Friendly, Professional, and Thorough Visit

I contacted Polar Bear through the Rheem website when my water heater stopped producing hot water. The owner came out personally and spent nearly three hours carefully inspecting and testing the unit — draining it, checking components, and walking me through everything he was seeing. He was very professional, courteous, and clearly wanted to get to the bottom of it.

After several rounds of testing and not finding anything wrong with the water heater itself, I suggested we take a look underneath the house — and that’s when we discovered a burst pipe flooding the crawl space. Once that was found, it turned out the heater itself was working fine all along, and the lack of hot water was due to that pipe.

While it ended up being more of a plumbing issue than a water heater issue, I appreciated the time and effort he spent trying to help and his willingness to explain everything along the way.

Installers were very professional and did a great job of cleaning up afterwards. Found a few minor items not initially aware of and those were addressed as well. Didn't try to upsell anything and were very polite. 2nd time I've used Polar Bear and will keep using.

polar bear is awesome from the office staff to the techs who have worked on our boiler system. they are one of the few companies who even have the expertise to offer boiler system support, and they do it well. 10/10 in all the areas that matter for a business like this. highly recommend

If we could give a zero rating we would. We had an appointment between noon and 2pm they called around 10am and said they were on the way. We waited, they were lost called them several times to try and help them with directions they said they had a bad signal we called again and the tech said he was heading back to Springs and would have to do it another time. The heat has been out since Saturday and their solution was they would rescheduled for another day. They left my 93 year old grandmother without heat and she's been without heat for 5 days and now Ionger because their "gps got them lost." When we tried to help the tech find the house he was very rude. The lady answering the main line was very nice but the company was still accommodating, no compassion no compromise the error was made to be our fault.

Used this company to have my water heater replaced. They were very professional, and very well priced. Very skilled, friendly, and experienced staff, and completed the work in a timely manner. I will deffinately be using Fountain valley mechanical for all of my future needs. Thank you!

These guys are great! They know their craft, they're professional, reasonable priced and straight up about what work is necessary and that which is not. I live in an aging community and we were looking for a qualified and honest company and we found it with these guys. Dave the owner is also very nice and easy to talk to.

They replaced my furnace, installed an AC condenser, replaced old busted duct work, relocated a return, made a new opening for another return (that the home flipper had tiled over), opened up two other registers (also, that the home flipper had tiled over), and installed a new thermostat. All in less than 12 hours. I Could not recommend these folks more highly. If you're in the market for HVAC work, give them a call!

I was a dedicated and loyal customer with Fountain Valley Mechanical for over 15 years and unfortunately, it has come to an end. First, my hot water heater broke down last February and needed to be replaced. I called them to come check it out and thought there was no need to worry because I had a great relationship with this company and can always count on them to help me in a situation like this. They told me there will be no charge for a diagnostic test. Well, to my disbelief, they told me it will cost me approximately $1700 for the hot water heater with full instillation. I then told them that is way too much, and I will look around to see if I can get a better deal somewhere else, in which I did. To my horror, I received a bill in the mail for $158.00! I disputed this charge because I was told it would be none for the diagnostic, and got it down to where it was reasonable. Flash forward to August, and I called them to get an estimate on a new furnace. The owner Matt comes by with all smiles on his face, and happily gives me the estimate. However, he did not leave me any brochures or technical information about the new furnace he wants me to buy from them, so I called the office and asked his secretary if he was willing to give me some, in which she said yes. Well, one week went by, and no information from Matt, so I called again, and she said he had a personal matter to take care of, and after he took care of that, he would get the information to me. However, I could tell she was not telling me the truth because her voice was trembling. I told her I would not purchase anything I don't see, especially on a big investment, such as a furnace. Again, weeks went by and no word from Matt, so I went with another company and got a much better deal. This is not the same company it was when his father was running it. It's not about the customer anymore, and all about the almighty dollar. They lost me forever, and when you get one of your employees to lie for you, that's where the line is drawn. Integrity and trust is the most important ingredient in any business. If he no longer wanted to do business with me, he certainly could have refused, but he chose to just ignore me. I don't recommend doing business with them, and would call another company that is honest and trustworthy. My fifteen years of loyalty no longer meant anything to them.

What a great company! My parents and brother have been using FVM for years and I see why. For the first time I had to use them to replace a furnace in a house we just bought 3 weeks ago, a furnace that was under a National recall because of fires, which our home inspector missed. Matt, Jenny and their whole staff are wonderful. Very professional but still with a family atmosphere. Other companies have gotten so big that they don't care if they have to take care of customers like they are family because another one will come along, that's not so with FVM! Thank you for such a wonderful job and a wonderful experience!

Ryan came out to do a furnace tune up. He was professional, on time and educated me on things I didn't know about my heater. I appreciate quality service and a honest company. I will be sure to use them on a yearly basis!

Fountain Valley Mechanical has been an excellent HVAC service provider to us for 24 years now. I didn't even consider looking for anyone else when I needed to replace our heater due to it being water damaged. They installed an entire new system and we added Central air also. They completed the entire job in less than a day. Staying cool now!

Chris is the tech that came to my house. He was very knowledgeable and explained everything to me. Most companies in Colorado Springs just want to try to sell you a new furnace no matter what. Fountain Valley Mechanical is a very honest company that will fix what you need fixed and be on their way. I've finally found my go to mechanical company.
