The McMaster team did a great job throughout the entire project of replacing two full HVAC systems. The owner (Ron) provided my quote and was active in multiple back and forth emails to ensure I had all my questions answered before I even committed to the project as I was receiving other quotes. Alexis and Josie gave great support for scheduling and communicated frequently with me about next steps, and the install team led by Jaime showed up and got setup before the scheduled appointment time so they were ready to get to work on time. All of the installers were very friendly, respectful of me and my house, and were clearly experienced and competent. They even resolved an issue that popped up with my existing wiring and thermostat and ensured I was happy with all the work completed. I am very happy with the installation and look forward to continuing to work with McMaster for regular service appointments to maintain the system.

I reached out to get 6 different quotes from 6 different local air conditioning companies and after the first meetings I was quickly able to narrow down my search to just two companies. the bad companies were really bad when compared to the two that were in the running which included McMaster Heating and Air. I decided to try to use both Home Depot and Costco to see if they were a good option and let's just say they were the biggest scammers who almost doubled the rate I received and used high pressure tactic's. I am a seasoned sales person and I would not wan those people anywhere near my mom or grandmother.

I was open to using gas or electric and I decided to take a chance on electric vis gas because I had solar and power walls that could keep me going in the event of a power outage. It did require that I added a dedicated 220 in my attic where the furnace was location and they did it without needing to add any wires on the outside of the house (important to me).

Installation took just 1-day and they had their whole team working together like a well oiled machine. The quality of the work was impeccable and they were kind and used booties coming in and out of the house. They even brought a wench to get the old air conditioner out so they could put the new one in. I needed to use my neighbors yard to wench it over the wall and zero issues given how well staffed the job was.

After everything was installed there were two additional issues they set up for me. Something called a HERS report that is required now in the state of CA where an inspector comes out to make sure that everything was installed properly and the air is blowing within specs and the items that were installed were the ones I paid for. Afterwards they also scheduled the city inspector to come out who was only here for about 30-mins while he confirmed things like the 220 dedicated power in the attic was indeed dedicated power.

Lastly they also set up and did the paperwork for me to make sure that I get the remaining rebates back from the government given I selected the higher cost but more efficient electric option. Overall I could not be more impressed with the team, and the owner who talks like Sam Elliott. When I met the owner it pushed me over the opt and I knew that I needed to work with them. He was kind and trusting and assured me that everything was going to be OKI. They were not the cheapest or the most expensive and there pricing was right in the middle. Going to rate them 5 stars and hope I can work with them again.

Within an hour of requesting an estimate to replace my aging A/C, Ron, the owner arrived at my home. He assessed the situation and within a few hours, he emailed me a very reasonable quote. I agreed, and the unit was installed later that week, by Al and Dillon, Couteous, knowledgeable and efficient. A very positive experience. Thank you.

I needed a new HVAC system in a rental property and my friend referred me to McMaster. I got 3 quotes and Ron's (McMaster) was the most competitive for the exact same equipment. The price was obviously an important factor, but the responsive communication from the office (Ron, Josie & Alexis) made working with them super easy. Installation went off with out a hitch - the crew kept everything clean and explained how to use the system before they left. Im definitely happy with McMaster and know who Im going to call when my HVAC needs replacement.

I spoke with Sasha to schedule our service, he was very knowledgeable and professional. Our technician came out the next day and was wonderful, informative and clean. We have an old system, but it still seems to work ok. I didn't feel like they tried to sell us anything we didn't need and they seem very honest and reasonably priced. We highly recommend them!

These guys know their stuff! They're professional, courteous, and informative! We had no problem making an appointment with them, and they called beforehand to confirm. They helped my husband and I understand our AC/heating unit, giving us a leg up as new homeowners. Definitely would recommend!

American Home Shield assigned Starlight to tune up my two ACs. Sasha contacted me in less than one hour via email, phone and text to schedule an appointment - the following day! Sebastian came during the 3 hour window, did a thorough inspection, patiently answered my questions, and was very professional from beginning to end. I had a wonderful experience and highly recommend them!

I was referred to Starlight through my home warranty company. They came out and they were quick to identify “the problem” and inform me that the cost of repair would likely be higher than the cost of replacement. When the warranty company turned down the replacement due to the repair they recommended only have a price point below $100 they then decided that they couldn’t help and claimed they were unable to make the repair or provide any referrals yo companies that could make the repair. It seems like they decided if the repair wasn’t going to multiple thousands of dollars of work it wasn’t worth their time anymore. Extremely disappointed in their professionalism. Would never recommend using them.

