If I could leave this company zero stars, I would. My wife and I have used Peterson for a number of years, both for our home and our business. We have never been particularly impressed with their service, but until recently they had not been egregious enough to warrant switching service.

Our first issue with Peterson was when we had one of our home units replaced. When wheeling the new unit into our backyard, they put a large dent in our brand new aluminum pergola. When my wife mentioned it the technician, Nick, he haughtily replied that they hadn't hit the pergola, an obvious lie, as no one else had been back there.

Our next issue occurred at our business. A large leak developed in the ceiling, and the building's maintenance man - after checking everything out - told us that the leak was due to one of the A/C units on the roof. Peterson's technician, again Nick, came out, checked things out, and told us the A/C systems were fine and not the cause of the leak. After dealing with the building maintenance a second time, and being told that the A/C system was absolutely the cause, we had Nick come out again. This time he actually did his job and checked everything out thoroughly. Guess what? It was due to the A/C system.

Another time, a different technician came out to our house and told my wife what the problem was and that he could sell her a part he had in his truck, "without involving Peterson." Pretty sleazy.

The final straw was when our second A/C unit abruptly started under-performing. It was sudden, but the unit still worked. The technician, yes, good old Nick, came out and told my wife it was because our air filters were dirty, and proceeded to chastise my wife about changing them more frequently. While this didn't make sense as a cause of the particular signs, I went ahead and changed them. As expected, this did nothing. Nick came out again and diagnosed the problem as the A/C unit "just being old", and that we needed to replace it. Again, this didn't make sense to me: why would an A/C unit suddenly stop being more efficient, but not completely fail, just because it was "old"? I e-mailed the customer representative, Ruben, at Peterson. Instead of taking the effort to have a second opinion, he basically vomited back what Nick had told us. I asked for a quote on a new unit. He quoted us a price that was about $1,000 more than what we paid a few years earlier. I asked him if this was a comparable unit to the one we had purchased earlier. He replied, "of course not." Not only was this rude and condescending, but why should we expect a new unit, one that cools a similar area to our other, to cost $1,000 more and not be comparable? I asked him what the differences were in the 2 models. He replied (and, I'm not making this up: it's in an e-mail), "no one really knows". What? Isn't that a pretty basic question? At this point, I was done screwing around with Peterson. I called ProSkill plumbing. A nice young man was here within 2 hours. When I told him what had transpired, he agreed that NIck's "diagnosis" made no sense. He quickly determined that the problem was condensation in the line. Upon blowing the line out, the A/C worked perfectly again. The cost? $180 instead of $9,000. When I e-mailed Ruben at Peterson, he replied that he was "glad that we got the problem fixed." Of course, I had just re-signed a 2 year commitment for servicing from Peterson. Suffice to say, we will take the hit on that: these people are never stepping foot in our house or business again. Stay away from this company. Totally incompetent, sleazy, and with no regard for customer service.

I won't use another AC company! I consistently get the best service and never feel they are steering me in the most expensive direction. Technician Trevor just came out for a needed repair and he was prompt, professional, and knowledgable, and just did an amazing job!

Peterson is wonderful! We had Moukhles here today and he was thorough in checking our AC and fixing the problem. This was our second time using them and both visits have been great!

Mickolas was very thorough and attentive during the maintenance and found and replaced a wire that could have really caused us a problem later on this Summer...we very much appreciated that. He was very friendly and engaging, thank you Peterson Air for sending him to us.

Great friendly and professional service by our technician Moukhes! He did a fantastic job with our ac checkup and even advised us that we should pay close attention to our filters as we have 2 dogs. Very pleased and would definitely recommend them.

I own two homes in the Valley and I use Peterson for both. There are so many companies that just want to sell you the most expensive repair options (usually replacement of unit), but Peterson is has a truly honest customer service policy - they are the only company I trust! They always look for the lowest cost way to repair and they do it fast and efficiently. My husband and I are notorious for getting second opinions/quotes, but not for Peterson - again truly trustworthy!

Peterson Air Care & Home Services was discovered during my online search for an expert in water leak detection. Since the Company was new to me, there was hesitation on their service, however, Tech Jacob put me at ease having called when he was on his way earlier than scheduled. Upon arrival, I explained my water leak problem and in a short period of time, he determined the flow of the leak from its original destination and knew exactly where to cut into the wall to find the leaking pipe. He took photos before and after the repair and then tested the plumbing to confirm the leak was no longer. Jacob also answered all of my questions and educated me along the way. There is no doubt that I will be a return customer, if necessary, but definitely will recommend the Company and Jacob to anyone needing a professional and experienced company to handle their plumbing issues.

All the techs are so professional and always call to give updates on when they will be arriving. Nickolaus was here to do the A/C maintenance,& Moukhes was checking the filters and vents. Both very pleasant and professional. Ruben did a exceptional job scheduling all the service work to work with my schedule. I highly recommend Peterson and their employees.

What great customer service! Called on a Sunday when I noticed air was not working. David answered the phone on a weekend and sent someone out first thing the next morning. Nick arrived and diagnosed problem immediately, changed part and was so professional and honest. They have gained a customer, will definitely use in the future. Great company and employees. Rates are as expected, but they are very up front about costs and work to help package services together to minimize financial impact. I would definitely recommend their services.
