Mark Coronado from Pioneer Plumbing came to my home to provide quotes for various upgrades and repairs. He was friendly, so patient, professional and made knowledgeable suggestions and gave clear and reasonable quotes. Mark is a great representative for Pioneer. I’ll definitely call Pioneer again.

I had an appointment on Friday, waited all day, and they never showed up. Decided to give them a second chance, so I called Sunday and the manager said he would call me Monday morning. He didn't, so I called them. They sent a tech out in 45 minutes. His price ( even supposedly with a discount) was more than twice another estimate I was given. Obviously, I didn't hire Pioneer. This was to replace the gas valve on the water heater--under warranty $400+, without warranty $1,000++

Matthew and Robert did a great job with checking out the meter and doing a pressure test to verify that there were no leaks. They did a great job. They made me feel that they really cared about making sure that there were no leaks. There were no leaks. They took pictures and videos which will help me with verifying to the City that it is their meter that is messing up. Yes, they deserve 5 stars for sure
The last review was in Aug. 2025. I am writing more because I had to have Pioneer Plumbing come out once again to prove that there were no leaks for the Tucson City water dept. After 4 months of trying to prove to the city that there were no leaks the city water dept. credited me for 3 months $256.00. The 1st month after the City put in a new meter the city was saying that we were once again using almost 4000 gallons of water a day. I checked everything I even did my own pressure test. I called Pioneer Plumbing and asked where should I look for more possible leaks. On Sept. 20 Mark came out and once again verified that there were no leaks. When I called Pioneer Plumbing I talked with 3 people telling them my story. They listened, they understood my issue, they verified that I was not crazy and that they would help me get to the bottom of this. Pioneer Plumbing did that on Sept. 20. I will use Pioneer Plumbing again and again. They were Fantastic, Understanding, Helpful and just GREAT!!!!!!!! I would like to thank them so much for making me feel understood and letting me know that 4000 gallons a day was an outrageous amount. I would like to thank those who I remember by name. Matthew, Robert, Ray, Henry and Mark!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PIONEER PLUMBING IS AN AMAZING COMPANY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! -
We had a main water line leak. A technician and a manager came out promptly and were creative in problem solving as I didn’t want our driveway trenched. Two technicians showed up the following morning and started digging. The following mid morning two guys showed up and began to lay the pipe. These guys were at our house until 11 pm! Unfortunately they could not seal two joints so left with the understanding that they would return the following morning to finish the job. At this point we were more than 12 hours without water. The next day is where the job went sideways. No one showed up until after 4 pm! And no one called me!! I started calling at 10 am asking where our plumbers are. I was told they were on “an emergency job.” I am thinking our house without water is an emergency job but… the office folk were very nice and tried to locate someone to call and come finish the job. Around 2pm I told them I wanted to escalate and speak to a manager. I was then told the manager was on his way. It took him 2.5 hours to show up after he was “on his way.” Again no one reached out to me. All information and service I got was me calling them and asking what was going on. All Henry, the manager, said when he showed up was “dispatch was supposed to call you.” I consider communication top priority when dealing with contractors. Because of this I will not use Pioneer Plumbing again.

Mark Coronado, did yearly maintenance on tankless water heater, on time, extremely nice and knowledgeable to work with.
I would differently recommend Pioneer Plumbing.

Had a small water main leak addressed quickly and at a premium which I was happy to pay (~$950). However, while waiting for pipe bonding to cure, asked to reseat existing toilet that took ~20 minutes to perform with only a wax ring as material needed, and was charged over $550 for that simple effort (while waiting). Pioneer could have exercised some small discount because they were already at the site, but chose to charge full over-stated price for effort, even after a call-back to office to inquire about the excessive charge. Actual service was professional and well done. Overall, …Not the Pioneer of old!

Compared to other companies, Pioneer is overpriced—but that’s not the main reason for this 1-star review.
We had an old water heater with a leak that needed replacement. Pioneer charged $100 to send someone out on an emergency call, which was understandable and would have been applied toward the replacement and installation. After receiving the quote, we felt the overall price was too high and decided to pause while we got other estimates.
Matthew, the technician, was very pleasant and professional, and for that he deserves credit.
However, after speaking with his supervisor, Matthew told us we now owed $183 simply for the visit. No work was done. The water had already been shut off before he arrived, and the visit amounted to looking at the unit and generating a quote on an iPad.
I don’t mind paying what I’m clearly quoted—but being charged more after the fact, without prior explanation, feels like an integrity issue.
My advice: get multiple quotes and be very clear about all charges before you commit. -
Chris from Pioneer Plumbing did an excellent job fixing my leaking toilet. He was thorough in inspecting the issue and took time to answer questions about some plumbing concerns in my shower. Chris was professional, courteous, and very patient with my three energetic dogs. I’m very happy with the results and highly recommend his services!

What can I say…? Red & Anthony were two of THE BEST workers I have EVER had the experience to hire! Pioneer Plumbing (the company they work for) is also FABULOUS to work with for underground plumbing issues. Forget the mega-price heavy duty construction firms - if you have an underground plumbing or sewer issue, these guys are TOPS! Great equipment and expertise, great site management (traffic, safety, neatness) and a solid understanding of what must be done to fix the issue RIGHT, the first time! Have an H. O. A. issue to solve for your community? These guys will work with you every step of the way! Highly Recommended!!

