Our deferred maintenance resulted in an emergency. An attempt by non-plumbers to install a washer resulted in their removing both laundry valves, giving up, and driving off.

We were left with no water - unless we wanted to flood our garage, that is. Late in the afternoon.

Preferred Plumbing was the only biz we could find that could help us the same day. Our case was a tough one (our bad) ... but in the end, we got our water back, at a VERY reasonable price.

This company is a total waste of time!! Do not use. I had a water heater leak before Thanksgiving, called the company who is supposed to be 24 hr, they set a time and didn't show up at all when we were facing a major appliance breakdown and flooding in house. Then upon calling again they said they will come 2 hrs later apparently they're 2 mins down our street!! We got another emergency plumber to come and stop leak. Then came next day... to give us a quote for replacing the water heater. They wasted half our day and no quote ever came in. We called them on Dec 30th about it, they said you'll receive it in minutes and again no quote ever came it. Highly unreliable. Stay away.

Our shower was backing up and we needed service asap. Giovanni did the job fast and Arlene was helpful in keeping us updated on when the plumber would arrive and made sure we were happy with the service. I definitely was.

Not sure what the "one star" folks experienced, but our technician Kirk was terrific. My issue was on a Saturday, and they didn't charge extra for a weekend call out. Kirk arrived within an hour of my initial call and took care of my problem. No worries. Definitely will use Preferred Plumbing again.

Had a plugged sewer line, called them and a tech was here in an hour. The problem was fixed in a hour and no problems since.
Had a water leak and the tech was here in a timely manner and pipe was repaired quick. Would use them again and I have recommended them. First rate company.

The team working for Lafayette/Walnut Creek area is terrible !!! My clogging problem is still not property diagnosed and fixed after more than 3 weeks. They sent an unexperienced junior who could not get the job done and came back next day with a senior who fixed non related part, then confirmed all cleared to collect $1,200 but having a same problem right next day. Called so many times to get another visit after more than 1 week while shower/toilet clogging continues. Camera was done, verbally diagnosed and promised the report within 2 days. The report did not come as promised and followed up with 6 different calls. They continuously broker their promise, to return the call, sending the estimate and just putting me hold for easily 20-30 minutes. Looks like they have serious management problems not having enough experienced plumbers with bad attitude customer service in the back side, except those ladies in the front end who are nice and kept promises) VERT DISAPPOINTED!!

Had the pleasure of meeting Benjamin Williams when we had an issue with our plumbing. He was professional in getting the problem fixed and didn’t hesitate to clean up after even though we didn’t have a mop to give him. After it was all finished he made sure to walk through everything with us before we signed off. Quick and efficient! Thank you again.

I've been using Preferred Plumbing and Drain for over 10 years. I appreciate their timely response to my plumbing problems, can count on same day service, and their Technicians professional demeanor. Their willingness to explain the problem and discuss preventative maintenance is helpful too. Eduardo came out to the house last and did not disappoint. This company has been frustrating to work with. I called for my mother's residence but she suspected she had COVID-19. Preferred Plumbing was kind at first about a no-contact solution to a very clogged toilet, but then kept changing their mind about when they could get onsite. They told me a reasonable rate at first, but when the technicians finally arrived two days later than originally promised, they quoted us $700 for the no-contact option. Very disappointing and even now, as of writing, the problem has not been solved after a week of plumbing difficulty.

Preferred Plumbing was Definitely heaven sent . They responded to my emergency need within minutes and to my front door even faster to complete an amazing job ! The service was five star quality and customer service was the complete best . Eduardo was the technician and entered my home with a great smile and ready to get the job done . All my plumbing worries were put to an end in a few hours . I would definitely recommend Eduardo and preferred plumbing to my family and friends . Thanks Preferred plumbing .

Preferred Plumbing And Drain came to my home because I had a gas leak and my pilot light would not work on my hot water heater they came on time they handle the job respectfully they were very clean and honest and I would have them work on my home again. tech 81 was great.
They also gave me a reasonable
Price for the work.

