I lived in my prior Sheffield home for over 20 years and loved it, I was the 2nd owner. After the Marshall fire, it was a fast decision to choose Sheffield as my builder. I'm thrilled I did. The new builds are fabulous and high quality, with so many upgraded standard options from previous homes--all granite counters, engineered wood floors, huge Primary bathrooms, showers, closets, kitchen breakfast bar, large sliding glass door, basement bar, high ceilings, tiled fireplace, tiled bathrooms, recessed lighting throughout. I picked a small model (due to underinsurance), and was able to customize as much as I wanted. All choices were mine, both inside and out. I added some decorative trim to the exterior and it's charming. I was also able to do energy upgrades like a heat pump for heating and cooling and an electric vehicle charger--things I think are important for the environment.

Bob and Jason on the construction side are excellent as are Nicole, Mariana and all others at the office. Everyone is responsive to questions and concerns and there is a website with all house specs, finances, etc, so much information and the ability to contact everyone.

The process of rebuilding after the fire was overwhelming, and Sheffield made it as smooth as possible. Once the framing is up and you see the structure of your house, it's ongoing excitement as roof, cabinets, counters, floors, lighting are added.

I can highly recommend Sheffield as a great builder, and if you use them, I'm sure you will be very happy with your new home!

We contracted Sheffield to finish the basement of our newly purchased home. From start to finish they have been fantastic! David Lewis and Jason Gordon helped us layout the perfect design and then executed beautifully. We just moved in and love every inch of this incredible space. Jason Klein was our on the job specialist and he was professional, efficient and very responsive every time we had a question or concern of any kind. We hired Sheffield to finish our basement. Every step of the process was painless and they dealt with all of the stress of COVID with ease. Jason, our project manager, was always available via phone or text if we had questions and he stopped by at least once a week to ensure that his team was still on track.

All of the contractors were professional and timely and the basement looks amazing! They sought our feedback every step of the way to make sure that it met our expectations. We also had to do all of our selections via zoom due to social distancing, and we were very happy with that experience as well. Everything came together beautifully and we were so thankful for all of the guidance from the Sheffield team along the way.

Working with Sheffield Homes was a positive experience. We worked directly with David Lewis, who was very receptive to our vision and provided expertise during the creation of the floor plan. His suggestions allowed us to maximize our space while meeting our desired objectives. When necessary, Mr. Lewis was very responsive to our questions, needs and concerns, providing a very customer centered approach. This was very apparent when David kept the project on schedule while we were out of town. This required sacrifice of his own personal time. The quality of work performed by Sheffield professionals meets high standards, which is why we trusted them with such an investment. We're truly proud of the end result and will be enjoying our basement for years to come.

If we could give them zero stars we would. We put money down in February to build a new house. Met with Jason and Nicole who gave us a range for the home, which was within our budget. Their “process” then began shortly after we finalized on the architecture, Jason and Nicole disappeared. We spent 9 months with their designer (who was the only star here) and designed the house down to the numbers out front. Month 8 Nicole holds a status call with us and has no pricing still. Just delivered the same range from before. Told us it is a great time to build pricing is coming in favorably. They were “so excited for us!” Month 10 an email with a few lines on it comes in as final pricing. Although several of our options remain as TBD and the price is now 350-400k over the estimate they had been quoting for 10 months. No phone calls from Jason, nothing but some shallow sorry about that. They did say their spreadsheet must have been wrong and that “their process usually works”. There was no value engineering possible they said maybe we should shave off 50k. And within 24 hours they had the home we spent nearly a year designing on the market for the highest bidder. If money and time is of no concern for you then this builder may be for you! We are just a small family of four. I am sure they have not thought of us since, but they really should be embarrassed of how they run their business and their utter lack of concern with the lives they upend.

We contracted with Sheffield back in November to finish our basement. From the beginning of working with David on the planning and throughout construction with Jason, we were extremely impressed. Both David and Jason were extremely responsive and provided tons of updates and details during the construction process so you never were wondering about timing or next steps. The quality of work was excellent and I always felt encouraged to point out anything that I had questions about. The subs that were contracted were also great to work with because they would ask questions if needed versus making assumptions just to be done. I would highly recommend Sheffield and I think at minimum you should reach out to them if you are thinking about finishing basement or getting quotes. We did our fair share of research before contracting and it was a pretty easy decision to choose Sheffield despite talking to 4 other companies.

