The company installed my system a few years ago and it's been great. They're service contract is affordable and service is prompt and professional. It was a good choice.

Southwest refrigeration always provides excellent customer service to my clients. As a Realtor, they facilitate inspections on HVAC AC that are way more in-depth than the Home inspection can provide.Jason is honest, has integrity, shows you everything in pictures so that you can see what you have going on with your AC / HVAC systems. Had a service contract with another company who sold to SMW. First experience we had an extremely rude tech for annual service. We were hoping he just had a bad day. He talked us into installing two of these safety float switches. The glue job looks horrible, even worse, they began to leak from the glue fittings. I realized the glue is just there for appearance and with a slight tug, the pipe comes right out of the fittings. Same tech came out a second time when one of the units (1 year old units) wouldn’t run. He claimed the switches did their job and one line had a lot of growth in it. He definitely went through almost a whole case of CO2 cartridges like he said, as half of them are still sitting empty in my attic. He left and the AC was running. The next day the same unit wouldn’t run again. Luckily a neighbor, who also does HVAC for a living immediately realized it was a capacitor issue. The tech never even looked at the ground A/C units on the 2nd visit for the “clogged lines”. I have no idea how they have such high ratings when customer service and the work is horrendous.

Edit* Response to Wayne: we have had conversations about the many issues with your tech David Rodriguez. I primarily spoke to you about how extremely rude he was to my wife and you had him call me and apologize, that was his first visit. You guys think he’s a great tech and clearly he is poor. I will not be contacting you again about this matter and I refuse to do business with your company. The issue in the photos has been resolved by another company.

I had a great experience with SMW Refrigeration during a recent quality assurance check on my newly installed AC units. Nathan Bloechl was my service rep, and he was fantastic from start to finish. He arrived on time, was very friendly, and took the time to thoroughly explain what he was doing throughout the process. It’s clear that SMW values quality and customer service, and Nathan really went above and beyond to make sure everything was running smoothly. I feel confident in my system and very well taken care of. Highly recommend!

Here is why I LOVE this company!!!
My journey began working here recently full time (last few weeks) hot as it has ever been so I’m crazy right? Helping my best friend install air conditioning units in AZ with a small crew traveling all over AZ (different each day) seemed like a fun challenge. I had heard of Goettl but not SMW A/C Apache Junction to Tempe we traveled each day or Mesa, Scottsdale, Phoenix, North Phoenix & pretty much everywhere else I think Cave Creek, Anthem, New River & Peoria too. Long days & hours but learning all the time. This in the end turns out is an amazing HONEST company (no I do not work here anymore & yes I’m recommending them anyways so true story here - well deserved I might add) They are a GREAT ARIZONA company. We worked everyday on homes here in AZ area installing A/C condensers, compressors, vents, attic spaces, returns using cranes & dolly’s depending but the install job’s main focus was precision, efficiency & they trained us to do things the right way, (first time when possible) Explaining the reasoning behind why the best air conditioning companies in Arizona all operate in similar fashion I was a sponge of information in home’s all over the AZ valley but 99.9% of the time being on time or even early…Generally speaking the a/c jobs I helped with would be done the same day (most jobs) Even though I am not working for them I still believe this a/c company is the best air conditioning company in all of Arizona. I’ve come across or had the pleasure of interacting with Scott (the owner) who was polite to me from day one. The office staff was welcoming. Again SMW has the best AZ A/C install crews from Austin to Brian & Nate they were or are still installing air conditioners day after day solving unique complex variating problems but they know their stuff & helped me comprehend the process of air conditioning installations in AZ. (Much harder than you can imagine & even hotter than you could believe) Arizona is filled with all these “best we do it right etc etc A/C companies” but this one SMW walks the walk & talks the talk. Pretty impressive for an “ex employee” to feel compelled to write a 5 star (6 if they’d let me) review letting others know how rare a gemstone this diamond in the rough company is here in Arizona. Make sure you pick this one if you want your air conditioning done right the first time, on time. I worked here & don’t anymore but still send them to my family or friends without any hesitation. They cover floors/shoes from front door to the a/c duct installation area in crawl space. Leave it cleaner than we found it approach. An old school company but all the new technology & equipment so it’s best of both worlds. You will not find a better size company able to handle all your air conditioning needs than SMW. How many ex employees can speak this good of a company after leaving??
Best air conditioning company in Arizona or the USA for that matter. Put these guys up against anyone, anytime for a fair price & honest work. RARE!!! Hardest work of my life by the way but loved every moment of it. Thank you for everything & really do recommend you all the time still to this day. If you want an air conditioning company in Arizona you can trust it’s SMW because you won’t find a more endearing capable caring bunch of guys & gals. Very cool to be able to write this review knowing every word is true. Again this is the best a/c company in Arizona to work for & have your a/c installed / repaired.

