Beware! Don’t believe the fear tactic! A Technician showed up for a basic $99 chimney sweep. Said my stove was installed incorrectly and isn’t up to code. Said it’s a huge fire danger (after it has worked fine for 5 years). Even called his supervisor who told me, “it’s like nothing I’ve ever seen before.” I sent him away in order to have a third party inspector take a look. That inspector said the stove was absolutely fine. I then wrote a poor Google review for AR Chimney.

After my initial review the owner, Ben called me and offered $200 for me to take the review down. I refused but willingly sent him the manual for my stove so he could review it and see what is required. He again insisted there were installation issues (having never personally seen the stove only pictures).

I contacted a second third party chimney inspector who came in the following week and said my chimney is just fine. Referenced code and even reviewed the invoice of products for the original install.

When I refused to take this post down, Ben, threatened a defamation lawsuit.

Ron, Shay, and Ben did an excellent job not only chemical cleaning the caked-on creosote from my chimney but also adding a Heat Shield to seal the cracked flue tiles and missing mortar joints between the tiles. (They also taught me what all these things mean, haha). This fixed a longtime issue that I'd been having with a smoky smell filling up the living room on warmer days. They were super friendly, easy to work with, and worked with my budget as well. I can tell they have a ton of experience with these more challenging chimney tasks so I wouldn't hesitate to use them for anything chimney-related, thanks guys!

Shawn came to inspect some damage in our fireplace. ( It’s 46 years old). After careful inspection he found issues needing repair, but instead of trying to get a sale, he kindly told us that this was not something his company could do without costing us thousands of dollars. Told us to get more opinions and offered us alternatives. All for free.Who does that in today’s make a buck atmosphere! Highly recommend this company.

Ron and his team are great! Always responded quickly with clear info. Provided great recommendations and I love my new Redstone built in fireplace. We replaced the old gas unit and he took care of it all and even recommended a very good electrician. As a new home owner I wasn’t sure what to expect.

About two months ago, shortly after purchasing our new home, we hired AR Chimney Pros. The technician who initially arrived, Nate, honestly didn’t come across as very professional at first. We had scheduled a $99 cleaning, and when additional issues were brought up, I became frustrated and suspicious, even wondering if this might be a scam.

As an attorney, I was genuinely dissatisfied at that point and seriously considered taking legal action.

Shortly after, I received a call from the supervisor, Shawn, and that completely changed my perspective. Shawn was extremely knowledgeable and professional. He spent over 45 minutes on the phone walking me through the entire inspection, clearly explaining the condition of our existing setup and why it was unsafe. He also explained the NFPA 211 regulations in a very clear and straightforward way, helping me understand how serious the situation was — particularly the fact that a wood-burning stove had been installed in a system that was never designed for it.

Thanks to the detailed documentation and professionalism provided by AR Chimney Pros, the real estate company we purchased the home from ultimately covered all the costs and installed a brand-new, code-compliant fireplace for us. Unfortunately, they chose to work with their own contractor instead of AR, but that decision was not ours.
