Plumbing reviews in Denver, Colorado
-
This vendor was hired by my home warranty company to repair a water heater. Upon completing the installment of the tank, we were conveniently notified of a need to install a pressure control value, which would cost additional $1,000 and would require cutting into the drywall. After declining the plumber’s obvious attempt to sell us something we didn’t need, he became openly annoyed, as evidenced by his refusal to turn on the water and furnace to the tank before leaving our house. Mind you, this all took place after I debunked his lying of the water pressure to the house, something I was able to measure and later verified by calling our city’s water management depart. Just an overall lack of professionalism and respect demonstrated by this individual plumber. After reading multiple reviews, it doesn’t sound like an isolated incident for this company. Do not conduct business with this company.

Was assigned by american home shield for a repair, the tech made a mistake and now they are not willing to discuss a resolution. Cannot get a return phone call. Do not recommend this company

Assigned through AHS home warranty. Rude and unprofessional. Claimed they came to my property and waited for 15 minutes but I didn’t hear a door bell or a knock. I was sitting in my office with no music playing. When I called to clear up what happened I was berated and told it was my fault.
They have my number and didn’t contact me.
This was a follow up appointment and the technician had the same condescending attitude when he was here previously as the receptionist.
Additionally the tech did not reinstall the shower faucet correctly and it has been leaking worse than before he came out. The handle is visibly off center.
Do not work with Crown. They are coasting off large contracts that hide their low quality -
I set up an appointment through my home warranty. I needed my guest shower fixed before I had family come into town. The day of my appointment they called and said the tech called out sick...normally it wouldn't have been a big deal but since I specifically needed that shower fixed for guests I ended up deciding to cancel the appointment all together. I called Crown Plumbing and sent an email cancelling, they confirmed the cancellation via email. I went through my bank as I normally do and found out that Crown Plumbing still took out a payment for the job they never did! Now I'm on hold with my home warranty company getting the charge reversed but they should have never tried to take my money. CROOKS! I've had to cancel other requests through my home warranty before and this was never an issue. Get a different company to fix your plumbing needs!!!

The tech was quick efficient and professional! Justin came to my home in Brighton and took care of the leak under my kitchen sink. I will recommend them to all my friends and family

We had a leak coming from our hot water heater, and it was causing some minor (potentially major) damage in our garage. Working through our home insurance provider, Crown Home Services sent out a tech (Todd) within 24 hours and they were able to fix the issue promptly. Todd was quick, professional and went above and beyond to repair the leak. We really appreciated his great customer service and clear explanation of the issue and needed solutions. Also thank you to Maggi for her prompt responses and getting us on the schedule ASAP!

I had used Crown Home Services to repair my sump pump because of a home warranty (AHS) contract in June of 2021. May 2023 I noticed the sump pump is running continuously and the crawl space is full of water. I called Crown Home in the morning of May 23rd and was told they don't have availability until June. I relayed my concerns about water backing up into my crawl space and that the work was done by this company. I was told she would have to see what they could do and would call me back. I called again the next afternoon because no one had called back as she said they would. I again relayed my concerns, and the first question she asked was, did I still have the AHS warranty? I informed her I did not, but this company did the work and the pump they installed was now failing. I was put on hold for 10 minutes and disconnected. I called again a couple times because no one was answering, and finally the same woman picked up - she just started talking before I could get a word in and said she is still working on this and I could hold or she would call me back. She called back an hour later and told me there would be an $85 service charge to come to the house, and an additional charge for repairs if needed. I asked her if their work was not covered or under warranty - she repeatedly told me that it was not because I did not still have the home warranty service (3 times). When I asked if the work would be covered if I were still paying for a home warranty service, she quickly denied inferring that. I informed her that her company did the work, and whether I still had a home warranty service has nothing to do with the pump they installed in my home. At that time she informed me that it was only covered for 1 year. She continued to be argumentative and deny that she suggested they do not cover their work, and only fix problems if I have a home warranty service. I am amazed at the extremely poor customer service and will never use this company again.

Not sure why they got such bad reviews. I really like them and they did a great job replacing our water heater. We used them with our 2-10 home warranty. Justin came out twice to diagnosis and fix our water heater. They ended up replacing it for us and he did it in under 1 1/2 hours. He is so nice and loves dogs, which we have two so that's always a plus in my book :) Maggie at Crown Home was always responsive and helpful! If anything it was 2-10 that held up our claim and I had to call them to see what was going on. But Crown Home was always on top of it.

Justin was awesome! I completely forgot about the appointment and was about 10 to 15 minutes away, and he was willing to wait. Then he gave my dog tons of love (I know, not relevant, but still important!). Most importantly, after we found the shut off valve (which took longer than I thought), he got to work right away. Fixed it quickly, and it's such a relief that I don't have to listen to that horrible running toilet anymore. Thank you!

