of my American Standard A/C unit. I had heard good things about Karl and gave him a call. Even though he was very busy, he worked me into his schedule well ahead of my expectations. Karl was prompt and on time. Karl did a full evaluation of my A/C unit and recommended a repair. Karl came equipped with all the necessary equipment, parts and technical data to complete the job professionally. It was obvious that Karl really knew his stuff. I'm all about doing the job right which is right inline with how Karl does business. Karl's price for the repair was very competitive. I would highly recommend Karl Meyer Air Conditioning & Heating.

After 2 months of researching products and having 7 companies to our property for estimates, we found Karl Meyer Heating & A/C through a friend. We found Karl to be extremely knowledgeable not only in the labor but on the products themselves and without coming off as a pompous know it all. When we saw his proposal with a price that could not be beat, we immediately hired him! Absolutely no regrets! Karl was friendly, courteous, polite and professional. He was on time for both the estimate and installation, showed quality craftsmanship, takes pride in his work and cleaned up well after the job was complete. At no time did he ever try to upsell us as many companies do. He provided us with exactly what we needed. Our overall experience with Karl is nothing short of outstanding!! Karl is perhaps the most knowledgable and honorable AC/Heating professional you'll ever come across. He's supported our systems for at least 10 years now and has always provided practical solutions to each problem. My latest issue was our main 5-ton system struggling to keep temps down during our cooker months in the summer. We had a leak in the coolant line that he addressed and got the charge back to normal. The system was 16 years old, however, so while his fix got me through the summer season, he made a plan to replace my system during the winter, which we just did. The price was excellent and his confidence with taking the approach we chose helped make us feel well taken care of. He's the best!

Karl’s work is impeccable! He recently had to replace my entire air/furnace and he did a fantastic job. What impressed me the most was his honesty, friendliness and knowledge of what I needed and didn’t pressure me into any decisions. I would recommend Karl to anyone needing maintenance, service or replacement. I have already shared his name with friends that are in need of service!

He took what seemed like 15 seconds to look at our AC and told us without hesitation that we needed a new unit. He disconnected everything and just left it like that. He also told us the freon was almost impossible to get for an AC unit that old (17 years). I asked him if they financed new units. He said no, but we take credit cards. He charged us $120 for that little piece of information and his quick diagnosis. So I called another company for a second opinion. They came out the very next day. The tech had to spend extra time reconnecting everything before he could even assess the problem. Well, long story short - we DID NOT need a new AC unit. And the freon was NOT difficult to get. The guy had it right there in his truck. He found a leak in the valve stems and replaced those. Then he refilled the freon which was low, and boom - he had our AC back up and running. I feel sorry for the people who might believe the first person that comes along and end up spending $10,000 or more for new AC. Always get a second or third opinion!

Living out of state makes me worry about my senior parents when people like the owner of this business try to take advantage of them. Less than fifteen minutes into the service call, he proudly told them that they needed a new, $10,000 unit. He also told them that they needed specific refrigerant, but they're unit was so old that it would be impossible to find. I have my Universal EPA 608 certification, and I can confidently tell you that his statement was an OUTRIGHT LIE. I am SO relieved that they decided to get a second opinion, because the next tech was competent, efficient, had a well stocked vehicle, and most importantly, he was honest. He found a leak, fixed it, and recharged their system with the "impossible to find" refrigerant that just happened to magically be in good stock in the back of his vehicle. Also, the new tech found that Karl had left everything undone on the HVAC unit when he left the call, even the power! So, my parents also had to pay the new tech to put back what Karl had left disassembled. He did all of the repairs for $675, yet Karl wanted $10k... For someone who supposedly has 45 years of experience to "miss" something so simple as a valve leak, they either have to be incompetent or dishonest. Neither is a good look for an HVAC company owner.
I also noticed that the vast majority of the five star reviews for this business are about how well Karl installed the new unit he sold them. After the way he tried to hustle my parents, I have to wonder if maybe some of those five star replacements weren't really necessary...

Do better, Karl.

Honest as the day is long, Karl is a rare find. He’s been in the business a long time, is very knowledgeable, won’t try to upcharge you like the big companies do, and values his customers. His pricing is fair and you get high quality work.

Jeremy with Ice Cold Air was great. He was able to show up on time and fixed or Air Conditioning at a very reasonable price.

The guys here are responsive, honest and gave me the best price for a great unit. I've used them for a service call as well and they always do a great inspection and make sure everything is going as it should. Can not recommend enough.

