Shane was very helpful and reachable. He was very communicative throughout the installation process. The prices were reasonable as per the quality of the unit. The installation team was punctual and professional. Ensured everything is working before leaving.

Refreshed just installed a heat pump system for our home in Berkeley. Our place had two furnaces, one each on the two main living areas of the space. They installed a 5 ton Heat Pump for the main level and then 3 smaller mini-splits for the downstairs rooms that are less frequently utilized.

Michael came out and did an incredibly thorough job evaluating our space and looking at all of the factors germane to getting the most efficient system in place. He provided an easy to use quote that let me toggle different options and price points with some detailed information about the pros and cons of each. He was also incredibly accessible throughout our process of considering which system to go with; he was friendly, knowledgeable, and very honest and seemed to always be available to talk.

The installation team did great work. They showed up on time and worked efficiently, were polite working around my family's use for the space and honestly they left our place cleaner than when they found it! Overall a great experience.

We are happy that we went with this company; we are still learning the system but the service, install, and most importantly the warranty make us feel very good that we made the right choice. Highly recommend!

We had a problem with our furnace cycling on and off, as well as some water present. Tony came out and diagnosed the problem, thoroughly explained what was going on and gave recommendations for both short and long term repair/maintenance. I felt that he was fair and informative and also educated me on some basic things I can do in the future. I would highly recommend Refreshed Heating and Cooling.

Refreshed provided excellent priced options for relocating our HVAC ductwork and air handler to the attic, which was not a trivial solution. Despite unforeseen structural issues, they quickly adapted to find the best solution and price. The crew was respectful, mindful of our infant’s naps, and cleaned up daily. This is an edit to my previous post, but we had a heat pump and cooling unit installed in our home and their service techs Chris and Nick were top notch, hard working and smart. Refreshed heating and cooling is our 4th heating HVAC company we have ever worked with in our lifetime, our first in our personal residence so we chose them because frankly we wanted to find a company that we can depend upon to provide honest work, advice, estimates, service, who stand behind their work and who’s willing to keep us updated on work progress.

I had a central air system upgrade done. I was told it would take two full days for them to finish. The Refresh technicians got the demo and complete install done in 9 hours, with a return visit the next day to calibrate (fine tune) the system which only took about an hour and a half. The AC works twice as well as it did before. The Refresh technicians were neat and very personable not to mention very professional. I would strongly recommend Refresh Heating and Cooling to anyone look to install and/or upgrade their AC/Heating system.

We had an amazing experience with this company! Our HVAC system is 23 years old, and honestly, we were completely clueless about what was going on with it because the heat wouldn't come on. We were glad we asked for service yesterday afternoon and they replied promptly with an appointment the next day. The technician took the time to thoroughly explain everything, including the fact that the system had been short-wired for who knows how long. It's honestly a miracle it was still running at all! Their professionalism, honesty, and clear communication really stood out. Instead of pushing unnecessary upgrades, they focused on helping us understand our system and what we actually needed. We felt completely taken care of from start to finish and will keep them for maintenance service calls.

I searched out Michael's contact information at Refreshed as his team had previously installed a mini-split in my home. He and his team had done a great job and therefore, when I wanted to install two additional mini-splits, I fortunately found Michael's business card that I had saved since 2022. Michael and his team once again did a great job on the installation of the two additional mini-splits at a very reasonable price. I've sometimes had buyer's remorse with big decisions involving my home, but in this case, I have no buyer's remorse. To the contrary, I'm very happy that I had these installed. And I'm very glad that I sought out Michael at Refreshed because I've found him to be trustworthy which means a lot to me in selecting a contractor.

When questions arose around the smart thermostat, Refreshed stepped up and gifted us a superior smart thermostat. Michael and his team did a great job explaining the installation process and installing a new central heat pump and hybrid water heater in my home. I especially want to acknowledge my team, Christopher and Nicholas, who spent three days making sure they insulated and sealed the vents, expanded the return to improve efficiency and added a new run to improve air flow upstairs. Compared to other quotes the price was reasonable and the quality of their work is top notch.