Plumber arrived on time and after a brief review of the problem(s) set out to work. He showed me the line was clear all the way to the mainline, however the standing water inside the poop pipe near the condo clean-out is problematic and the pipe may have a "belly" issue.

The service call was $155 which in my past home ownership experiences is very reasonable. Plus he offered $100 off the $350 video inspection that our family can use in the future for a full "inside the pipe diagnosis".

All in all, a very good experience :)

I had a serious leak in my shower that was adding up to a lot of wasted water and had to find someone quickly. I was lucky enough to find the Preferred Plumbing and Drain site and called them. A technician came out right away and diagnosed and quickly fixed the problem. He was just great and I was so relieved! I was also very happy with the price. I will only use them in the future and recommend them to anyone needing a plumber.

I can not believe the incredibly awful service I never received from these people. I must have been told 6 times a plumber was on his way, over the course of two days, for an emergency service. When someone (apparently) did show up, they claimed we weren't home (which wasn't true) and left. They never called to let us know they were here and they never reported it to their dispatcher. Then I finally get an actual appointment, and still no one shows up. I call and they tell me they had an emergency plumbing situation. I was an emergency situation and why didn't anyone call me to let me know the plumber couldn't make the appointment? She said and I quote "oh, you're just residential and this was a business so they take priority." So basically, screw your appointment, we get more money from the company so you'll have to continue waiting. I finally found another company that was there within 20 minutes. Google does not make it easy to find direct plumbers. Get yellow pages!!

Preferred plumbing sent out Benjamin Williams to our Staples Store for a cleanup and diagnosis. He was the most professional plumber I have encountered in a while. From start to end he was courteous and explained exactly what he was going to do. He took a couple hours, finished the job and recommended a monthly visit to ensure the quality of his work. Would definitely recommend Benjamin and Preferred Plumbing to my family and friends.

On a weekend... always on a weekend something goes wrong. Called a company and a price (which seemed high) I agreed to and they would be out within 6 hours. Called a few others who were all willing to come out next week... then a BIG company quoted a real low price and when they showed up... multiply it by 20. This was a simple drain clean!
Then I remembered years ago... PREFERRED PLUMBING. Canceled first call and Preferred showed up within the hour. EMPLOYEE was young but real smart. Price very reasonable. I have some other work that needs done and will do business with them

I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY!
I purchased a new kitchen faucet which this company installed. One year and a week later i noticed a leak. My receipt clearly states that I have a year warranty. The company stated that they can only give me a 10% discount because the warranty that was given was in error. They would only honor a 90 warranty. I originally called to see if they would be nice enough to honor my one year warranty due to me being 9 days over the warranty that was promised. Well, in fact they were not willing to honor not only the one year warranty but would have only honored a 90 day warranty. Im not upset with this company, but I will NEVER use them again! I highly recommend everyone that own property to go to American Home Shield. They have affordable monthly subscriptions and the service is amazing.

Preferred Plumbing caused damage to my apartment and has not resolved the issue after several months.

Late last year, they sent an inexperienced plumber to repair my upstairs neighbor's bathroom. Instead of repairing the issue, he flooded the bathroom and Preferred Plumbing let the water stand overnight before sending another plumber to fix things. The water leaked into my unit and left water damage in my ceiling.

When I reached out to them to resolve the issue, they promised to send a plumber and never followed up.

Do not use this plumber since they may create more problems for you and your neighbors.

This company cares about people. In these crazy times I was concerned about a plumbing emergency. With this company, it couldn't have been a better experience. They responded quickly and sent Matthew to help us. He was kind, effective and efficient. The words emergency and plumber in the same sentence was scary. Preferred prices were amazing. We are so relieved to know they are there if we have any plumbing needs. Thank you Matthew and Alexis. Keep up the good work.

They had great rates. They were able to come out and fix some pipes that were under our house without any problems. The tech was super friendly and professional. Good prices and happy with the overall outcome of their work. I would recommend this company!