11 out of 10! I vote for this air conditioning company to be the AZ A/C company of the year if that’s a thing because I can’t say enough good things about how rare it is to find an honest company from the bottom to the top I felt everyone was treated equal and fair but wanted to be there… was like an Arizona Air Conditioning melting pot family - kind of miss it apparently as I ramble on but every word of this review is true. Best AZ air conditioning business of all time Arizona.

I was able to schedule an appointment with Paul within a week for the servicing of three air conditioning units. From the outset, their communication was excellent. On the day of the appointment, I received a call with an estimated time of arrival, and the technician, Bryan, arrived promptly as scheduled.

Bryan was friendly, professional, and thorough in servicing all three units. Upon completion, he took the time to clearly explain the work performed on each system. Overall, it was a great experience, and I highly recommend their services!

I think it's a shame when a service person shows up and then informed me SMW only checks on one unit in the spring and one unit in the fall! Shame on me for not understanding that! $1,425 is outrageous to pay and this year alone it was $285 for service that took about 10 to 15 minutes! I just called & canceled this service with Don (who answered the phone)! We're done! SMW can refund my money on the card that was used to begin with!

We recently had our whole ac unit replaced, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. From start to finish, the team was professional, knowledgeable, and respectful of our home. A special thank you to Wayne who explained everything clearly, and to Nate, Jerome, and Fidel who came out and worked efficiently to get our system running perfectly again. It’s rare to find service that feels both trustworthy and thorough, but they delivered on every level. Highly recommend this company and especially for anyone needing A/C work!

David was very professional and knowledgeable at the same time , he explained to me with pictures and explained to me what I was up against I appreciate his honesty and his willingness to help. I had SMW complete a new AC install no bells and whistles. They were great and followed up through out the process. Zeke came by to do the site inspection and was nice while answering my questions. I really appreciate the zero pressure multiple pricing plans they provided and It was very straight forward. My only compliant is that because I had a "Basic install" My attic port for the air handler had to be widened and I am to assume the cost of getting it repaired. The installer advised i should have been notified of this during the inspection but i was not.

You can see they removed the molding and put blots up to hold the panel. Ultimately this is not a deal breaker just something to ensure you have clarity on.

Jason Hagerty was my technician for our winter check up. He was extremely thorough and informative about the work he was doing. Greatly appreciated. Been using SMW for years and will continue to do so.

Great company! Seriously everyone I have worked with has been friendly and professional. My A/C system went down while I was in the middle of getting quotes from 3 different companies. I got recommended to them by my friend who had their system replaced last year. SMW's quote was the most comprehensive in what they replaced and went into the details vs some of the competitors quotes were generic and didn't talk about the scope of the work they would be doing.

I worked with Jeff Pepin for the initial quote. They gave me 3 separate quotes based on like for like replacement or upgrade options. 14 seer/16 seer/18 seer. All were at a fair price.

For install I had Joe Rivera and he was super friendly and explained everything about what I had before and what they replaced and upgraded.

Lastly Troy Adam's came out a week later to check up on how the system was running and to ensure I was satisfied.

Brandon was great. He explained everything -what was needed and why. He was not pushy on products. He told me what was most important and what was optional. He was very helpful , took his time, very thorough and offered me a good program. He was very pleasant to work with.

I cant say enough about this company and the way they handle every aspect of every job they have done for me. I have been using SMW for a few years now to include a new AC installation last year. Unfortunately the compressor went out on the new unit but all worries were immediately extinguish. It started with the owner of the company getting directly involved. He contacted me right away after his tech found the problem and he assured me that everything was going to be just fine. They were back out to my house the next day with a new compressor and got my ac back up and running. From the owner on down, to include the people in the office who answer the phone and especially his technicians, just good people who were professional and even more importantly made me feel like my job was the upmost important thing to them. I know these are all things someone should expect from any company for any kind of service but we all know these things are not always found by customers. I would recommend SMW to anyone for their HVAC needs!

Ryan was really nice brought out a portable cooler unit till my parts com in. Great company Great service. He came back to fix it today.As you can see it was a huge fix he had to take it down to the very beginning. To replace the valve and the condenser. I can’t say enough about his workmanship and his attention to details. This was a massive take apart and put back together. Am so happy SMW has him as an employee. Thank you Ryan!!!!!!
