Boy I sure wish there was a way to leave -5 stars! How do you guys sleep at night? You're going to try to sell solar to people which is a great idea and could save the world one day potentially but then again you turn around and make everything worse than ever how is that possible and how big are your egos and paychecks? you guys are absolute frauds I sure hope you make things right for people. People were promised that their bills would be significantly decreased or even just a little bit and so far none of that has happened and it's been nothing but a nightmare to deal with you. Still waiting for the call for you guys to come out supposed to be out over 2 hours ago at least and there is no point in dealing with you people anymore

After much deliberation and thought, I am choosing to leave an honest review of my experience with this company. At this time, I would not recommend the Solar Store for completing your solar project.

Background:
We started the initial plans for our 2nd project with this company in the spring of 2023. Our first project with them had it's own hiccups but with the promise of them making it right we chose to trust and start another project. Final plans and agreement was signed in summer of 2023 and the Solar Store agreed this project would not be an issue to complete within the calendar year. I write this in March of 2024 with an uncompleted project.

Key Area of Improvement:
The communication from the company is severely lacking. When it became clear to them that our project was at risk of blowing the promised completed timeline, we should have received a notice AND what they planned to do to correct it. Instead, we have been left to pull information out of them. As I write this, I'm still not clear what will be happening next and when the new estimated completion is.

What's gone Right:
The on-site crew is great. When they are on the property, they work hard and the team lead often checks in and/or asks questions. There was a moment recently when the crew accidently cut an old phone line cable. The lead quickly notified me and we came up with a plan. I loved that he immediately owned it and made it right. He communicates when they will be coming and going in that particular work day and the crew seems to really get along. It's unfortunately that he is not more in the loop on the schedule which I have gathered is outside of his control. I would like to give 5 stars to the on-site crew. Those folks are hardworking people.

The Solar Store seems to have gotten some new office staff (since my last call a few years ago) and the change is much for the better! They return my calls, schedule maintenance in a timely manner, and send technicians who know what they are doing.

I purchased $30,000 solar system from the solar store in 2015. I contacted them about an issue with one of my panels not working properly and they never sent anyone out to look at the issue. They ordered a micro inverter which took about four months to replace. The panel was still not working and finally they come out and found out the panel is bad. I have tried emailing them several times with one response from them. I am currently deployed and can’t go to their store to figure this out and now it’s going on about six months of the solar system not working properly. There service process has failed and I still am waiting for a response from them. I don’t know how long it’s going to take to fix this issue.

The Solar Store installed our 38-panel system in 2010. The installation was seamless, and the support over the past thirteen years has been excellent. They are a quality service.

I've had solar heating for my pool for a number of years -- Solar Store people are always professional, courteous and extremely knowledgeable, especially to people like me who forget how to use the system. I'm getting a new roof installed and they're being extremely helpful in scheduling the removal and re-installation of the solar stuff, working with my roofer, and keeping me apprised of what's going on. Also I use their maintenance agreement which ha guaranteed me outstanding support when I need it, like for winterizing the system and getting it restarted in the spring - they're great -- especially Sarah and Michelle!!

The office staff were very friendly and personable. They were responsive to our urgent needs and got us scheduled for work quickly.
The service techs were very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful explaining why and what they were doing with the replacement of our 80 gallon solar water heater. They completed the job in 4 hrs. We are very pleased with the entire process.

The service rep who did my hot water heater maint was awesome. Incredibly knowledgeable and included me in the process. I would absolutely recommend Duane and the Solar Store to friends and family. Thank you Duane. Job well done.

My solar power inverter stopped working. We bought the system from Sunpower in Tucson. This company went out of business in 2014. I contacted the Sunpower customer care department in California. For 3 months they gave me the runaround and would not fix it.
I started calling Tucson Solar companies. The Solar Store was the only one willing to order the inverter and install it. They are the BEST.
Anyone wanting solar power, I recommend The Solar Store!!

