Gary and his team came out to my condo and did an entry door repair/realignment job. Although the job was small, it was an important one for me because the weatherstripping was not working properly anymore, the door was not aligned with the frame any longer due to building settling. Gary and his team did a super job, they solved my problem with little bugs getting in. They were very professional, extremely pleasant to talk with, cleaned up their work. Gary came back after they had finished and went over everthing with a fine tooth comb. I would not hesitate to hire him again for future remodeling work that I have in mind. Thanks again Gary for helping me with this!!

They were a great team to work with. We needed to replace all 14 of our windows and a sliding door. They went over all our options discussing pros and cons of frame material and manufacturer. Once we decided was the right option in terms of efficiency, durability and cost, it was a short wait for all the windows to be made then installation only took 2 days. We had other projects going on at the same time and they worked great with other contractors.

We had a great experience with Modern Construction Group. We got 12 windows and 2 sliders replaced and they did an excellent job. We had spoken with several companies but instantly felt like we were in good hands with Gary. He was straightforward, knowledgeable, friendly, flexible, and a great communicator. We just hoped his bid would come back reasonable and it certainly did! The installers did an excellent job too. They worked hard and you could tell they take pride in their work. They far exceeded our expectations in how great this turned out.

Modern construction made our window installation Very easy and quick. Gary the owner came out to give us a quote and was very nice and professional. Within 3 days we had a date scheduled and Tim the installer came out to do the work and was very knowledgeable and professional. He explained everything he was going to and was very thorough. We are very happy with the work. Would definitely use again and definitely recommend them.

MCG repaired my siding, roof trim, window trim, and added Vulcan Gable Vents for fire safety. Their crew worked hard all day long and cleaned up each day. At the completion of the job, all areas were done with quality workmanship and sealed properly to prevent weather damage. Their price was more reasonable than other bids that I had obtained. I would work with them again on any future projects.

We had a wonderful experience with Gary and his team in replacing our siding, windows, and insulation. We had heard about them from other people we knew, and when making the final decision, we saw the incredible reviews all over for Modern, helping us solidify our decision. Gary was prompt, courteous, and professional from the first estimate through the completion of the project. He responded to questions about the estimate and final questions before making the decision, and communication is a big thing for us. The team who actually completed the project had all the same positive attributes.

Perhaps the most amazing part was that the team stayed on the promised schedule, even with a holiday and the heat being above 110 every day they were working on the project. They showed up on time every day to make sure the project was done.

In addition to the heat, there was an issue with the windows being delayed in arriving from the manufacturer. Gary advocated for us to do all he could to get us the windows as quickly as possible (originally they were going to be 3 days late, but after he spoke with the powers that be, he got it bumped down to only 1 day late). One window even got delivered to the wrong place, and he did what he could to track it down and get it to us as soon as he could.

We also had to address some electrical tasks during this project, some of which were very much intertwined with the work Gary was doing, and Gary worked well in coordinating with our electrician.

Lastly, when the project was essentially done and Gary did the walkthrough, he kept his same work ethic and attention to detail. Throughout the project he was very interested in the big picture of the final project. During the walkthrough, he addressed everything we wanted fixed, no matter how small, and even found some items he added to his list that we did not notice, wanting to make sure nothing was left undone.

For big projects like this, you want the job done well and someone easy to work with, which is what Gary and his team offer. We would easily do other work with him, and give more stars if possible.

We hired Modern Construction to replace our door with a modern glass door. The work was completed professionally and right on budget. We love our new door, thank you Modern Construction!

Gary and his crew did a great job at my 30 year old house in Auburn. They installed Hardie Board siding, ember-proof Vulcan vents and a metal and wood fence. These changes should help protect the house if there were ever a wildfire in the area. In addition, they look great! Gary offered excellent advice during the project and was always available to answer questions. The crew members were knowledgeable and worked hard. Thanks to all of them for all that they did.

The core of Gary’s credo is to provide the highest quality of work & total customer satisfaction which he proved to us completely. We needed work on our three story house; paint, siding, dry rot work & new windows. We met with Gary one morning & by afternoon we received a quote that was all-encompassing which included detailed description of the scope of work with pictures, description of products to be used & price. His team was polite & extremely hard working from 8am to 5:30 pm six days a week. Work was never delayed because of another customer. We were always treated as a priority. Gary came out everyday to check on work & if we had any questions. If anything was not done to our satisfaction, Gary would see to it that it was changed - without any contention. They also did extra work that was not listed in the scope of work like extra molding or repairs because Gary believes in doing quality work, not what expedient for them. He always puts the customer first. Our house is beautifully done thanks to Modern Construction. Plus Gary will come back six months later to see if all the work is still to our satisfaction! We found Modern randomly online and gave them a call late on a Sunday afternoon. Gary answered and was at our door at 8:00 am the next day. We ultimately went with Modern because of the great price and the customer service. That prompt, professional service was carried on through the entire 3 week project. It included James Hardy siding on 90% of the house, in both lap and Board and Batten for a cool design element. They also replaced 30+ windows. The attention to detail, work ethic (they usually worked 10 hours a day) and great communication made it the very best experience possible. I cannot recommend Modern strongly enough. You will not regret working with them.
