Technician went ahead and did the work without first telling me the cost of it, or my consent .He was at my place to give an estimate only.
The price he charged once the work was done was too high.
While he did clear the drain, he left the sink leaking.
To complete the work he gave a way too high estimate!!!$$$$$
Will never use them again!

My sewer line backed up and Mega Rooter was quick to come to my rescue. Older home, drain pipes deteriorated and collapsed. They ran all new sewer drain pipe. I had water back very quickly and at a great price. I highly recommend this company for any of your plumbing needs. Professional, prompt, left all clean. Parked in front of fire hydrant for hours at a time, blocking in community residents' cars in the process. Do that again and you'll get towed.

After a questionable experience before this one, we wanted to give them another chance. We'd used them before with no problems, but recently their service quality has changed. We unexpectedly had our toilet backing up into the shower. We have clean out drains in the front, so it's usually a quick job for them. We were quoted 2 hours. After 2 hours passed, we called back and were told they'd be here within 30 minutes. We waited 2 more hours, and tried repeatedly to call and our calls were immediately forwarded to voicemail. This company is now completely unreliable. If you're having plumbing issues and want to make sure someone is actually going to show up, I strongly suggest using ANOTHER company. Even if they got too busy, they could've communicated that to us at anytime, but chose to just ignore our calls and not respond to us.

Scary tactics and pressure! I will not be hiring MegaRooter again. Multiple complaints, but the biggest issues were #1. mandatory to have a restoration and drywall safety crew come out to verify it was safe for them to perform work within the home, even though the tenants nor 2 other plumbers mentioned any water damage, no visible mold but pressed about the water damage to drywall. Then continued to press after declining in front of my tenants "making sure its a safe environment for your tenants and us" - what is that?! #2. Tech was called to reem/snake drainage through cleanout, but called about removing the p-trap under sink and water damage, completely different that what I called for? Then didn't seem to be able to read where the drainage lines ran and that he could snake up from the garage cleanout, which you cannot due to the long-Y-design of that particular ABS part. And pressing 3 different times about "hydro-jetting". I have worked with many plumbers, most-unprofessional experience I have had!

The guys from Mega Rooter were very professional and knowledgeable. Not to mention they did an already difficult job, while it was pouring rain outside. I would wholeheartedly recommend these guys to anyone needing basic plumbing needs all the way up to replacing entire drainage systems. Definitely worthwhile.

I would recommend Mega Rooter to anyone who needs help with their plumbing issues. Luis took the time to help us understand the problem before doing any work. Once we agreed on the cost, they started the work within an hour. Excellent Service!!!

This is a bait and switch operation! They sent me 2 estimates and at the time of approving the work switched to a higher one. After much discussion and talking to someone named Armando they agreed to refund the difference between the higher and lower estimates (both were way too high I now believe). Now their latest invoice is billing me for the difference! Are they incompetent, shady or both! DO NOT use this company!

This company came out and did more damage than repair. The technician left our home covered in water and mud damaged our floors that were no where near the bathroom that they were called out to look at. They ran a jetter to clear the clog even though they claimed they could not camera the drain to verify where the clog was and in turn complete collapsed the cast iron pipe. If you have an older home do not use this company as they have no knowledge of cast iron.

When we tried to ask for a report that listed repairs needed they ignored me and lied several times.

Horrible service and totally unprofessional company. They took advantage of the fact that my mom is elderly and I am female. With no men in the home they created more issues that will cost thousands of dollars to fix.

I had the misfortune of needing emergency plumbing services twice within the same month. The first time it was a Saturday night and Mega Rooter Plumbing said they would be there within 45mins, when the 7 other 24 hour plumbers that I spoke to prior were not available until Monday. Luis came ready to work and the job was completed within a couple of hours. Fast forward 2 weeks later on a holiday no less and another unrelated issue came up and again, these guys came through. Miguel was quick to arrive and worked to give me the best deal possible, while also making sure that we didn’t sacrifice on quality.

When these guys say 24/7 service they mean it.

Bottom line, Mega Rooter Plumbing is responsive and reliable.

Despite having tried to schedule service in advance, they apparently didn't actually schedule me which I found out when I called in 2 hours after my appointment time. However, they did get someone out that same day and they offered me a small discount for the snafu. They cleared up the drain clog very quickly and I am satisfied with the service.

They charged me $1800 to do a plumbing job that took 2.5 hours and about $30 in materials. That prices out at $700 an hour. This company is a serious rip off. I will never use them again and I recommend everyone to do the same! I'm a general contractor working all over San Diego and like to support local companies in the area I am working. I will not support any company that is out to rip off there new customers or any customer.

These guys were able to diagnose 3 problems that were happening at the same time. Serious issues with prior bad plumbing from other companies. Super fast, super experienced, and super professional. If you have older roof access trapvents call these guys, most plumber today are too scarped to get on the roof and do the work that needs to get done.

The waste pipe below my house was old cast iron and bottomed out. It was severely leaking and the dirt in the crawl space below my house was saturated. Luis and Jesus replaced all the cast iron below my home and installed a new clean out. Very satisfied and relieved. The two young plumbers were very hard working and respectful and clean. Appreciated their hard work.

Luis and I spoke at 7pm. He assured someone would be her in an hour i called at 8pm and he then assured someone would come its now 9pm i called again and he said I don't have anyone to go. Loius could have mentioned this instead of having me wait. Please dont allow him to waste your time like he did to me. Look for someone reliable and honest.

They did a sewer hydro jet cleaning that they charged $1260. It plugged up again a week later. Called someone else, they charged $200 for the exact same thing. I was also told I would get a video of the sewer pipe via thumb drive or email. That did NOT occur, emailed them back. Almost 1 week since I asked about the video, no reply. I will NOT use them again. I felt ripped off of $1000.00 after using someone else to jet it the second time.

I called Mega Rooter on a Sunday morning for a plumbing problem and Luis sent Alex and his team out asap. Alex was very honest and I felt comfortable with him taking on this job. His team worked through the evening on Sunday and then came back early Monday and the rest of the week to finish the job. Alex worked in the rain and any little hiccup that came up, he fixed right away. They made this nightmare bearable. Thank you Alex for your great work.

Miguel was extremely professional. I was able to call the office on a weekend and have someone out to our home within a little over an hour. Miguel talked us through each step which included quotes before he did the work of unclogging a drain; the quote was very reasonable.
I highly recommend MegaRooter. We will be a repeat customer the next time we need a plumber.

We had a leak somewhere that resulted in an $800 surprise water bill. We called Mega Rooter for their leak detection & repair services. Turns out it was the toilet tank assembly. The guy that first showed up seemed personable, knowledgeable and fixed the assembly quickly.

Within a few days, the toilet assembly stopped working. We called them to come back and that's when the horribly unprofessional behavior started.

First they said they'd be here Monday night between 6 & 7pm. At 7:45 we had to call them and they called us back to say they couldn't make it. UGH!

So they rescheduled for Tue between 10a & Noon. Well, after a few calls (TO THEM- they didn't call us to let us know they weren't going to arrive on time) Jesus finally showed up at 2:40pm. He fiddled with the assembly and called it good. I asked him to replace it if there was even a chance of it breaking down again, since they appear to be very unreliable on warranty work and he said he'd charge us for it again if he replaced it. I explained that it's really important to me to have them arrive on time because I have a tight schedule, even working from home and my experience has not been great with them. He point blank said "I don't care, you'll have to call the boss." and walked out the front door.

I was SPEECHLESS. We'll NEVER, EVER, EVER use these guys again.
