Appliance Repair reviews in Clovis, California

Sears technician provided a great service. He arrived on time and let me know in advance when he will reach my home. He understood the appliance issue and ordered all required parts and repair was done with great care.

We keep getting an error code on the dryer and have gone through the troubleshooting guide. A service tech has been to our house 5 times now, and we have done everything they told us to, and they have replaced the motor, but it's still happening, and worse now.
They were helpful in the beginning, but now is starting to go downhill. First they show up and wait 2 minutes before leaving, and he didn't even attempt to call me (my kids were being loud and I couldn't get to the door fast enough). Then the next time, a different tech didn't make it at all, but he did call me to let me know. Then the 3rd time he doesn't show up and doesn't call, so we leave for a trip. He ends up showing up 1.5 hours past the wait window, but since we weren't home, he says we declined the service and cancelled the request.
I just want a working dryer!!!! We don't have time to keep waiting at home for service techs to not show up. We both work full time. This is getting ridiculous! And it's wasting energy because we have to run the dryer multiple times for each load before it will actually heat up and dry out clothes. We have 2 toddlers, for Christs sake, we don't have time for this!! -
Service, information and instructions provided were great and appreciated.

I purchased a refrigerator 2 years ago and a few months ago there was a leak from the hose. I called for repair service which I thought was too expensive $550 to repair. I have been a Sears customer for over 40 years never had issues with appliances. I decided to cancel the repair service but was never able to contact anyone about a refund it took 2 weeks to finally speak to someone. The charge on my credit card was done immediately!! I did not receive a full refund therefore tried once more to reach customer service again unable to reach anyone. I was shorted $50 on refund who kept the remainder of refund. Will never deal with Sears again!!!!

The technician was great, but it does seem like part determination could be ascertained ahead of time by talking to the customer so we don’t have to wait until July 9 for repair.

Our service tech never bothered to show up, even though we had a booked appointment. They claimed they called and since we didn't answer they cancelled the appointment. In fact we were supposed to have to different guys come for two different things and neither one of them showed up. That's a bad look.

Bruce from Sears was on time, professional, explained everything and went above and beyond to ensure we got the right parts. He even came ahead of time then scheduled appointment to repair the fan issue. Sears, Bruce needs a raise, now days it’s difficult to have amazing quality employees. Thank you Bruce, I greatly appreciate you and your experience.

Well, after four trips to assess and repair our fairly new refrigerator, it was finally fixed. At least we think it has been fixed. But we will continue to assess the freezer and refrigerator temperatures for several more weeks. At that time we will rest a bit easier. This has been a long haul and we hope and pray that our fairly new refrigerator will make ice and remain cold as it is suppose to function. The last repairman, whom made several trips to our home, is a true professional and we loved his service. Thank you !

Our 3rd party warranty service sent out two other companies before Sears and neither of the other companies knew how to fix the problem. Finally, they sent out Sears and our technician was Ward. He was very professional and polite. He diagnosed the problem immediately and ordered the part. He knew approximately when the part was going to arrive and made the 2nd appointment with us before the part arrived so as not to waste time and get the job done ASAP. In fact, we made the job harder for him because we were in the process of moving and then we decided to stay a little longer so we changed addresses on him 2 times.

The rate is for Sears service is very poor. You cancel my appointments many times and the technician didn't show up to finish fixing the refrigerator.

He did a good job trying to fix my dryer. I wish he could have fixed my refrigerator also. I had 2 requests at one time to be repaired, but that person this afternoon never called nor showed up!!!

Getting technicians out within a couple of days is good but it takes up to two weeks to get parts! AND I had our tech cancel our first delivery and never showed (no cancellation call) for the next appointment. It's difficult to get through to anyone since 90% of their customer service is automated. This is the core of their problem and weakness in their customer service. Once the technician is FINALLY fixing your appliance they do a great job

I would give one star if I could. This is the 2nd time for a no show. I have been waiting 4 hours today & finally received a text they have arrived 4:59pm. Excuse me I’m here and no one is at my door. Such a total inconvenience!! Sears get your act together! Have real people answer your phones! Such a waste of my time now have to find someone else as your obviously unreliable!

Overall all our experience was great. Our repairman arrived on time and not only found the problem but had the part in his van. This could have set us back a week, which is a big deal to be without a washer. He also did the preventive maintenance on our dryer and left the place spotless. Please let him know we are extremely happy with our experience and have been and will remain a loyal customer to Sears. Thank you again.

Sareth (my assigned technician) came well within their scheduled time frame and inspected my washer. Within minutes was able to diagnose and address the problem.
He was very friendly, professional and knowledgeable.
Only complaint is the price for labor/time.
(with 10% discount applied) price was $216
They were only here from 8:38am - 9:10 (~30min) and tightened a bolt, and ran some diagnostics.
The price should have been capped at the diagnostic price of $109 since there was no parts required for a fix and the time was minimal.
No complaints with the technician, only with the pricing -
Omar walked out on the job and left it incomplete. Never met such an incompetent technician. He said, “I don’t need this,” got in his van and drove away. His only response to me was that the heating in his house doesn’t work either. As a technician, you’d think he could fix the heating in his own place.
In summary, our heating system does not work, just as it didn't before he arrived. This was after the other Sears technician never even came to the Tuesday appointment a few days before. Good luck calling anyone because there is no phone number, only an automated system. -
Tech was on time, polite, did the job quickly. Tech gets 5 stars. Service Management that controls pricing gets one star.
The price was outrageous! $300 for less than 15 minutes work. The part was $140.
I will never use Sears Service again because of price. -
I really would give 4 1/2 stars, but that option was not available. The technician was wonderful! He knew what he was doing and was courteous, professional, and friendly. The only negative part was that the appointment was scheduled for a Tuesday from 1 PM to 5 PM. At 4:30 PM, I received a text saying that I was being rescheduled to the following Thursday 8 AM to 12 PM. At 11:30 AM that day I received a call saying they were rescheduling me to that afternoon. They then finally did come at about noon and fixed my oven in about an hour. I’m happy to have my oven working again that was unhappy about all the delays!

Technicians were professional and polite.
However, the quality of service provided by Sears setting up appointments is abysmal! I have never experienced worse service.
If you are interested in a detailed explanation, let me know and I will provide you with one. -
My technician is quick, efficient, spot on and right on time. Very nice guy too.

The technician was fine. Told me I would have to wait for my parts until the 31st. That was three weeks. He said if they came in sooner to call and they would come out and install them earlier. There is absolutely no way of contacting you. My parts came in in two days. So we rescheduled online got a confirmation had to leave where I was that day. Came home to wait for a technician that never Called or showed up. No way to contact anybody again. Rescheduled again for the next day came home again. No one called or showed up again! Called Home warranty because you are not available. They tried and said they were finally able to get a hold of you and there would be somebody out on Saturday even though I had my son flying in from out of state. I was available! No one called no one came again. To say that I am angry is an understatement. Now it was a Saturday and Home Warranty could not get a hold of you either. They sent an email. I am beside myself and don’t even know what to do. The absolute worst customer service