This is a few years past due, but I want to make sure people choose Ice Cold Air. They have gone above and beyond what I would call good service. There was an issue almost exactly one year after installation and it had to do with a faulty part in a York AC Unit. They got York to come and inspect it and Ice Cold Air got the part replaced immediately (less than 24 hours). All this didn't cost me a dime. I'm on year number 2 of my York and I am very happy with it and yea, It's blowing Ice Cold Air.

Listen up folks! In a veritable SEA of "Me too!" HVAC companies in Arizona, the team from Ice Cold Air is by FAR the most trustworthy company I've encountered!
During a recent heat wave, we had a problem with one of my a/c's that's only 3 years old. Ice Cold Air was booked day & night for three next few days, so I called & called around until Penguin Air could come out that same day. The tech, Nathan shows up, seemingly NOT in a very good mood. (Somewhat understandable, being that it was 166°, HUMID out, & he was likely being worked like an Ox.) I was on the phone & when I said "How's it going!" His response was "It's going". My wife said he was nice though. He did his testing & determined that my compressor was shot, that it had been overfilled when installed & was going to cost me THOUSANDS of dollars in labor alone to repair. (The parts were still under warranty.) I called & spoke with Jeremy at ICA, then proceeded to put him on the phone with the Penguin Air tech. The conversation newtween them was "entertaining" to say the least!
Long story....still long, I decided to pay the $69 fee, & wait it out until Robert from Ice Cold Air came out. (We still had 1 operational unit, so we were ok.) Robert tested & diagnosed the problem to be precisely what Jeremy suspected & debated with the Penguin Air rep about.
A short time & less than $300 (NOT the $3,000+ that Penguin Air wanted to fix a problem that WASN'T the problem.) we were chilling like Penguins! (Punn INTENDED!)
Do I recommended Ice Cold Air? Abso-freakin-lutely!!!

I received them as a recommendation from a friend of mine, and after calling around to a few different places they were the best price and had the quickest availability. They were punctual and quick, came by to ensure everything was installed correctly. The actual folks who installed were a little stand-offish but working with Jeremy was easy and he was very flexible.

If you are looking for an amazing company with unbelievable fair pricing- honest work- and pride in what they do- look no further! Jeremy and his people are just amazing to deal with. Horrible person. Took total advantage and never worked correctly. Strongly advise to look elsewhere. I wonder if the 4-5 star reviews are friends and family.

Purchased a brand new "Day & Night" unit from this man 2 years ago for over $5,000. As soon as it was installed there were issues with it. Within the first week the temperature inside the home was never reaching the set temperature so the unit was continuously running and the electric bill was worse off with this than my old unit. He blamed the home, the heat, even the walls...not his unit. He literally said that the temperature was marking 83 degrees on the thermostat because of the temperature in the walls, despite having the AC unit set on 76 degrees.

Every year there has been something new, last year the compressor was replaced, this year the blower was replaced.

Jeremy Pratt is a Rat! He is great at selling you a unit but is horrible once you have issues he doesn't take ownership and blames everyone! He is bad business. I'd never use him and never recommend him to anyone! Steer clear of this guy!

Jeremy Pratt enthusiastically sold us a York unit about 4 years ago. Every summer since, we’ve had issues and now when we call him he’s NEVER available. If I call from a different # he’ll answer promptly. Otherwise he lets the call go to voicemail and requests that you text him and once you do text him, he follows up with “he’s too busy and to call around and locate an A/C guy that works on York”. What good is ‘a warranty on parts for 10 years’ if we can’t even find a contractor that works on that brand? CONFIDENCE TRICKSTER is what comes to mind….oh and don’t give me started on the cheap thermostat he sold us. On a positive note, he’s very polite and prompt when it comes to selling you a new unit.

Jeremy and his crew are very fair, reasonable, and prompt. Fair pricing and he is a straight shooter and patient with customer questions. Honest salesman and a joy to work with. I am a long time customer and keep coming back for all my Mesa and Phoenix metro area AC needs, repair, and preventative maintenance.

Ice Cold Air's crew showed up right on time even with the long commute to get to our home. The crew got to work right away. I observed almost all of the removal and install of our HVAC system keeping my distance of course. When I had any questions they answered them completely. The crew worked together very well, were respectful and considerate.
I want to note that Jake and Collin did a great job installing the new HVAC system. It was refreshing and impressive to see them take pride in their work. I would highly recommend Ice Cold Air to anyone needing an honest and professional heating and cooling company.
