The technician was professional and friendly. He explained everything he was going to do that day. When the bad coil was found he showed and explained the problem. Appreciated all the info. He did a great job.

TERRIBLE customer service! Trying to get a call back from this office / supervisor is impossible! Had a “check up” in AC unit and technician said he did things he did NOT do! Then had to have them come out to do a service call on AC unit in summer by winter heater is out! Bad wiring job burned up my wires and receptacle. All through AHS. I informed AHS this company was not going to do any other “repairs” on my house! They refuse to call me back so that we can discuss all the damage they have caused!

This repair company is the best hearing and air company I have ever encountered. Steven was right on time, it took 25 minutes total for him to complete the repairs. The price was so reasonable, about 1/4 of the cost I expected to pay. And a great staff! They were so professional, from the first phone call from Heather, to the update text to the service repair man Steven to the quality parts to the expedited repair time, I felt completely taken care of. I would recommend Austin Heating and Air to anyone, anytime for all heating and AC repair needs!

Austin Heating and Air has been out to my house three times and still failed to fix my A/C. I was left without air conditioning for over three weeks in the middle of summer, and each time they came, they either misdiagnosed the issue or made it worse. At this point, they are entirely responsible for breaking the unit that was originally working — just needed a repair, not a total failure.

I gave them multiple chances to make it right, but the lack of urgency, poor communication, and flat-out incompetence is inexcusable. If you value your time, money, or sanity, do not use this company.

I had the absolute pleasure of working with Freeman from AUSTIN HEATING AND AIR INC, and I can confidently say—it was one of the best service experiences I’ve ever had. Freeman arrived right on the dot, came fully prepared, and within minutes, it was clear I was dealing with a true professional. He diagnosed the issue with laser-sharp precision, explained every detail with patience and clarity, and resolved the problem faster than I thought possible. His craftsmanship, integrity, and pride in his work were unmistakable.

From the initial call to the final follow-up a few days later, AUSTIN HEATING AND AIR INC raised the bar on what service should be. They’re responsive, transparent, and genuinely committed to doing the job right—not just quickly, but exceptionally well. In an industry where shortcuts are common, they stand out for all the right reasons. If you’re looking for HVAC service that’s prompt, professional, and downright impressive—this is the team to call. They’ve earned a customer for life.

I’m satisfied with Freeman’s ability to review the defective thermostat of my AC/Heating system. He was thorough to quickly repair the defective parts. He also provided tips for future maintenance in order to prolong my system’s efficiency. Great work Freeman, I appreciate your timely visit.

This company came out as part of our home warranty service. They were to inspect two AC units and two thermostats. They inspected one AC unit said it needs 1lb of freon which is 100% covered by our warranty.

The tech said our warranty does not cover freon, even though we confirmed with the warranty before the tech arrived and after they left. The tech wanted us to pay him $250 on the side to take care of the freon issue. Now it has been multiple weeks and we cannot get a report from the tech or company. Our warranty has reached out on at least 6 different occassions and still nothing.

Honestly it sounds shady when something is covered and they tell you its not but if you pay me $250 I'll take care of it for you.

    Would not recommend.

I always try to give everyone the benefit of the doubt, especially in the trades and service sector.
Recently, my AC located in attic developed a leak in the attic.
I contacted my home warranty company, American Home Shield Warranty. AHSW dispatched Austin Heating and Air.
After the initial call, they gave me response of 4 days from my initial call, which I understand, everybody is busy.
The tech that responded, late due to a flat tire arrived.
The tech did an evaluation and determined that the condensate line was back graded and that the pan underneath the unit was not draining properly .
The tech advised me that the issue was repairable and would probably take no more than 2 hours.
When asked for an approximate time frame of when repairs would be made, he stated” we are having mild weather and should be within the week”
That time frame has come and gone, and we are experiencing high temperatures now.
Multiple calls to Austin Heating and Air have gone unanswered .
I can’t get through to a live operator or a customer agent at Austin Heating and Air.
I even attempted to make contact with Austin heating and Air with the physical address listed on file with Google Maps.
Responded to their address and was told they have not been at this site for approximately 6 months.
I have not received a report or disposition on the service call.
Again , I like to give people the benefit of the doubt and always try to be civil and fair with my dealings with people.
However based upon facts, I would not recommend Austin Heating and Air.

