had a previous plumber come out give us a quote for jetting, it seemed high, got another quote from independent, they were a lot less. Called a relative who has a pluming company just not close. He confirmed the first one was a rip off, and independent was a fair price.

Great service. The plumber was friendly and efficient. He reseated the toilet and changed the mechanism inside. While he was here he was also able to replace the shower cartridge so that it was much easier to open and close, preventing dripping. He came withing a day of our call.

Lawrence & Corey did a great job installing our new Halo water treatment systems. All aspects of their work was far superior to those of our previous water treatment company. Lawrence made us feel comfortable throughout the entire process--scheduling was easy, they arrived on time, patiently explained everything well, and paid attention to details that were important to us. In particular, they accommodated our request to install earthquake safety straps to hold both treatment tanks. Overall, their service work was professional, friendly. and efficient—a truly pleasurable experience. We plan to use Independent Plumbing for our future needs.

I’m beyond impressed. We had our sink back up and after other plumbers had canceled on us. I called independent and they were out at our home within 45 minutes. Shaun and Richie were able to diagnose and have the problem fixed in less than two hours! I’m so lucky to have found independent plumbing after struggling through a handful of other plumbing companies when I first moved to Ventura County. Since then, I’ve used independent plumbing three or four times and can’t say Enough great things about them.

They’re fair and honest and their plumber Lawrence (also known as LT) goes over and above taking care of not only what needs to be fixed, but explaining it and finding the most reasonable way to repair at the lowest price. He even cleans up after himself!

What a very pleasant experience over a not so pleasant problem. I called this morning for a clogged toilet. They were able to send Eric over between 12 and 2. I got a text message at 1:00pm that he was on his way. He had an assistant with him and the two of them were so personable. They had the clog resolved within minutes. And, icing on the cake, the cost was less than the 3 other companies I spoke with. I was extremely pleased. I highly recommend you give them a call for any plumbing needs.

LT & Eric are just the best! If you live in East Ventura, these guys know the nuances of older plumbing better than any other company out there. Professional, thoughtful, and thorough, Independent gets the job done right for a reasonable price, with results lasting for years, not months. Stop wasting your time and money with other companies. Called for help and plumber arrived within an hour. Can't ask for faster service than that.

A few days later we noticed a leak. Called Independent and within an hour a plumber was here. Turns out it was a leaky hose and didn't have anything to do with their previous work. The plumber advised us of the problem, said have a nice day and was gone before we could ask how much we owed him. Turns out it was a courtesy call. We are soooo pleased with our experience . Great service, great employees and reasonable expense. Thank you all!!!

Eric and his partner arrived on time! The office staff was very responsive to my call and update me as things changed.
This is the second time Eric has come to repair something at my home. This time it was an outdoor pipe that had a leak. They were very careful to keep the space clean and clean up all the mud after the job was complete. They did an excellent job, and repair looks better than the original. Reasonably priced. I would definitely use Independent Plumbing again. They are always on time and friendly. And their office staff is always responsive to your needs.

I had an exterior yard drainage system which had plugged with invasive roots. These two plumbers came with their high powered heated jet system. Though the job appeared tough, they made my problem disappear! Now my backyard doesn't form a pool in my patio every time it rains. Mike the owner is a great and sincere man! His crew are just like him!

Independent Plumbing & Drain Care is now my go-to-plumber. A honest company providing quality work. LT and Corey explained everything in a way which was understandable with camera views. This gave a refreshingly real time update showing the issues which was a kitchen sink backing up along with a hallway bathroom. LT and Corey took the time to explain and make an unbearable situation bearable. These two individuals were prepared and ready to tackle the issue and now my pipes are clean. Quality and efficiency at its BEST!! The pricing is unbeatable, first plumbers who are not in the business to make a buck. Independent Plumbing is a solid, trustworthy Ventura-based plumbing company staffed with cost-conscious employees willing to go the extra distance to see the job finished correctly. I feel very comfortable recommending Independent Plumbing to those individuals residing in the Pierpont area, elderly and/or women for providing potential customers with the correct, cost-effective diagnosis and proposed repair to your plumbing problem(s) performed the first time with integrity, efficiency and the foresight into building a long-term, repeat customer relationship.
In the present case, I called upon Independent Plumbing on January 12, 2026 to assess and provide a completely independent quote for plumbing services to rectify the penultimate, greedy plumbing disaster created by another local, more popular "family run" eight letter plumbing company "G" ending in "s". Understandably reticent, Lawrence, or "LT" from Independent Plumbing placed me at ease with his personable approach and actually listening to our particular situation and not focusing on upselling unnecessary services.
However, the foregoing is not the primary impetus for submitting this 5 star review of and/or strongly recommending Independent Plumbing, but the subsequent actions of LT and Cory that set them apart. On Friday, January 16, 2026, LT phoned me at approx. 4:30 pm to let me know that they were stuck in Simi Valley traffic and unable to make it back to Pierpont to finish the installation of our toilet (delay caused by waiting for the concrete to dry). I responded to LT that I had to leave the next day and that no one would be up to Ventura for a few weeks.
LT and Cory showed up at 6:30 pm on Friday to finish the job without any attitude. After talking with them, they had, without a doubt, a crappy day that would cause virtually every employee to give up and call it a day yet, LT and Cory soldiered on with positivity, professionalism and a determination to finish. At 8:30 pm LT and Cory rolled out with a job well done.
The measure of individual's or a company's "integrity" is registered, not by their reaction to when everything goes right, but when something goes south. From my experience, Independent Plumbing is worthy of recommendation and/or a solicitation for an independent, free estimate of plumbing services before proceeding with another plumbing company. You will be pleasantly surprised by how much money and drama Independent Plumbing can save you.