Justin came through my warranty service and he was amazing. He was on time replaced what need to be replaced and gave me pointers on how to take care of everything he went above and beyond and even indulged me in some new music preferences. So professional in so many ways I appreciate the service more than he will ever know.

Like others, we were assigned through our home warranty. Cons: difficult to get ahold of via phone. Pros: Todd was efficient and practical in getting us a new water heater and was able to install it same day. The install was professionally done, as corroborated by other HVAC/plumbers who have been out. I was skeptical of the reviews, but it was overall a good experience.

If your home warranty company assigns you this company you need to cancel your home warranty company and go with someone else. I had a stoppage on December 22nd and the plumber came out on the 24th. He was working for an hour and said the sewer line was broken and then left us with raw sewage and a completely unlivable house over Christmas. The day after Christmas I paid out of my own pocket to have someone clear the stoppage. There was NO BROKEN line. He just didn’t want to work on Christmas Eve. So this company totally ruined my family’s Christmas. DO NOT use this company under any circumstances! Call Mile High Drain. They will get you sorted quickly and efficiently.

Crown was assigned to clear a drain by my home warranty company. They were unable to clear the drain and I was told it was because the entire bathroom needed to be re-piped. The home warranty company sent out another company that was able to clear the unclearable drain with ease. That plumber, a former Crown employee, told me it was a standard practice at Crown to upsell customers things that they didn't need because plumbers were reimbursed for any up charges they could manage. Absolutely unethical and predatory. Had me convinced that I was going to have a major bill in my future. Do not do business with them.

Tell me why Todd came out today and made my problem worse.
So boom: basement toilet won't flush and water is coming up out the drain. We finally get somebody out here through American Home Shield and it's Todd with Crown Services.
First, he's rude when he gets here. We were happy to see him, but he was not happy to see us. Now I got work done a few years ago where my drains can be cleared outside, but Todd wasn't listening to anything we said, and proceeded to try to clear the drain from in the house. He didn't even stay long enough to see if everything was good.
So I flush the toilet, and guess what? Water came up from the drain.
I had to have another plumber out, that took less than 30 minutes to complete the job.
So I wouldn't advise anyone to use this company. You might end up needing another plumber to do the job. Because the 2nd plumber that came out, knew immediately Todd did not do the job right. -
Justin was Amazing!! He was early and fix the toilet let in less than 10 minutes. I would definitely be recommending this company. Thanks so much!

Technician was quick and courteous. We just needed a garbage disposal fixed through our home warranty.

I was assigned to this vendor from my home warranty company. The employee who scheduled me over the phone had great customer service. Otherwise, the experience was not good. I was given a 2hr window for when the technician would show, and he arrived 10min before the end of that time frame. The issue I asked them to investigate was a foul smell from the water heater closet. I asked if the smell was caused by my new water heater, anode rod or a drain. The technician immediately said no, and after a few minutes of checking the closet, claimed the smell was due to poor venting of the water heater closet. He suggested a new vent system to fix the issue. He said my home warranty would not cover the vents and gave me a verbal estimate of $1k-$2k to fix vents before he left. I was skeptical, I've never had an issue with a water heater nor the closet in the time I've lived in this place. I ended up calling a different contractor who came by the next day and found the issue was simply a dried up P-trap in the closet - it was hard to find but an easy fix (poor water down the drain). No new vents needed.

We had Justin come help us out with our sink and he was able to diagnose a very complex problem and get us set up with the required repairs in a timely fashion. He was very thoughtful and up front and I would be happy to get him to help us in the future if we have any issues.

I was assigned this vendor by AHS to repair a leaking sink drain pipe. I should have paid more attention to the 1-star reviews and insisted on another vendor. The plumber told me he couldn't access the pipe, although we could both clearly see the leak through the hole he'd cut in the wall. He said he needed the whole upstairs bathroom vanity ripped out so he could access the pipe, and he had a friend who could do it for me and repair the extensive water damage (there was limited water damage). I said I'd think about it and got a second opinion through AHS. The new vendor was able to fix it in an hour, without tearing apart my house.

Would advise to not use this company for any plumbing needs. They will overcharge for repairs that are not needed and labor that isn’t required for the fix. When speaking with the office to resolve it, they just tell you that they aren’t plumbers and can’t help you.

It's no wonder this company only gets three stars. They caused a flood in the unit above me last Saturday and now I can't even get them to respond to me with a Claim number from their insurance company to pay for me to stay somewhere else while my home is put back together. Seems like the owner (Todd) doesn't care. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY is the best advice I can give. They are completely irresponsible and Unresponsive. LOOK AT THE MESS THEY HAVE LEFT IN MY HOME.