Pioneer Plumbing snaked my drains and afterwards it was like a sprinkler system under my sink. Apparently a rubber gasket needed to be replaced but rather than do that they smeared a handful of plumbers putty around the joint. I have never seen something so ridiculous. I will fix it myself because I am sure their next step would be duct tape. Extremely frustrating situation. Update, after fixing the leaks myself I am finally able to test and my drains drain nicely. But if I spend $700 I don't expect to be doing any work myself. So even though the pipes drain they still earned one star. I was sent a placating apology that I was not happy with my service. I'm sure this was written by their AI assistant who answers when you call their office with a problem. They have my contact information but have made no attempt to contact me to make anything right. I spoke to the plumber and told him about the leak he said it might need more plumbers putty or some silicone tape. This is a slip joint connection neither of those is appropriate. When I view their site my review does not exist.

Aaron arrived within the hour which is what told to me. He reviewed all of my plumbing in home for free updates on possible needs. Repaired my main water shut-off valve and under kitchen sink valve. Very happy with all of his work and knowledge regarding other issues as well. Gave estimates on future water heater.

Daniel is the best ! The first time he came he went thru everything to see if my water softener was working. He ran the water thru the house for 20 min and now the water softener seems to be working. We tested the water and it is soft. He came back today to check. All the other companies just wanted me to buy a new water softener. He save me a lot of $$$. You have a great employee. Thank you

Chris Andrade was excellent! He was very professional, knowledgeable, and amicable. Chris diagnosed, advised, and completed all of the work in record time. He even found some issues that we were not aware of, so we will definitely have him back again. The prices for Pioneer are high, but the quality of work is excellent and worth it!

Fantastic work and a great local company! Highly recommended!
Edit: I’ve had Mr. Matt Sibley come out 2 times now for other services at our building! Matt has displayed a great attitude and professionalism both times I have seen him. Scheduling was also very easy and they had someone out within an hour to get us fixed up! Great company with fair prices! -
I had the best experience with Pioneer Plumbing! From the first contact, I was in tears calling in; I had never had any issues with my home, as a first home time buyer. The young lady whom I spoke to expressed genuine empathy and concern. She consoled me and assured me they would be able to help. Matthew the technician was wonderful! He explained everything thoroughly, fixed the issue efficiently, and was polite and professional throughout the entire visit. I really appreciated his clear communication and quality of work. Excellent service!! Thank you Pioneer Plumbing!

Effortless service. From the first call to schedule until the departure of the technician, everything went smoothly and all the folks were helpful and kind. Mark was the plumber and he was quick and friendly. Really appreciate the humanity of everyone I dealt with. Felt like a small town operation with professional service! Thanks!

Our Navien tankless hot water heater was leaking at the bottom of the tank. Wanting to determine if the warranty was still good, a call was made to Pioneer Plumbing that installed the unit. A call was made to Pioneer Plumbing who installed the unit. The person who took the call instructed me to get the model number and call Navien directly. Got the information and called Navien directly. They informed me that I had to have a contractor contact them. They do not accept calls from the public. I called Pioneer Plumbing to inform them that a professional contractor would need to call them. Pioneer set up an appointment on 1/19 to have techs come out and diagnosis the problem. They thought it was a hose issue and a charge of $189.00 was due for the diagnosis. The office was notified that all calls were to come to my phone number as the owner was located in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean and would NOT be able to receive any phone calls. The office called the owner anyway. The owner texted me that a phone number appeared on her phone. I made a call to the office and they gave me a run around. They said the hose had to be ordered. Don't think it ever was ordered. Chino was sent out for a secont time on 2/17 with information that it could be the O ring. Thanks to Chino, he fixed the O ring tested it out and it is no longer leaking. The charge for this 20 minute fix was $280.00. Chino called several people to see if he could charge less but was told NO! On 2/17, the GM of Pioneer Plumbing reached out to me. I explained several issues that I was unhappy with and he said he'd check things out and get back to me. It is now March 4th and NOTHING! Think it could have been fixed with the first diagnosis.

Our plumber showed up promptly when we asked, which was helpful for accommodating our work-from-home meetings. He looked at the two projects we had, a loose faucet and a leaky toilet. He explained what he would do, and made recommendations to accommodate an old toilet part that was no longer a standard size. He was friendly and professional, even making sure the back gate was closed because he knew we have dogs. Everything was fixed within 90 minutes and we had a great experience. Thanks!

We have used Curtis Plumbing for 2 huge projects- re-piping our entire gas lines, and more recently re-piping our entire irrigation system. I cannot say enough good things and Ken Curtis and his crew. They are smart, hard workers, extremely high quality, trustworthy, think before they cut and this was a complicated mess they straightened out in an old house. I've also used them for smaller projects- built in washing machine install, replace cartridges in nice faucets, etc. You can't find better plumbers than these guys!

It is my pleasure to strongly recommend Curtis Plumbing to the entire community for exceptional work. Ken, owner of Curtis Plumbing fixed 2 of the most difficult problems found in his industry. His technical skills and knowledge surpasses anyone in the residential and commercial setting hands down. Curtis Plumbing is like none other. They are reliable, precise, and personable. And one last thing which is completely unheard-of today is someone who has innate sense of responsibility and awareness to protect your home. That level of commitment and integrity cannot be bought or taught. Curtis Plumbing & I share the same philosophy "Do it right the first time". Best, Dr Sarah Puri MD
