Plumbing reviews in Northglenn, Colorado

Our hot water heater unexpected went out December 2019. We called 911 Rooter to come check out our hot water heater to determine what was wrong. They said it needed to be replaced along with piping because it was out of code. Nearly $3k later, we were left with the bottom of the barrel hot water heater, of course we could have paid $2k+ more for a "more top of the line one". Not sure id he was a true tech, seemed more like a salesman. Now 7 months later, the day we returned from being out of town, found the hot water heater out again. Water everywhere. I emailed them and asked what their policies are on warranty for their work and heaters. The only response I received was "When can we get a tech back out to you?". Nice try. Tell you a time for a tech to come out and charge me more money for junk???Still waiting for a response on what warranties they have, still while not having hot water.....

If you aren't using this family owned and run company you are wasting your money. Whatever your job, big or small, this company can do it for you. This is the best Plumbing company I have used ever in my nearly 50 years on this earth and in any of the 6 states I have lived in. Patrick is so professional and helpful. He explains everything that he is going tp do and he does it with precision. Prices are more than reasonable and they always make sure you are satisfied. This company is the only company I will ever use again. So glad I found them and couldn't be more happy with my experiences with them. I recommend them to everyone!

* OVERCHARGED FOR SERVICES!!!
I called 911 Rooter and Plumbing LLC earlier this year late in the evening, at which time our sewer system in the house was completely inoperable due to a backup. I agreed at that time to pay the $150 service call fee. Following inspection in the middle of the night, the Company's employees provided me with a proposal to perform the required services, a hydro jet of the sewer line, for a fee of just under $4,000. Having no experience with the cost of these services, and having a house with my wife and little children without the ability to use any drains (toilets, sinks, showers) without further flooding, I told them to move forward with the services. They came the next morning, and performed the services.
The day following the services, I talked with my insurance agent regarding making a claim to repair on my sewer line. When I informed him of the price of the hydro jet, he was appalled, and told me that I was completely ripped off. This was obviously very concerning and upsetting to me. To verify this, I subsequently talked with a number of plumbing professionals, and was provided with price estimates in the range of $500 to $1,200 for the hydro jet services that were provided. When I asked multiple plumbers about the services that were provided by this company for a fee of just under $4,000, they too informed me that this cost was unreasonable for the services provided. It was at that time that I realized that I had been taken advantage of by this company.
I understand that the services that were provided were made in an emergency situation, and that a late night visit to the property was made (for which I paid $150). The speed in turn around to perform the services may be deserving of a “mark-up” in the price for services. It is not, however, reasonable to charge 3 to 7 times the market rate for these services.
Following this discovery I reached out to the Company via email and letter on multiple occasions to request a partial refund, and received no response. I am very disappointed with this Company. I will be making a complaint with the Colorado Attorney General's office. -
Call ANYWHERE else if you need plumbing work. Do not get scammed!
If you have a small leak on a residential line, look up Shark-Bite fittings and YouTube videos on how to install.
Called 911 Rooter around 7:55PM on a Friday night due to a pinhole leak from our hot water line from the hot water heater. They said the tech would arrive no later than 150-minutes (about 10:30PM) and immediately charged our card for the $150 emergency callout fee. I called them back at 10:38PM and conversation went like this:
"Hi, we called a couple hours back for a plumber to fix a burst pipe."
"We were just about to call you. The tech is finishing up another job now so they will soon be on their way to you."
"Well how long will that take? You said they would be here by now."
"Probably 30-minutes to finish up then 30 to 45-minutes to get to your location."
"That's ridiculous. You said they'd be here within 150-minutes and now you've just added another 60."
"I said 'roughly' 150-minutes."
"210-minutes is not ROUGHLY 150-minutes. That is an hour late. You can certainly cancel this appointment."
"Are you sure? You're his next stop."
"Yes I'm 100% sure and I expect the emergency callout fee to be refunded."
"That is not refundable."
"I only agreed to pay that under the agreement the plumber would be here at the quoted time. Do you understand why that is ridiculous?"
"Okay, we'll refund it."
"Thank you! Bye."
The call lasted 91-seconds. There is no way I would have ended that call that quickly if the woman did not tell me I'd be refunded. I've realized she only said that to get me off the phone. Now, after many attempts to contact them via email, they will not respond. I believe this is a scam they pull often to get the $150 fee without doing any actual work. -
They did a great job at my Moms home, she had a leak in the bathroom and they were not only quick to respond but they did the work cheaper than 5 others I called fist. It was after hours so I knew I would have to pay emergency service hours but their prices were great and my elderly mom got her lead fixed and I am a happy camper. Thanks guys for all the great work

