Chandler is very professional and friendly. He explained what he
did, answered my questions, and reminded me of when my service agreement expires. Hearing that the prices will go up after the 1st of the year, I was able to save some money by renewing now. Great customer service.

01-28-26 (Wed.) :
My recently, non-working furnace in attic of my 2012 [Lennar Next Gen model] 1-story house, was inspected by Technician Chandler, who advised me from his smartphone pictures that the gas valve & inducer motor needed replacement.  Cost quote was $5,800, no warranties included. My A/CC unit was also inspected.

According to EPA, replacing furnace also requires replacing A/CC unit for compatibility.  Decided to purchase new furnace; a new A/C [ with 10-yr. coverage ] and a preventative maintenance contract as an investment in my 14-year old house. My questions were answered and there were no "hard-sell tactics". Ambient Air H&C Manager, Mike, confirmed required units & parts were available. Work crew scheduled to arrive the next day.

01-29-26 (Thurs.):
Kyle, Project Manager; Steven; Benny; arrived as per the time estimated [approx. 7:30 a.m.].   Later in that morning, Chander; Wyatt [Apprentice]  and James [Field Manager] arrived.

Entire work team was courteous and professional.  Old furnace & acc unit was removed and my new furnace unit and new acc unit were installed. James doubled-checked the workmanship to be sure everything was functioning properly.

James and Chandler answered any remaining questions I had.  Chandler handed me new installation instructions for both units for my files.  He also reminded me to check my e-mail for the certification I needed for my files and for my 2026 income tax (home improvement).   The work areas were left tidy and old equipment, parts, trash, etc. were removed before they left my house.   I am a satisfied customer and I would recommend Ambient Air Heating & Cooling to my neighbors.

Stay clear! I just found out from another Heat & AC installer that they installed my heater with out of code gas line, and set it for natural gas (I use LP gas as I'm outside the city limits where it isn't offered). This caused it to "burn dirty", which the technician educated me on was "yellow flame" vs. a blue to green flame. Since I am not a heater technician, I was not aware of these issues, despite them being this way for almost 7 years. I called the manager, Mike, as well as sent him pictures of these issues. He insisted "if these issues had been going on for 7 years they would have been noticeable, as it would have been burning dirty." Well evidently not, as 1) had I known I would have called someoneto fix it, & 2) I didn't even understand what "burning dirty" meant until the new technician explained it to me.
While I understand it's been 7 years, as I explained to him - why would I have reason to lie - I didn't even know I had an issue until now. I would not be calling him to fix it if someone else had done it - I would be calling the guilty party. No one has worked on that heater since it was installed, because as far as I knew, it was operating fine; in other words it did what it was supposed to - heated my home! How was I to know it was doing it unsafely???
Extremely poor customer service, Beware!

When the tech came out after my call he said it would need to be fixed when it wasn't raining He called a couple of days later after it stopped raining. He gave me a choice of times for him to come out. I picked one in the morning, and he was right on time and fixed it promptly. He has been here a couple time before and quickly diagnosed and fixed whatever problem we had. Great customer service!

Our A/C was limping along in the heat of summer and Mike and his team were very responsive to our needs! They were prompt, courteous, neat and tidy, and offered a great price. We liked them so much we asked them to change out or water heater too! Would definitely recommend these guys!!

Just had my air conditioner replaced by these guys! Went from horrible allergies year round to dramatically better. Carlson Co. is the BEST in Tucson!!! We have been a customer of Carlson Co. for over 18 yrs and would not go any where else. They are a family owned company that offer great plumbing, heating, and air conditioning services. They are professional, personable, ethical, thorough, and honest. You would be remise not to contact them. I would highly recommend their services to anyone.

Carlson also installed a water softener for us. They couldn't be nicer to work with. They always call to let us know that they are on the way, all the service people are neat and friendly (not to mention knowledgeable). We have had two previous service companies work for us (we've been in our house for 30 years). One of which we asked to install our water softener--we asked for three years and never even got a price from them. All they told us was which type they would recommend. They rerouted our ductwork when we remodeled our master bath and closet. It was a very challenging reroute, but they took it on, and it works so much better than it ever had. We will continue their services as long as we are in this house--and they are in business. Could not recommend them more highly!

Had three air conditioners installed. Service and install was outstanding. Joe Grotto, the Service Manager who coordinated quotes and the install, was extremely receptive to our needs and coordinated an excellent install. The installers were very neat and clean during the entire install. Would definitely use them again for all our plumbing and a/c needs.

We have a home that is 110 years old and needs tender loving care. We have used Carlson for just about every issue you can imagine over the last 20 years and simply cannot say enough about what a terrific job they do. They have responded to emergencies immediately, scheduled non-emergency installations and repairs in a timely manner and are always there for us. All of their employees either know immediately what to do or will research and find a solution for us every time. They discuss costs and options with us and are unfailingly honest and above board about everything, many times saving us money in the process. I have and will to continue to recommend them to everyone, everywhere, all the time.

We just had our semi-annual HVAC heating service on our gas furnace. Technician Gerard did the work. He was great. Came on time and called us right before he arrived. It was an excellent experience. Gerard was professional, proficient, and pleasant. Walked and talked us through every step of the process. He is an awesome employee and one of the main reasons we patronize The Carlson Company. UPDATE: We recently had one of our HVAC units replaced. Carlson was price competitive and, as I've stated below, their workmanship is outstanding. They handled the replacement very professionally and they got the job done on time and as quoted. They are a GREAT company and we are happy to have them on our team.

I have been with The Carlson Companies for over 35 years now. They installed the HVAC system in our house during construction and they have been servicing the units ever since. We also have a small office building and Carlson keeps us running there too.
Over the years, we've done renovations and additions to our house. Carlson was right there with us for both the HVAC and the Plumbing.

At the outset, I worked with Dave (the dad) and then with Mike and David, his sons. They were also willing and able to jump on any project or maintenance issue. There was no project too big or small. Their goal is always to do good quality work and keep everything working. And they do this pretty much any time of the day and on short notice. This work mindset and work ethic has extended to any staff they send our way as well.