Happy with the service, they fixed my heater and installed a new Nest thermostat, which I love. Their prices are good, customer service is excellent, it was easy to schedule and they called prior to coming as well. Definitely recommend  Starlight HVAC to others. I’ll have them return before summer to do maintenance on my Air Conditioning system as well.

We have American Home Shield home warranty and in the past, the service companies they send out end up costing us much more than the $100 service fee due to upcharges and finding items not covered under the contract. We received great service from Starlight... from calling and making an appt. to Vetalli repairing our furnace. He called when he was on his way and even though the furnace is 20 years old, he did not try to upsell the need for a new one. One part and it's working great! I would definitely recommend this company.

Very friendly and polite guys. They respond to messages right away. Had them fix my AC recently through my home warranty plan. I like that they call in advance, because I wasn't home but rushed right over to meet them. They were able to determine the issue and repaired my AC, which was great because it broke down in the middle a heat wave. I think they are honest, signed up for a maintenance contract with them. Definitely recommend!!!

Most horrible contractor I have ever worked with. Avoid if possible. Very poor customer experience with the "technician" named Vitalii.
This technician came up with hasty and incorrect diagnosis of the HVAC/thermostat issue I'm facing, and keep complaining about the situation in stead of trying to fix it. (I don't know if the guy is having a bad day or something). When I was respectfully pointing out the incorrectness of his diagnosis, i.e., the thermostat has no battery in it, and the 4-wire configuration has been working fine using an adapter at the furnace side, the technician was rude enough to say something like "if you know about it all, why don't you fix it?".
I have never worked with a contractor so unprofessional before. Please do yourself a favor and avoid this company.

They called me soon after I requested AC service. They showed up on time, called in advance. Both gentlemen who showed up were very polite, did a thorough diagnosis, and explained what the issue was. I was very pleased with the repair, will definitely keep them on my contractors list, recommend to everyone. They seem like honest and respectful guys.

I’m not sure if it’s incompetence or that they don’t want to get their hands dirty and perform a job, but the technician Vitalii who came to my house gave an inaccurate diagnosis of my A/C problem. He stated because my A/C unit doesn’t have a separate shut off fuse box it caused my capacitor to burn out and any other damage which he didn’t check. The truth of the matter is, my electrical control panel is on the side of my house directly in line of sight with my A/C unit with a clear label on the breaker switch for the A/C unit. By this faulty assessment the company sent to American Home Shield home warranty, they said they won’t cover the repairs. I am beyond upset at the dishonesty and incompetence of this company that I hope no one uses them again. I will make further complaints to other entities regarding Starlight and American Home Shield. I strongly recommend that you do not do business with either.

Sebastian did both HVAC maintenance through American Home Shield and he came back to install a digital thermostat. He texted me to let me know when he would arrive and I could also track his ETA via their website, which was terrific. Sebastian took the time to answer my questions about out HVAC system and the best proactive maintenance. I found him to be professional, courteous and patient. I will defiantly call Starlight for additional work as needed. Thanks !

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I received service through them, through my home warranty. Their technician, needed to replace my A/C drain line, and did a poor job. They almost left without addressing a leak further down the drain line, and I had to tell them to look at it before they repaired it. Afterwards, I sent them a message to show them that I was concerned with the repair. The CS rep, literally told me, "We do not guarantee our work...please do not call us again," and they hung up on me. How are they even in business. 0/5

Starlight came out through my home warranty protection plan. They guys were on time and called in advance, which I really appreciate. They were able to fix my leaking evap coil. Also repaired my wiring, and even though that wasn't covered by my home warranty plan, they gave me a good price and I was happy with the end result. Definitely recommend to other home owners.

I had a really bad experience with another company dispatched from our home warranty company, who never came back to install a new a fan for our AC which wasn't providing cold air . Starlight HVAC was dispatched next, and they were awesome. Technician Vitalii showed up 15 minutes early for the appointment, were courteous and asked if they should take their shoes off, diagnosed a faulty fan, returned in next day with the new part, and we were back to normal. Really good guys who did a great service.
