The rep (Brian Crane) was very helpful in explaining the different options and helped me find exactly what I needed, he wasn't pushy when I asked for a couple days to think over the purchase of a new roof. The company is professional and has the longest history in Sacramento area. Would recommend them if your in need of a roof or repairs.

We are doing a major master bedroom bathroom remodel and working with Scott. He has been fantastic in helping us through the design and material selection. What I appreciate most is the excellent communications we have had. He is easy going, a good listener, very knowledgeable, on time for appointments, and great at follow-up. Yancey Home Improvements has been around a long time and extremely reputable. We claim this because it has been about 20 years since they replaced our roof, including some necessary dry rot repair. Now, here we are this 20 years later and we are working with them again.
Working with BRIAN SPEAKS has been easy and enjoyable. We orig bought a roof with a 30 year warranty which now becomes a 50 year warranty. He is working with us to file a warranty claim with GAF and to engage in a new roofing contract.
We appreciate his quick responses, clear communication, and helpful knowledgable information and assistance along the way.
We will review again once the project gets underway. Very happy so far.

March 2025 I attended the Lodi Home Show as my husband's company (Palisade Fence) had a booth there. I stopped and talked to Brian at the Yancey Company booth (to pick his brain) as I had recently received a quote from another company to fix our gutter as a section was pulling away from our roof.
That quote was for $425.00.
Brian thought that quote was high and offered to come out and look at it. He arrived a few days later, noted the orginal screws were too small and reattached our gutter with screws that were at least double in size.
Guss what? He did not not charge me.....unbelievable!
Reminds me of Emigh Hardware Store on customer service...if you know what I am talking about...you know.

Brian Crane came to our home a few years to give us an estimate on our roof, but we were unable to move forward with the project. My wife and I had such a pleasant experience with him the first time, we wanted him to come back, so we can move forward with our project. He is very professional, knowledgeable, and polite. He made the process smooth.

I would give Yancey six stars if I could! They are truly top notch. They recently completed a large roofing project on two duplexes I manage in Carmichael. I wanted it done right and talked with five roofing companies before picking Yancey. I worked with Brian Crane on the estimate, and Max as my project manager. They were both very knowledgeable, responsive, and great to work with throughout. Very solid team of top professionals. Their pricing was also very competitive, which was refreshing given the premium quality of the work. I will definitely work with Yancey for all my future roofing needs!

We had Yancey company do a complete roof replacement. Very, very happy with the work and the guys they had to do the work. Stripping the whole roof was about four hours putting the new roof on with gutter guards and ridge vents was a lot of work. They even covered the roof because of rain prediction. Every day end of the day they cleaned up their entire mess completely blew off the patio around the side of the house. The guys were great. The roof is great. The office worked really well. I have been a contractor in Sacramento for over 40 years and the Yancey company has always done a great job.

Brian Speaks was amazing! His bid came in lower than the 3 others I reached out to with much better guarantees! He worked with my schedule to come out and sign contracts and made everything super easy and really took time to explain it all! Would very much recommend!

For at least five miles while heading east on Highway 50 between Howe Avenue and Bradshaw Road on February 5, 2025, I personally observed and recorded on my dash camera this employee of Yancey Home Improvements, Inc., recklessly weave the company car he was driving across several lanes of traffic, without even signaling his intentions to surrounding drivers, while driving at least 80 mph in the 55 mph work zone clearly marked for everyone to see. I took this photo at the Bradshaw exit off Highway 50 as we were waiting to turn left onto Bradshaw. As you can see, the driver isn't even sitting in the car like an alert, responsible driver. Instead, he looks like he's laying back in the car playing a video game. If I was his boss, I'd be calling this employee into my office to answer for his misuse of company time and equipment to endanger both himself and other drivers.

Yancey was awesome to work with. My estimator was Brian Speaks, and he made the entire experience simple and enjoyable for us. There was no high pressure sales, and Brian went out of his way to make sure we got exactly what we wanted and needed. His pricing was fair, and he helped us get financing right on the spot. If I would provide more than 5 stars, I would.

Brian Crane, estimator for Yancey has been very thorough. His explanations are easily understood and he has been very patient with my questions. His bids are very close to the other companies but his explanations have been more thorough and complete. Incidentally a dear friend just had a new roof completed by Yancey Home Improvements and they have been very pleased with all aspects of their roofing job and gave them a high recommendation too. I need a new walk-in shower to replace the old one that has a leak in its floor. I spoke with numerous contractors and got bids from three experienced contractors including Yancy. The proposals featured different options, but Yancy's proposal focused on tying the new shower in with the rest of the existing bathroom. Scott, Yancy's representative, walked through the various choices we needed to make and went over the paper -- hard copy -- contract at a table in his office explaining each provision. The surprise was that Yancy's bid was several thousand dollars less than the two others.

Yancy has not started the project, so I will provide a follow-up review on its performance . But so far so great.

Thomas helped me today while I was getting multiple bids, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. When it was his turn, he took the time to start from the beginning and walk me through the company’s history, which really gave me peace of mind. We hired Yancey to replace our roof and replace our A/C with a new heat pump. After 30 day and no dates set for any of the work, and very little contact (had to fight tooth and nail to get answers) then all of a sudden being told we would have to replace our braker box, would have been fine if this was said during initial inspection, not 30 days after!!. We decided to cancel and find a company that kept us updated and followed through with what they promised. So happy we moved on from Yancey!!