So I was assigned to this company through First American Home Warranty. This company was on time, professional, and were able to get me a new ac through the insurance (super shocked if you’ve ever dealt with FAHW). I was totally shocked on the whole experience and would recommend them to anyone! Now to getting them to call me back to confirm my install appointment was rough (never got a call back), but FAHW text me when to expect their arrival, which made it a smooth install. The installers were amazing and gave me more informa That I ever imagined and were very helpful.

My home warranty contacted this company. First guy who came came late first of all, which is understandable and kind of normal with service request. First technician took over 2 hours to diagnose, or actually misdiagnosed my unit. He said it needed a new motherboard. He took apart my Mini Split unit and made a big mess over my office area printer and desk without cleaning. The follow-up guy came a few days later, said it was low on freon that the insurance does not cover that and they would be calling me. I never received a call so I had to call and spoke to somebody in their office who said it needs 2 lb of freon and the cost is $200 per pound LOL. I was able to get it done for $90 per pound. I mentioned how the mess was made in my office area and the lady asked why I did not tell her so they could send somebody to clean it up. I told her the first guy saw it and the second guy saw it, some things are just common sense. But obviously this was a lack of diligence on their part. This ultimately always comes down to bad management. This company primarily makes their money off of insurance, plays the insurance game while at the same time gouging customers as well as insurances and warranty companies. I do not recommend this company at all.

Customers be very mindful of the 10-year warranty option for residential home's heating and air conditioning system(s), because certain manufacturer defects on parts within the heating and air conditioning system doesn't qualify for the 10-year "parts-and-labor" warranty and can cost the normal customer about $400 charge (i.e., "coolant" refill) along with the standard $85 for each visit.

One of Oasis' (labeled) "brand-new" residential heating and air conditioning system had a manufacturer defect in which a part within the heating and air conditioning system was cracked and the "coolant" leaked and had to be refilled at the expense of the customer for about $400 (along with the standard $85 for each residential visit). Then, another part within the (labeled) "brand-new" residential heating and air conditioning system was discovered to be leaking oil, in which the 10-year "parts-and-labor" warranty covered the cost of a "new" part but another $85 had to charged for the future re-visit and replacement of the second bad part (when the second bad part could have been noticed and mentioned by the technician(s) upon noticing the first manufacturer defect in the "cracked" part that leaked "coolant", in which the second $85 visit fee could have been avoided).

And this labeled "brand-new" or "new" residential heating and air conditioning system is only 4 years old and was purchased in 2013.

Actually, I was slated to attend schooling for HVAC certifications, in which I discovered that a lot of the heating and air conditioning systems are actually refurbished on many different levels (& sometimes resold) and many of the parts within the heating and air conditioning system that companies "take-away" when replacing with labeled "new" heating and air conditioning systems are salvaged and sometimes refurbished, which could explain the fast turn-around time of ordering the so-called "new" part(s).

The customer service representatives and service-technicians at Oasis Air Conditioning are polite and courtesy though.

Our AC went out last week during one of Bakersfield's heat waves. We have been customers of Oasis for over 10 years and Jeannette scheduled JC to come out the same day. He was professional and competent and our AC was fixed in less than 45 minutes. Thanks Oasis for your prompt response and attention. Bravo for customer service!

Oasis Air Conditioning does great work. They are very professional, prompt and honest. I highly recommend their services. They install new heating and air systems, repair existing systems and even do annual services on your system which is something you want to do every year to prevent major A/C failure. They often catch small issues with the AC before it turns into a big issue.

    5

Courteous, professional. On Checking my air conditioner Cruz, technician, said my AC was in perfect working condition after another company said i needed to replace mine with them for $14, 000. Was a scam call OASIS if you need AC repair

Had Oasis install a new AC and seems like every time we turn around have issue with this equipment and pay again to have repaired. Just had unit serviced and now told unit is broken and dirty. When asked about why is it dirty just paid for servicing advise they did a fall service not a spring service so they don't clean the unit. $100 for servicing and now almost $400 for repairs. Oasis offered to sell me a service package for $180 that would give me 20%discount on parts that are probably marked up a 100%.

Now after a few years feel I need to have this equipment removed and quality equipment installed by another company. Very Very Frustrated with Oasis and their products. Don't feel they stand behind their product or services.
