Jerry is a superstar he not only installed our unit in 2012 he has continued to be the only company who has provided consistent and honest service even when others can't.

We recently had our AC stop functioning, Jerry was booked for 24 hours so wasn't immediately available and because we were in a time crunch I had to try another technician... I instantly regretted this decision.... The tech diagnosed a failed blower, and either through willful deceit or ignorance didn't check the factory warranty. He advised me a local motor would cost $533 and could be installed next day, which I was happy to pay. Jerry feeling bad that he couldn't help did call me that same night and through a quick conversation I discovered that the motor should be a free warrantied replacement. When I called the technician back to advise him of this, he got very upset feeling as if I was going around him. Sufficit to say, Jerry made some time the next afternoon to help us out, and we were back up and working to avoid dealing with 116 degree all-time recorded temps in El Cajon. I can't say enough good things, honest hardworking people a hard to come by!

Our A/C went out on Sat night of Labor Day weekend when it got up to 100 degrees in our area. After I tried 5 companies from Angie’s List with no response, a friend recommended I try HVAC Medic. We have a medically vulnerable person in my household, and it was already up to 90 degrees inside on Sunday, so we couldn’t just wait until Tues. for the repair. I called and Jerry told me he’d get someone out on Sunday. His team was busy with calls, so he ended up taking the time to come out himself. He was able to jump start our A/C to work temporarily, but had to wait until after the holiday to get a part for a full repair. The jump start got us through the worst of the heat, then they came out when they had the part and did quick and quality work of a full repair and cleaning of our unit. Cooling better than it has in a long time! No charge for the visit on Sunday and a fair price for the full repair. I will definitely recommend HVAC Medic and use them again!

We used this service three times in a span of 3 weeks and I can't recommend them more! Our old AC unit was over 35 years old, which they repaired twice before it completely conked out. They gave us a quote for a new unit and had it installed within a week.

Alex and his team are incredibly respectful, efficient and knowledgeable. Alex communicated with us throughout the entire repair and installation process and made my fiance and I feel really included in the process and gave us more understanding about what to expect with our AC unit in the future.

They are our go to and most recommended HVAC technicians, as with their prompt service and quality, there is no need for us to shop around.

Fantastic service!! Called Anderson Heating and Air to come out and repair an issue I had with my A/C and heating unit not connecting with my thermostat and was told they couldn’t have a tach come out for at least 3 days. I called HVAC immediately afterward and Jerry (I believe his name was) answered the phone instantly and told me he could have his tech out in the next 15 MINUTES. The tech came as promised and made quick work of the issue with my transformer and had my Google Nest up and running within a half hour. Would HIGHLY recommend HVAC medic and will definitely call them first if I have an issue in the future.

Talk about honesty..... I received two estimates requiring I have HVAC units installed for approximately $8,500 and $7,200 respectively. I was prepared to purchase a new unit. I contacted HVAC Medic and then Alex one of the owners of HVAC Medic arrived and cited that I only needed a new thermostat for $280. In my 25 years working as a home improvement salesman and contractor, I never experienced the level of honesty exhibited by Jerry and Alex Vanderhyde. When my A/C and heat units finally do go out, you can bet they'll be my only call. Wow! Just Wow!

They sent out a repair person in less than 24 hours after receiving the work order, gave a very reasonable window of arrival time, and made sure to call me when the repair person was on the way.

The repair person, Junior, was polite and proficient. It’s always a little nerve wracking being home alone as a female when repair people have to be in the home, but Junior’s demeanor made me feel at ease. He fixed the issue and I’m so grateful!

I felt safe when the qualified specialist came to my house. The thermostat went in without a hitch, and my home is now much more comfortable.

It feels like waking up on a mountain, but inside! The ducts and vents are clean. The alteration was nice; now each space feels open. My system works better, and I can practically smell the outdoors. I prefer being inside more now that my house has taken a large breath.

Just got a new AC system for mom that was purchased from and installed by Straight Shooter. Gave me a next day quote and next day install. I would highly recommend this company. They were quick to respond and install the new system along with removing the old system which required cutting it apart in the attic. They gave us a good system price as well. They were clean and neat. I know this review sounds like it is fake but I assure you this install was just completed yesterday. This system came with a 10 yr parts and two year labor warranty.

I recently had my A/C replaced by Straight Shooter. I was extremely please with the experience from start to finish. Michael came in and did a very thorough evaluation of my setup. He recommended a system that was more appropriate for the size of my house as well as other areas of improvement to more evenly heat/cool my house. The installers, Dillon, Ray and Eric, were outstanding. They were very professional and really went out of their way to try to accommodate my preferences for new vent placement. Aaron was great! He was knowledgeable and thorough and explained his assessment every step of the way. Other big name companies wanted us to replace our AC unit. The unit is running just fine now. I'm so glad we called Straight Shooter.

Ray and Dylan were awesome install techs. They were very meticulous and clean. You would be lucky to have these two repair or install your HVAC system. I would also like to mention Jack who came out and scoped our house for new HVAC and was able to get us on the installation schedule within two days. Great customer service!

I recently contracted with Straight Shooter on a new heat pump water heater. It was a great experience. From my first meeting with Scott, the owner, who made some simplifying suggestions for my water heater electrical, to Kassandra's help with the incentives to Chuck and Ron who installed the unit to Ken who followed up with me on the operation of my new water heater, everyone was highly professional, responsive, genuine and courteous.
