Vern completed my inspection. I've been in my home for 2 weeks without hot water, from day one the water has been luke warm. I inquired about what the water temperature was at the time of inspection and received no direct response as to what the temperature was only that his report stated the hot water heater had exceeded it expected life time. If the temp was checked and did not meet the minimum temp setting, I think that's a pretty good indicator the water heater doesn't work. Washer discharge PVC pipe clogged and the gas company wouldn't turn on the gas to our spa or water heater due to the swamp cooler discharge vents being too close to the intake vent. I asked for a refund of the inspection fee and have received no response. Do yourself a favor and find a different inspection company.

We used Inspector Joe for our home inspection. He showed up on time, and was incredibly thorough! He didn't miss a thing, and allowed us to enter into a deal knowing every issue we would eventually come across. This saved us thousands! I highly recommend using them for your inspection.

Mr. Vern Sandt was our townhome inspector. Vern was very professional and very thurough. He has many years of experience which was reflected in the detailed examination of our townhome. The report was extremely detailed accompanied by clear photos backing up the descriptions. I would employ Brick by Bryck, Inc. to conduct the next building inspection I require.

I have used Brick By Brick Inspectors for a number of home sales and pre-purchase inspections. Buyer Beware. You will pay the same fee for an excellent inspection as for a negligent inspection. As a result of one of their poorer inspections, my son ended up with a mobile home with a leaking roof, a deteriorated floor that had to be replaced, a faulty furnace, mould throughout the bathrooms and laundry. A company can hide behind only so many disclaimers before it must take responsibility for approving a house that is not habitable.

On the other hand, should you be so lucky as to have the owner inspect your property, you will receive a remarkably complete inspection. He will take you through the entire property and educate you as to both positive features as well as potential problem areas. Be sure to request the owner for your inspection or you might be sorry.

The entire inspection was amazing. Bryck doesn't just perform an inspection, he teaches the new home owner about everything, how it operates and how it's maintained. I hate to admit it, not only was it 10 times more thorough than I expected, but I learned and was entertained at the same time.

I've worked with several inspectors and Brick by Bryck is by far the best! Extremely thorough, they put buyers at ease with their purchase by educating them on the functionality of the home and finding all things are that are not currently functioning properly so that we can get them properly remediated prior to occupancy. Bryck is the greatest – we’ve bought 7 properties (multi unit rentals and single family homes) and we’ve had Bryck check them all out for us before purchase. He’s very detailed and thorough, his reports are fantastic, plenty of pictures and details. But the real deal with Bryck is you want to be there when he’s inspecting – he likes you to follow him around and tells you what’s up as you go – sometimes even throwing out a “what’s the problem with that?” kinda questions. I’ve had properties inspected in other states/towns and I can say with confidence Bryck is among the best in the business, you can’t go wrong. Plus, if you get 7 properties inspected, he’ll give you a free hat – which is pretty sweet.

The buyer of my home used this company. I am thankful the buyer purchased my home as the inspector left messes and damage. The inspector left dirty handprints on white walls, generated drywall debris that he did not clean up after removing the circuit breaker panel which he did not restore to its original position, routed out caulking on a window frame, and ignored written requests to restore settings on HVAC equipment and the water heater after testing. The home was still my property at that time, not the buyer's, and I feel the inspector disrespected it, something that should not have occurred.