We called for our business and was told we needed to pay $150 and whatever the repair was on top of that. It was after hours so we were willing to pay the $150. When the tech got there, without any tools, told us it would cost $786 to fix! We had used Roto Town in the past and they did not try and take advantage of us. Also, when we called and had to pay the $150, they would not tell us how much it would cost to snake the line! Think twice and get a second opinion before you pay for a service you are not receiving
-
Total scam. They charged me $150 just to come out, which was acceptable since it was after hours. The diagnosis was to open the sewer clean out and snake the 6 feet of line that was clogged. Technician quoted me $675 on top of the $150 I already paid. This is absolutely outrageous. This service should only cost $200 tops. I will be contacting the BBB about this business. You think you can quote people outrageous amounts because they have no other options and you already have their $150. This is a despicable business practice. Now I’m left with a clogged drain in the middle of the night and we cannot use our plumbing until I can find an honest person to come do the work.
This company should be ashamed.
Update: the business responded to my review in the middle of the night only about an hour after I made the review saying that this rarely happens and to call them and they’ll make it right. First of all if you look at their reviews you will see that this is a common practice for them (outrageously overcharging because they have you on the hook). Secondly, I was on the phone with them not an hour before they responded to this review. Lastly, I just had another plumber come to my house and do the job for $95.
This place is a ripoff. -
A total scam. They charged a service call fee which is fine but when Jose arrived he quoted $636 to replace one single kitchen drain and $500 to swap out my new toilet for an old one. The Home Depot Glacier Bay toilet on the side of the box said “15 minute” install time. I asked why so much and he said because he is a “master plumber” while acknowledging that the toilet swap and and sink drain together might take 30 minutes total. $1136 plus a $75 service fee for even an hours worth of work is outrageous but at 30 minutes it is a whopping $1211 or $2422 PER HOUR. It is criminal! I went to Home Depot and the nice fella explained what $25 drain I needed, I returned home and at 70 years old I changed my first ever drain in 30 minutes and my first ever toilet in 30 minutes with absolutely no issues. I feel that this company saw an opportunity to stick it to a senior citizen on social security which is just shameless. This apparently is their modus operandi and should be called out. I feel sorry for others who may have have medical or financial issues who will fall victim to these scammers. Making a fair living with profit and covering overhead is perfectly fine but charging outrageous fees totally unrelated to the work skill or time element is despicable. How can they sleep at night?

We needed a plumber for a bathroom project and to upgrade some shut off valves that the builder had installed. I was apprehensive about the quality of work and the price I would ultimately pay.
We found 911 Rooter & Plumbing on NextDoor. I called them, made an appointment and today Patrick came to our house. I was immediately convinced that I had found the right company.
The price was quoted immediately, the work was done immediately and I couldn't be more impressed with the entire project. We have even scheduled 911 to come out and work on other wish list items in the near future.
Before calling 911, I asked around to find referrals for a good plumber. It was sad because the only referrals I received were negative. They cost too much, they were late to our appointment and the work wasn't done all that well were common responses.
I would highly recommend that you give 911 a call and see if they are match for you. They will be coming back to my home.
Patrick, thank you! -
Think twice before calling them. We had a mainline back up in our rental after hour, called them and said they would come out for $150 “after hour fee” since this was around 9pm, the tech that showed up around 11 pm said it’ll be another $580-$800 ON TOP of the $150 that was already charged to clear the line!!!! I said is this your regular price or is this your after hour price? Why is it so high? He said that’s their regular price no matter what time. He seems reluctant to do that job as if he could careless if we say yes or no. I think he just wanted to go home at that point and he already got paid the fees just to go out. We didn’t trust them at this point at all! It will probably end up being the higher price of $800 ($950 total to snake a mainline) if not more If we let them do the work.
We have had to clear out mainlines in many properties the price usually are $88-$250 at most.
We opted to wait until 7:30 for the other company to come out and do cleared the line (in less than 10 minutes, the blockage was about 6-10 feet from the main clean out) for the more reasonable price that we feel is much more reasonable.
I think they’re just collecting the $150 from desperate people like us without doing the actual work. They could have said additional $200 to to clear out the line and we would have paid but to demand the amount that they demanded. It was outrageous.
This company not only lack compassion and customer service, but straight out tried to extort from you in the middle of the night because they think they can.
BEWARE! -
We have used 911 several times and won’t ever use anyone else. They are friendly, prompt, communicative and reasonable. We used them twice last year for a stubborn AF clog from our washer and once this year to help us install a new faucet in our bathroom. Very nice. Very professional and willing to look at less expensive but workable options when needed. I don’t worry they will overcharge or up sell us at all. I would recommend these guys to everyone. Thanks Patrick!