When we decided to add an apartment to our unfinished basement we reached out to our home builder, Sheffield Homes. David Lewis, Project Manager for Sheffield Finished Basements & More, consulted with us and created a proposed architectural plan and quote in a very timely manner. We liked what we saw and decided to have them do the finish for us. Both David and Jason – the Site Supervisor, were great to work with. We needed to adjust a few things along the way, and they were flexible while providing sound advice for the changes. There was an open line of communication during the project, and they were very prompt in responding to any questions or concerns we had. They kept our project on schedule and on budget which was very impressive in a market with supply chain and labor shortages. The design center was also great in helping us pick carpet, tile and finishes that we are very happy with. The quality of our basement matches the rest of our house, and we are very pleased with the outcomes. We would highly recommend Sheffield Finished Basements and More.

I never anticipated building a new house, but I also never expected the Marshall Fire. I was initially concerned about all of the work that would be involved and the many challenges that I might face. I was immediately put at ease by Sheffield's professional and talented employees. They simplified the process by walking me through each phase and providing me with answers to all of my questions. Nicole (New Home Sales Consultant) met with me on numerous occasions to help with selections and to discuss customizations. She was always quick to respond and share her expertise, which was extremely helpful. Job Superintendent Bob was also amazing to work with and very professional. He made sure that the house was constructed in accordance with the plans and Sheffield's high standards. On many occasions, Bob suggested changes that would improve the overall look of the house. I really appreciate him taking that extra step to recommend enhancements that I never considered. All of the Sheffield employees that I worked with were very helpful and made the process go as smoothly as possible.

The Marshall Fire brought one of the biggest challenges my husband and I faced in our later years….building a home from scratch. Knowing we wanted to remain in our neighborhood, the decision to rebuild was clear. We explored all potential builders (custom, semi-custom, and production homes), before deciding on Sheffield. They had the flexibility of multiple options and customizing in areas that were important to us, and provided a floor plan that worked for us both in size and layout. The only disappointing factor during the whole process was that it took many months between contract signing and digging the foundation. Once the digging started, our home was built in 7 months….amazingly fast! And looking back, it was worth the wait.
The Sheffield team is great - professional, knowledgeable, and always ready to help us navigate the process. Loved working with Bob the Job Superintendent, and Nicole the New Home Sales Consultant. On many occasions, Bob suggested changes that improved the overall look of the house, and he recommended enhancements that we hadn’t considered. Jason (both Jasons) were readily available to address any questions we had, and Mariana was so pleasant and prompt in answering our questions and reaching out to vendors for answers. Really appreciate their website, CoConstruct, which allows us to see real time the build schedule, budget, and documents; as well as providing a tool to message people for quick responses and comments.

We needed to finish about 1,200 square feet in our basement. Sheffield dud a fantastic job. What I was most impressed with was that they were one-time and in budget. Many contractors will sell a schedule they know they can't meet just to win the job and then they finish a lot later than they quoted. Not Sheffield. They stayed on track. Other contractors also will charge you change orders for things you thought were already included in the base bid, but we had no unexpected change orders with Sheffield. Quality and service were great, which is hard to find in a post-Covid environment.

We chose Sheffield Homes to build our new house because we were confident that they would provide a beautiful home and they did. Our new home has greatly exceeded our expectations, it is gorgeous! While we upgraded several items, the Sheffield Homes standard inclusions, such as the appliances are top of the line. Perhaps more importantly, the process from initial consultation with our Sheffield New Home Consultant and the architects, to groundbreaking and the interior finishes was exceptional. All of Sheffield’s employees kept us informed and updated on the progress of the build. Sheffield’s outstanding vendors made choosing the right appliances, cabinets, light fixtures, and floor coverings much less overwhelming than it could have been. The basement was completely unfinished and we wanted to finish out a full bathroom, bedroom, storage space and large rec room.
Darrin was great to start with getting our bid and contract. Then Jeff was an attentive and reliable superintendent. Happy with all the different crews that respectfully came in and out of our home. Couldn't ask for a better more responsive company to finish my basement. They did a better job than the original house builders, making the basement nicer than my main floor. Even helped a ton with the design phase, and moved quickly on all aspects, also answering all concerns I had as the process moved along. I couldn't be happier with the end result. Sheffield was great to work with on every front when we rebuilt our house after the Marshall wildfire. Great people, attention to detail, flexible. Listening. Customer-centric superintendents, Like Bob Lopezi and Felipe. Supportive and effective project manager (Nicole). The financial VP (deb) was always so knowledgeable and helpful. The end result is a house that is the best, quality and design-wise. They also excelled at the energy efficiency aspects. I should mention that the home warranty inspector was so surprised that our final warranty punch list was so small compared with other builders he had been working with. Sheffield offered great attention to detail. You can do no better.
