We had a wonderful experience with Elite Leak Detection. We noticed a sudden increase of our water usage since July this year. The usage amounted to on the average of 30 ccf per month while our normal usage would not be more than 6 or 7 ccf.

Adding to that puzzle was the usage was continuously high even when we were gone for most part of September with the main valve being shut off during our absence.

As we were not able to identify the source of the leak ourselves, we turned to Elite Leak Detection to find out what happened. Monica was very helpful to schedule Cory over the next morning. Cory did a very thorough job in checking the leak and, at that time, he could not identify the souce of the leak, but he instructed us to take a reading after we turn the main valve off at night and took another reading before we turned the the water on the next day morning.

What amazed us was there was a 1ccf water consumption overnight even with main valve being shut off. We reported this finding to Elite Leak Detection immediately.

Brent came the next day morning. After further investigation, he found that the irrigation valves were still fed while the water to the home is turned off overnight. The sprinkler control appeared to be malfunctioning and one sprinkler head was broken. Brent unplugged the control and told us to check the meter reading after the main valve was turned off at night and before the water main valve was to turn on the next day morning.

We were so pleased to find that the the two readings were near identical and we repeated the practice next day and found the same result.

The mystry of water leak was finally resolved. Had Elite Leak Detection not being so responsible in investigating the the leak, it could be a long time before we identify the root cause of the problem.

To sum it up: We had a great experience with Elite Leak Detection! Their thorough and methodical approach clearly made a big difference in resolving the issue. It's impressive how they stayed persistent in finding the root cause of the leak, especially with the complexity of the irrigation system still feeding water even when the main valve was shut off.

Their professionalism and attention to detail, from Monica’s quick scheduling to Cory and Brent’s investigative efforts, clearly stood out. It's wonderful that the issue was resolved and we were able to avoid ongoing water waste.

We had an underground leak in our church parking lot. This resulted in a water bill of over $800. We were in need of urgent and competent professional help, which is not always easy to find. Fortunately, after one proprietor turned down the job as "being to large of property for him to service," I was able to make contact with Elite Leak Detection. Even on the day that he fractured his hand, Brent got back to me in a prompt manner and set up a service call with his technician Cory. Cory came out the next day. He was courteous and professional. He located the leak, and also made an additional repair of a broken valve that he discovered during the detection process. Brent then scheduled Cory to come back and repair the underground ruptured pipe. Cory did a great job of doing just that. I hope nobody gets a leak under their parking lot, but if you do, your answer is to call Brent and Elite Leak Detection without question. Leak Hounds came out, found the leak on my underground water line going to my kitchen, and did the repair. Jai had to go through my slate walkway to get to it. I hadn’t had a hot shower in two days because my water heater stopped working. The plumber came out, figured out the problem, replaced the igniter, and even waited to make sure it was running properly. Now I’ve got hot water again, and I couldn’t be more grateful.

Outstanding Service. From start to finish, our experience with Elite Leak Detection was positive. They were prompt, pleasant and professional. After contacting Monica in the main office, she scheduled Cory and Jerod to come to our house the next morning. They reviewed our latest utility bill which showed our water usage had doubled for the month of October. When their investigation showed no leak in or under the house, they proceeded to check our sprinkler/drip irrigation system and discovered a broken tube which was covered with mulch. Without any reservation, we would highly recommend Elite Leak Detection.

I have done 2 leaks with Jai from Leakhounds and both times they arrived right on time, detected the leak precisely, checked the entire property to make sure that was the only issue, the entire process with them is professional, on time, and the prices are reasonable. Had a wonderful experience with the Elite Leak Detection Crew! Last week a side unit of my grandfather's property had a massive leak, and his plumber couldn't find the source of it as the piping was under slab. We called Elite Leak Detection and spoke to Monica and they sent out Brent the very next morning. He was able to spot where the leak was and fix it that very same morning! We are very grateful for the help.

Cory is a wizard. After CalWater notified us that we had a serious leak we immediately called a couple leak detection plumbers. (We live on a sandy lot so Cal Water said most of our leak was percolating deep into the ground. 800 gallons a day! That's why we didn't see it.) The first company we called was a clown show but they were able to show up quickly. They were unable to find the leak and notified us that they would have to get their other plumber out here with the more sophisticated equipment. 5 days later. Ugh. Luckily I had kept my appointment with Elite for a day later and Cory came out with a truck full of technology. His technology helped him triangulate where the leak should be (under driveway) and developed a plan. Two days later he and his teammate came out to start work on the leak. It wasn't easy and because our house is 75 years old there were surprises. But he didn't stress out about the surprises, he just readjusted his thought process and found a good workaround. All fixed. Only issue were a few drip system pipes that were accidentally cut during the process...but I think I have most of those fixed now. Highly recommend.

A hole needed to be made on my wall to check something. The worker took the piece of drywall with him accidentally when he left and all I got was an I’m sorry.
That response isn’t good enough. The proper and professional response is i’ll give you another piece of drywall the same size or i’ll refund you $15 to get a small piece of drywall from home depot. I’m already coughing up a whole bunch of money to repair a leak and now I have to spend more just because a mistake was made and all I get is an I’m sorry. That answer isn’t good or professional enough for me.

Update 9/10/2025: Used again for re-piping the house. Appreciate the conference call to go over the process & the thoroughness in communicating with us. Would definitely recommend Leak Hounds for any plumbing work.

Leak Hounds are great plumbers. They are reliably communicative & provided us video of the work they were doing since we weren't present. Leak Hounds was able to diagnose the problem and complete the job quickly.

Our new dishwasher wouldn’t drain. After a few YouTube tutorials and 3 floods, I finally gave up and called a plumber. They showed up, didn’t judge my DIY disaster, and fixed my plumbing problem in just 20 minutes. Polite, fast, and even cleaned up afterward.

The Customer Service from Leak Hounds is the BEST! After I called to schedule a visit for Leak Hounds to come by to detect a leak in my kitchen, I got a call back from Brent the owner. He had me describe to him all the the exact issues over the phone. He suggested we focus in on one specific area to try to identify the leak on our own in order to avoid his normal site visit costs. In fact - based on his direction - we found the leak and there was NO CHARGE. You really cannot beat that! This is the kind of business I greatly respect and recommend most highly.