We just had our old broken furnace replaced by Refreshed, and we also added air conditioning. Michael was really helpful to understand our options, and he was especially knowledgeable about the different brands / models, the pros and cons of each, and how changes in our economy would affect both our installation cost (there are rebates available on energy-efficient models) and our ongoing energy bills from PG&E. After selecting the best option, they showed up the next day and delivered some space heaters for us to borrow until our new furnace arrived, which was MUCH appreciated. Then, Robert and team arrived with the new highly-efficient heat-pump furnace. During the installation, they also fixed some issues we had with our ducting, our drier vent pipe, and they helped to tear down and haul away an old rusty shed that was located where the new heat pump needed to be installed outside. Throughout the entire experience, everyone was positive, energetic, helpful and really easy to work with. If you need heat or air conditioning, I strongly recommend you work with Refreshed! :)

I had a complete HVAC system overhaul done—they removed the old ductwork, asbestos, and gas furnace, and installed an entirely new HVAC system. Michael, the owner, is a genuinely kind person who offers great prices and excellent service. His team is equally wonderful—friendly, understanding, and flexible when it comes to making changes to contracts. This is a fast, upfront, and very trustworthy company.

First class experience from start to finish. Micheal gave me multiple excellent options to upgrade my HVAC system, his knowledge of products to fit my needs was impressive. Huge shout out to the installation team that worked so hard to finish my job timely . Installation was smooth and clean with much attention paid to the details. Awesome experience with Refreshed Heating!
Hands down one of the best experiences I’ve had with any home project. Michael and Robert were great to work with—super professional, easygoing, and really knew their stuff. Michael took the time to explain all the different options to me, what would work best for our home, and why. Unlike other vendors, they actually had a variety of brands to choose from, which was refreshing. We ended up going with a Bryant heat pump, and it’s been working great.

They even helped coordinate the asbestos abatement and handled all the communication with that team, which took a big load off my plate. The install went super smoothly. We’ve got a kid and a dog at home, and both Darwin and were really respectful and thoughtful throughout the whole process.

Highly recommend them if you’re in the Bay Area and looking for a solid, no-stress HVAC install.

Oh, and their pricing was super competitive too—definitely felt like we got a great deal.

I have a mini-split heater/AC upstairs in our room, and it slowly stopping producing any hot air. I needed to look for an HVAC repair company for the first time, and I am so happy that I found Refreshed Heating and Cooling. First of all, they were extremely responsive. They quoted a very reasonable $59 diagnostic fee to come out - which I honestly prefer paying over somebody who makes you jump through more hoops before they come see you. John, an excellent technician who has been doing this for 20+ years, showed up on time, was friendly, explained what he was doing... and ultimately diagnosed and then fixed everything within an hour. He also cleaned my filters for free. My heater is now working again (immediately), and I want to keep Refreshed around as my HVAC company of choice. I was a little hesitant at first because I didn't see they had a lot of reviews, but my experience was 10/10. Thank you John and Refreshed.

We had a Bosch mini-split installed in our primary bedroom back in 2018 and it's been working great. Recently my wife has been complaining that it smells when being used. I opened the cover on the indoor unit and found that it was covered in mold. Not knowing what to do about it I called Bosch who gave me the number of a few companies in my area who were certified to work on their equipment.

I called all the companies on the list and the one who stood out the most to me was Refreshed Heating and Cooling out of Concord, California. I spoke to Richard (owner) and he was very patient and took the time to explain everything and made me feel at ease due to my previous experiences of hiring contractors over the years.

On the day of cleaning my mini-split I had John show up exactly on time with a nice looking vehicle that was wrapped with the companies information and logo on it that gave the overall impression of the company being very professional.

I had set up a towel on the floor beneath my mini-split along with a step stool and a garbage can to make things as easy as possible. John placed what looked like a waterproof blanket over the top of my towel to create an even better barrier to make sure my carpet stayed clean which made me feel better about how much pride he takes in his work. Since my unit was so dirty it took quite a bit of time get it clean but when it was finally done it looked like brand new on the inside and all the mold I could see was gone. John also took a container full of compressed nitrogen and blew the coils off while using a towel to capture all the dust that blew off. John seems to take a lot of pride in his work and you can tell he has a lot of experience.

When all was said and done we couldn't be happier with how it turned out. I did sign a contract to have them come out every 6 months to clean this unit to make sure it never gets this bad again. Breathing mold is not good for you especially in a confined room so hopefully this will never get this bad again.

If you have a mini-split I would highly recommend Refreshed Heating and Cooling for all your maintenance needs. We are extremely happy with how things turned out.