This review would have been a 5 star review initially. At the beginning of April, my hot water heater broke and flooded my garage. The owners were amazing and came out when none of their techs were able to. A few days later, they were able to replace my tank in record time! However, the tech said they had to come back to reattach the solar part and they would reach out to me the following week. That was almost 2 months ago. I’ve reached out to them via email and by phone multiple times and keep being told they will talk to the techs and call me back the following day. But I still haven’t heard from them! The only positive thing I can say about that is that they still haven’t charged me for the work that has been completed because the job isn’t fully done.

We had a great experience about 8 years ago when our solar system was installed, along with tankless water heaters. We were able to eliminate the propane that had come with our home. The Solar Store has set us up with monitoring so we can tell how much solar we are collecting each day. When I've shut down my internet for vacation time, I'll receive a message from the Solar store that nothing is being tracked. We receive min charges from TEP per month and have received credits where we may have no charges for several months.

Shop Solar was very knowledgeable and went above and beyond with their customer service for me. They bought solar panels from another site for the same amount and lowered the delivery fee that I would have paid. Ricardo went out of his way to get a transport for a car port that was delivered to a dock a couple of hours away. I highly recommend Shop Solar.

Super impressed with the consistent and effective communication. Michaelle is terrific with follow-up and follow-through. We installed a new inverter that is a brand new model and required some learning. Solar Store team was undaunted and did everything necessary to provide a successful installation.

I have an on demand water heater. The Solar Store technicians came out diagnosed the problems, ordered the part and then professionally and within a reasonable amount of time repaired. GREAT JOB

We are under contract to purchase a home with full solar, including hot water heater, and it was difficult to find a company that would do the inspection for both. The Solar Store really came through on that account. Not only did they make time in their busy schedules to get out to the house the next day, (our inspection window was getting smaller by the minute), but they even showed up a little early so it saved me time! They were professional and personable and such a help. I was impressed with the knowledge and really appreciated the explanations and patience with all of our questions. They have even offered to help with the monitoring and making sure we are comfortable with the system going forward. I would highly recommend this company and I look forward to continuing a solid relationship with them in the future! Thank you Katharine!

With advice from the good people at The Solar Store, I recently switched my 10 year old home solar system from a single string inverter to more efficient micro inverters at each solar panel. Everyone I contacted at the office was friendly and knowledgeable. The technicians that performed the inverter conversion were very experienced and professional. I look forward to working with The Solar Store for all my home solar system needs in the years to come.

The solar pool heater we purchased from The Solar Store has worked very well. We are no longer relying on only the sun shining on the pool to warm the water. We have been able to bring the water temperature up to 85 degrees by the end of April and, this year, extended our pool time to the end of October. This has been a great investment for us and we highly recommend it.

We had used the Solar Store in the past. They were on schedule and stood behind all their work. With our second home the contractor recommended another solar company and was very disappointed in every aspect of their work and service.
We called The Solar Store and was elated with the customer service and work. They did not disappoint they communicated any delays and kept us informed.

We are happy with our experience with the Solar store. They came out and accurately sized the system (number of panels) so that we can, throughout the year, enjoy either no or low electric bills. 2023 had us pay a total of $30 for the year-in a year where we had record heat!

After interviewing another company we called The Solar Store, just to have a comparison. We went with them due to sales presentation (the outline they provided on installation approach, costs, years in business, online reviews...) Everyone from sales, to install, to inspection was friendly, professional, on-time and on budget. We cannot say enough about the install team--you guys rock! Jesse, what a pro. They installed ahead of schedule, called first to OK their arrival, worked on it from early to late each day until done. Took 3 days. Then the company sent an independent technician to do yet another check on quality. They all made everything clear and easy for us. Even the office people are professional and helpful when I have called. Ours is a 16 panel home system. We are up and running and according to the very convenient online monitoring system with Enphase everything is working well and we are generating power. Thanks folks--it is so nice to have a contractor/service do exactly what's promised as promised.

UPDATE: Over 4 years after our installation we are 100% pleased with going solar and The Solar Store. Over a year after installation we had a change we wanted to make with our panels. The Solar Store made the change for us and charged not one dime. Great company, quality equipment, quality crews!

We had our old solar panels taken off before reroofing, and then had a new system put in. This time we decided to put in the new battery backup system, and we are very pleased with the results!
Solar store was excellent was great at communicating, and kept us well informed of timelines, in additional to what we could expect from county permitting.
