Called Rod Johnson Air Conditioning to have our old/broken HVAC unit replaced, and they did a fantastic job. Dave Murphy came out today and handled the removal and installation process like a professional — clear communication and clean work. Dave went above and beyond to make sure we were happy and answered all of our questions before he left. Great work!

Review entered on behalf of my 90 yo mother... Rod Johnson tech came out to service her AC unit in late June before the July heatwave. (She was on a monthly service payment plan) Turns out that the Tech didn't clean the unit fins and fan, didn't change the filter and actually turned the fuses to 'off' position. So, why didn't he notice the AC not working when he turned it on in the house? Why did he leave when it wasn't working? Why didn't he do his job? So, when the heatwave hit, guess what? Mom has no AC. It would take more than a week for someone from Johnson to come back out. In the meantime, there's 100+ heatwave going on.
Called another company that arrived the next morning (July 4)and we saw first hand all the things that weren't done at all and the most puzzling was that the unit was actually turned off. We could not be more disgusted and disappointed by this. Our mind goes to all the 'what if's' and 'why's'. If I could give zero stars, I would. BTW, we weren't charged any 'holiday fee' for the service by this other company. We got educated on what's supposed to happen and what to look for on a bi- yearly service call. Rod Johnson failed miserably. Never going back.

Pierce and Alex were so professional. They took care of all my ventilation needs. These men were prompt, professional, on time, and answered all my questions. I 100% recommend these guys from Rod Johnson Air. Great guys. Thank you so much. You rock my socks.

I had the privilege of having Chris come to my home and a maintenance check on my system. He is an asset to the conpany being personable and informative. I would recommend this company for all geating and air conditioning services. Thank you very much Chris.

Don’t believe these reviews. Look on Yelp instead for a more accurate rating. The negative ratings of Rod Johnson there are numerous.

I’m 65 and have owned several homes for which I have contracted work including for hvac systems. Rod Johnson is by far the worst.

They sold me the wrong size hvac system, then put it in upside down. Then, One of their “technicians” on a regular maintenance visit didn’t know anything about the unit.

The last straw was when I waited two separate days for a technician and was stood up. Both times when I finally called I was told their technician had a breakdown on the freeway. Really? Twice in a row? Complete lie! They have shared with me on several occasions that they hired incompetent people.

The main problem with this place is that it was started and is currently run by salesmen instead of knowledgeable hvac technicians. They see their job as making a sale, any sale, rather than finding the right hvac system for the customer’s home.

Don’t buy from this company!!

Doing business with you guys was one of the best choices I ever made. The Technician Karen was able to pinpoint the problem of why my furnace was not working & got down to resolving it. You guys are a great company with many experienced Techs. I want to thank you guys, and Karen especially for doing a magnificent job.

Dave and Glen came into my home today to replace all of the ducting and AC unit, they were both very friendly and professional. the men let my husband and myself know all the information we wanted to know and were very forthcoming with the work they were doing. They are both two honest and hardworking. Thank you for keeping my family cool this summer.

Yong from Rod Johnson air was very professional and courteous. He took care of my mother when her system went down. Also, because we were under warranty, it was honored and we were not charged.

I had Anthony out to service my AC unit after it stopped working. He went above and beyond with the services. He explained everything throughly and clearly. He was able to get it working again in a timely manner. I would definitely recommend him for any HVAC services.

A big thank you to Billy and Glenn. They were the duo that installed my ac and furnace. These guys were professional and courteous. They responded professionally to my neighbor’s unjustified rude behavior towards them over a small matter. Will recommend their service 👍🏽

Tell your drivers to slow down on the freeway instead of using the shoulder as their own private passing lane drivers need to slow down in your company reckless endangering others it needs to stop

The guys at Rod Johnson did a great job with my HVAC installation. Dave and Billy were professional during the install and in the follow-up appointment and answered all my questions. Jose, the install manager, went above and beyond for the install. Everything went really well and I would highly recommend this company.

Two young gentleman, Pierce and Alex, came to repair the AC unit at my home recently. I work from home due to COVID-19 and was worried about any potential ruckus and disruption caused by the repair. However, these boys were very efficient, respectful, and clearly knowledgeable about their line of work. I was very impressed with their professionalism, punctuality, and expertise. I will most definitely be using their service again and if the other employees at Rod Johnson Air are anything like Alex and Pierce, I can assure you that you are in good hands.

Wonderful experience! Our heater stopped working during a cold spell and they were able to make an appointment for the same day we called. Basem was incredibly polite and knowledgeable about our heating unit. He was able to service and reset the unit and get it working immediately. We will be needing to have the whole system replaced in the next year our two and will definitely be going with Rod Johnson’s.

Yong Chen was so helpful and very informative. He shows interest on the job and asked if there's anything we need to know to maintain the heater. Very respectful and good customer service. Hope to have again next time.

I needed a whole house generator was referred by a friend to call Rod Johnson. Sales team was very helpful and professional.I neede it done ASAP They said the installation crew would be there tomorrow. Billy Thornton and I think his name was Glen, arrived on time ready to work . So very professional and customer service was on point . 5 stars and 2 thumbs up . Thanks Billy and his crew.

WARNING!!! Don’t be fooled by their fake positive reviews here on google. Read the REAL reviews on Yelp first…. (The ones here are 90% fake!! These guys are unethical and will rip you off and waste your time. Honestly… what A/C company has this many good reviews?? None! Because these are FAKE!! ) Here is my review: 8-16-21 - My elderly (74 years old) mothers A/C stopped working on 8-15 in the mid afternoon. I called to make a same day appointment but the couldn’t help us so we setup an appointment for the next day that was going to be 101 degrees outside. The appointment was for 1:30pm. My mom called me at 2:45 and said the house was getting really hot and she was feeling light headed. She wanted to know if they were on their way so I called immediately and the said they would be there within the hour. LIE! They never showed up, and never called. I made it very clear that this was an emergency situation. A technician finally called me to say he was at the house at 6:30 pm. Really??! 6:30? That’s 5 hours after the scheduled appointment. So they expected my 74 year old mom to wait around inside a house when it was 101 outside??? They didn’t call or even give us a status. Stay clear from this company, they are not reliable and clearly don’t care about new customers or elderly peoples safety. Sad!!

Excellent service. Very prompt, communicate with you step by step and not leave you for days wondering what's going on. Took only 1 week from the day I called that my unit was installed. They take care of filing the necessary paperwork with the county, your united is inspected for proper installation. Really appreciate the service.

I have been a customers for years. I have two properties that they maintain annually. Their membership program is great. Anthony Barrera was professional and efficient. Yong was really nice in helping us out with out heating problem. Although he couldn’t find the issue, he still gave us good service & said to just call back if the issue happens again. 10/10, would work with him again!
