We had an excellent experience with Elephant and their contractors replacing our entire heating/cooling service with a new electrified heat pump in MA.

I highly recommend this company and their team: they were incredibly responsive throughout the entire process, accommodating to our difficult schedule, and the install team was professional, courteous, and incredibly nice the entire time. 11/10 experience, if you need to do electrification work on your house, look no further!

I live in a condo and had a 26 year old furnace and air conditioner. I looked to replace with heat pump as an addition to solar panels I installed last year. Elephant Energy was referred to me. They were so professional throughout the whole process and I couldn’t be happier. I had one more quote which was more but even if it wasn’t I had already to decided to go with EE. The process was simple and they helped with all the rebates which was a plus. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking to reduce their carbon footprint!

We had a great experience recently with Elephant Energy! They installed two mini split systems with two ceiling cassettes and five wall heads in our house (old house with no ducting). They were very easy to work with from the initial consultation through the final installation. They were they only company that actually did a complete heat load calculation to size the system they quoted us, unlike other companies we got quotes from who simply eye-balled it. The installers were amazing and did a great job placing the units at the locations we requested and minimizing the external impact of the lines sets. They also took care of the paperwork for the rebates up front. Highly recommend them to anyone looking to get a heat pump! We'll definitely be using them again when we need to replace our water heater.

I had Elephant Energy replace my gas furnace and water heater with a heat pump and heat pump water heater. They were the most thorough company I got an estimate from. The installation was great and it all works very well. It's only been a week but I'm happy.

This was a good company to work with on getting our old furnace and water heater replaced with electric versions based on heat pumps.
Complications arose during the process but they were handled well with a coordinated effort between Elephant, the contractors, and ourselves. Very happy with the resolutions and the results.

EE is all well and good until you have a problem with your unit. The service side of this business is terrible and I would never suggest anyone I know use this company. Find a company that has the support you will need when this system stops working- as mine has twice now, on the coldest days of the year. No heat for twelve hours and keep being told someone will come today- but still no appointment has been set...

Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere.

Elephant was excellent in quality and price. They came out to remove an old gas furnace and replaced it with a heat pump. I got quotes from 5 other companies. Not only was this the best product, it was also the best price AND perfectly sized for my home. Everyone else tried to tell me it was a terrible idea or that the tonnage needed was 2x or even more. They are the only ones that had tonnage that lined up with my own calculations and simulations.

They clearly showed excellence with the "Elephant Way" in not taking shortcuts. The people I spoke with were extremely helpful in explaining every detail and working through my project with me. And I truthfully feel very comfortable with their Elephant Guarantee that if there is a problem with the sizing of the system, they will take care of it (not to mention the home is very comfortable now). It also helped reduce my energy bills.

I will be speaking highly of them and recommending them to others. If you're looking for a heat pump or electrification, don't waste time, just go straight here. I cannot recommend them enough!

Great Heat Pump Contractor. Follow up from initiation to post-operation were all better than anyone else (4 quotes). They even answered some Q&A I had after a month of smooth operation. Trust your gut and go with a contractor that will be there for you down the road, even if it means an extra couple $$. They also knew the rebates the best of anyone.

Elephant Energy quoted the best price after talking to numerous companies about installing a ducted, cold-climate heat pump and heat pump water heater. On top of that, they gave me the rebates up front. Also, when Xcel increased their rebate as the project was being completed, they worked with Xcel to get me the new rebate and provide a refund.
The hardest part of the experience was getting the RENU loan to finance the project, which was a frustrating experience with the bank.

Elephant Energy installed a heat pump for us. Their thorough planning resulted in a quick installation with no problems,. The crews were efficient and friendly and helpful. Follow up questions were quickly answered and well explained. The system was worked well ever since.

Looked at a couple of companies. This was by far the best. The first tried to push me into a high efficiency gas like I had saying rebates had dried up/ gone away and it would just be better. Another just didn't seem to have time.
Elephant electric just had a smoother easier. More user-friendly process. They did all the work on getting rebates.
Other than a 2K potential rebate via tax deduction if it's not taken away. So far so good.
Really easy one-day installation.. really no bigger fingerprint outside than current electric so I even got it through My HOA.
Since I've gotten it my bills have dropped. Can't quite say how much cuz we just had a heatwave but even though temperatures reached over 100 my house stayed cool. And it was less than a August heatwave from last year using my traditional air conditioner that I compared overall energy use in terms of kilowatt hours, keeping the house more comfortable for less money this year. Not a bad thing at all.. keeping the condo more comfortable for less money this year. Not a bad thing at all.
It's significantly quieter than my old 20 plus-year-old system.

Great job, great equipment. Still getting used to a heat pump in place of my gas furnace but all is well. Installation went great with only a few minor glitches. All is working well after a month in place.

Elephant Energy did a great job replacing our old gas water heater with a heat pump water heater. They are very knowledgeable about electrifying homes and the installation was very smooth. This is definitely a good team to work with that gets things done right.

Received a quote from Elephant Energy on a heat pump to replace our furnace. Entire process was well managed and communicated and the review of the quote was well explained. Turns out our furnace is fine, so no need to replace it but we’ll go back to Elephant when the time comes.

Elephant Energy was a fantastic partner in replacing two AC units and furnaces in our home with a new air source heat pump. Mostly, they worked to move up the installation date by several months so we can still take advantage of huge cost and efficiency gains of a heat pump over the rest of the summer rather than missing out.
The installation team was prompt, courteous and cleaned up perfectly. Elephant took care of all the permitting and lined up everything for us to be able to capitalize on numerous tax credits and rebates. Huge recommend if you're switching from AC and furnace ... which you should.

Elephant does great work! They were super easy to coordinate with for both our heat pump installation and attic insulation improvements. Our house is now much more comfortable.

Elephant Energy was a pleasure to work with while trying to get a heatpump installed in my condo. Unfortunately, it ended up not working out because amps would exceed the building limits. However, the entire process of working from onboarding with Alejandra, to project management with Tia, to meeting the different people who showed up at my place doing their due diligence to see if the project was viable was very pleasant. Every employee I interacted with was beyond helpful, ready to answer all my random questions that came up, and navigate me through the world of permits, electrification, and heat pumps. If and when the time comes that I can get a heatpump, I will automatically be reaching out to Elephant Energy immediately and I will be name dropping them every chance I get when the subject of electrification comes up (not that I haven't been doing that already)!

Have you ever done a complicated home project or made an appliance purchase and felt sure that you were getting ripped off/oversold or just struggled to stay in regular contact with the vendors throughout the process, and especially after install when you needed support?

The reason I loved working with Elephant is because they are the opposite of this experience. We used Elephant to do our energy audit and heat pump install & weatherization (attic insulation & duct sealing) and couldn't have been happier with the level of service. And more important than that IMO was the guidance they provided re: how to think through making our home more comfortable and healthier (by getting our ancient gas appliances out & sealing up our leaky older home). Doing a great job as an heat pump/hvac installer requires a foundation in building science so you're not just substituting gas appliance-related comfort issues for electricity-powered ones.

We are about a year into owning a heat pump and it's great to have a quiet & efficient heating & cooling device in our yard instead of the old noisy air conditioner that didn't work terribly well. We've done probably 10 big projects on our home since we moved in (and talked to probably 50 vendors) and Elephant is definitely in the top tier of companies we worked with.
