This is my 3rd time using Ace Plumbing and again, had an okay experience. Patrick the technician showed up 10 minutes early, was professional, personable and very tidy. He did a bit of troubleshooting and after changing out the cartridge to a new one that we provided and the touch sensor, had the faucet back up and running. Less than an hour after after he left we noticed dripping under the sink, so we phoned him and asked him to come back. He did about 2 hours later, but then stopped not 5 minutes in because he remembered he “had another call”, he promised to return the next day and left. The following day he messaged from another job site that he was “not going to be able to make it today” and could we schedule for another day. That really didn’t sit well, we had already been without a kitchen faucet for 5 days. After phoning Ace, they asked if another technician would be okay and we said yes. Jeff arrived and got to work. He determined that Patrick had over tightened the cartridge and broke it. We had to order a new one ($60) , so we did and it arrived 2 days later. Finally, on the third return trip attempt, Jeff was able to finesse the new cartridge in so that it fit as it was supposed to, with no leaks. Jeff was great, very personable, friendly and very patient in working with the new cartridge and making sure we had no leaks. It wasn’t the best experience with Ace if I’m being honest, but both technicians were very nice. We were also given a break on the pricing, so at least that was something. And the faucet works fine again.

My water heater suddenly stopped working and I called Ace Plumbing since they received good reviews and Ive seen their vans around the neighborhood. They were able to send someone out right away, within 30 mins on a Saturday afternoon! Unfortunately for me, it was a unique issue that required me to replace my water heater but Ace took care of it! After going out to get the new water heater, Dominic came back and finished the replacement within an hour and a half. I did have to call them back out to properly connect my radiant system but they did that quickly and free of charge. It wasn’t cheap at $2600 but they gave me a small discount and the quick service and peace of mind was well worth the money.

Joel at Ace Plumbing & Rooter arrived right on time for the appointment and was very professional. He explained the needed repairs clearly and thoroughly, which I really appreciated. I’m looking forward to having them complete the work. Highly recommend!

Our water heater turned off. Josiah came out relit it and it's been fine since. He went into detail to explain to me how to do it if it happens again. Cordial, hard working young man. Then I showed him an old water pipe in our backyard that needed to be repaired. He did it and now it works again and looks much better that the old pipe from 1950's build. Great company. Will continue to use them when needed. Honest and straight forward. Five stars!!!

Kenner was very timely, professional, and friendly. He was open to really digging into what was happening with my water heater in order to get it to work. I never felt pushed for extra time, or cost, and he was very upfront with recommendations on what would be most economical. Overall I would recommend him in particular since that's all the experience I have. Worth mentioning, Ace had someone at my place within a few hours!

One weekend, my husband accidentally drilled into our water line. Water everywhere! I called 3 plumbing places that couldn't have someone out till Monday or Tuesday. Being without water for a family of four was not going to be fun. I called Sean at Red Wrench Plumbing and he was on our doorstep in 15 min.! He fixed the drilled in pipe like new, and so quickly too!

Sean was fantastic. After contacting multiple plumbers and contractors regarding tricky inspection report for a condo conversion, Sean was the only one who was honest about the scope of work needed and what we had to do to pass inspection. For example, rather than recommend we replace all our water heaters like every other plumber did, he pointed out we could hire a HVAC company to replace the ducting which would save a lot of expense. And when the HVAC company fell short, he did some minor alterations to get us through the inspection. Plus he was extremely responsive and was able to schedule things for the next week. Would highly recommend.

My old stove had a gas leak and PGE shut it down and said I needed a plumber to address. I
called Sean and he came the next day and clearly explained my options. Because my stove was so old, I needed to move the gas line. Once I selected the new model he came before delivery to move the gas line to ensure I’d have the right setup. He even stopped by after delivery to make sure it was working! He was quick and kept me updated of timing. Very appreciative!

Sean is the best! We live in an old house that has a lot of "creativity" when it comes to plumbing. Before working on our place we spoke with a couple different plumbers, with opinions ranging from 'upgrade everything' to 'you're f'd.' It was refreshing to find Sean, who gave us straightforward and honest opinions. His work is flawless. We wouldn't use anybody else.

I had a bathroom sink that was not draining easily. So I asked Sean to take a look at it to resolve the problem. In less than two minutes Sean had my problem resolved. Now my bathroom sink drains well. Sean truly is the best plumber that I have ever hired. He is the BEST!

Our garbage disposal broke a day and a half before we were scheduled to host the one giant dinner party we throw all year (yes, typical).

I called around (a few big shops and some local mom/pop shops) and no one had technicians available to help with such a short turnaround time. The usual response each and every time: our first appointment isn’t until next Wednesday afternoon, sorry. I was certain we wouldn't find someone in time to fix it. Well, Red Wrench Plumbing came to our rescue!!

I found Red Wrench through their glowing Yelp reviews and left a voicemail very late on a Thursday. I explained we were in a pinch and needed a fix or replacement unit before Saturday morning. The office manager called me back within 30 minutes to let me know that they didn't have availability but she would see if a technician could squeeze us in the next morning (Friday). She contacted Sean who was out on another call, no doubt saving another customer’s day. An hour later, Sean rang me to ask about the issue, provide a ball-park estimate depending on the problem I had described, and schedule an appointment for the very next morning.

Sean went out of his way (really, they normally don’t provide service in our SF neighborhood) and did so with a smile. As the appointment window approached, he called me prior to arrival to notify me that he was on his way and to make sure it was still a convenient time. He arrived right when promised and diagnosed the problem immediately (same problem our landlord said it was). Sean replaced our defective garbage disposal and made sure everything was in good working order. He asked me to contact him if we had any trouble with the installation.

After the appointment, I needed to follow up with Sean due to additional requests that my landlord had (a second copy of the invoice, proof of purchase, and warranty for the new system). I hated to bug him, but Sean replied immediately to my request and sent me the required paperwork the very next day. The new unit came with a 2 year warranty and Sean threw in additional 3 years of service (parts and labor) to cover the system if anything ever happened to it.

I have been using Sean the plumber now for almost 6 years. I have never had any problems with him, or his work. His integrity is as strong as his work ethic. Sean always explains in detail of what the problem is, and how long it will take, and how much it will cost, and also gives alternative options, witch can be a plus if you are budgeting.

This is a first-rate business, and I couldn't be happer to have found Red Wrench. Sean has twice helped me with projects that other plumbers could not figure out, and he really is an expert trouble-shooter. He re-routed interior piping that was impeding an remodel, on an earlier visit, he also installed an elegant outdoor watering station that also looks great. His estimates are more than fair. Prompt, on-time, great results, and very knowledegable solutions. He is a very pleasant person to work with, as well! Don't hesitate to engage his services.

Red Wrench was awesome. I was replacing a faucet myself and could not remove the nuts holding it on after many tries. I called Red Wrench early in the day and asked for help. While many plumbers hate this sort of thing, Sean was able to stop by (that AM) and get the bolts off (had to break them off). Totally saved my butt and allowed me to continue my project.