We called after coming home to a flooded basement. Due to the recent cold weather, all plumbers were booked out several days. 911 Rooter and Plumbing was the only one we could find that would have someone available the same day. We booked hoping that it wouldn’t be too long that we had to have our water shut off.
We got a text a couple hours later saying that Jose was on the way. It was after business hours but Jose arrived shortly after. Jose was very thorough and was able to diagnose and repair the broken pipe in the wall. Jose was professional, knowledgeable and friendly. He was able to get the job done quickly and made sure to explain what the problem was and how he fixed it.
I am very impressed with the company and even more so Jose. I would definitely recommend using this company and they will be our first call for any future plumbing issues. -
My main line needed to be cleared on a Sunday evening as my basement was partially flooded. The company charged $100 to come out to my house to assess with no quote on how much it would be to clear the drain. When they got there the quote for a simple drain cleaning was 5X the cost elsewhere. They wasted $100 and my time. I do not recommend this company

Douglas was amazing! Extremely detailed and gave me options for what I needed done. After the job was done, my house was cleaned and put back to how it was. Same day service was not expected but I was able to schedule for a hour after I called!

With no luck calling several companies to schedule winterizing my sprinkler system, I tried one last company; 911 Rooter and Plumbing. Ashley answered and provided excellent customer service. She got me scheduled for the same day. Patrick and his assistant called 30 mins prior to arrival. They were on-time wearing masks and very professional. They were Quick and efficient while on property and they treated my young son wonderfully. I’ll use your company with any future plumbing or sprinkler system needs. Excellent professional work that is guaranteed. That makes the value for the $ well worth it. Thanks Y’all.

I want to start off by saying all the 1star reviews are correct. I called them to clean my main line as it just started backing up at 7:30-8pm and they didn’t show up until 2am when they said it would take four hour for the tech to get here. I called them back at 12:30 am and they told me it would be another 45 minutes, at 1:15am I received a text saying he was just in route. I stayed up all night just for him to tell me it would be $800 on top of the non refundable service fee when cleaning the main line is around $200. THIS PLACE IS A SCAM! SAVE YOUR MONEY!

I called for a disposable that wasn’t working that was under warranty. They told me over the phone it would be free to come look at the issue. It ended up being a very simple fix. They ended up charging $218 for diagnostics. I called to say I would have put in more effort trying to find a solution on my own if you didn’t say it would be free. Very misleading. I guess I am kind of stuck with them while the part is under warranty, but not planning to work with them again in the future.

I would give zero stars if I could. I had an issue at about 7pm where my shower was flowing water. I was going out of town the next morning and needed it fixed for my dog and house sitter. I called a lot of places and this was the only one that had time to come out that night and not a few days away, despite those places saying they were 24/7. Anyways, I get them out after paying a $100 emergency service fee. That’s fine I get it. they give me a 2h window of when to expect someone and about an hour or so into that window I got a text saying they were on the way. Hooray. Well maybe 20 ish minutes later they call me to say they aren’t on their way yet and it was an accident. Ok fine, I was a little upset but ok mistakes happen. They guy gets there and he was super friendly. He looks and tells me what the issue was (had to replace the cartridge in the faucet). I had been so frazzled over the last few hours that when he gave me the estimate I signed it. I didn’t think I had time to find someone else. He does the work and everything is fixed. What I realized after my brain stopped spinning was that they charged me $736 (on top of the $100) for the part that costs about $50. The invoice doesn’t say labor, it just has the service fee and the part. Even if the part was high end at $100, charging over $600 for 20m of work is highway robbery. Even if there was an hour minimum fee, that’s outrageous. Other companies charge $300/hr tops. I tried to get ahold of them to talk through this and they have ignored me completely and haven’t responded. Don’t use them, even in a jam. Find someone better, transparent about their pricing, and responsive.

The company failed to ensure professional communication, proper work and availability to my lawn. I asked them to set up a sprinkler system for me and they did not do it at all correctly. Then when I asked them to come back out to do it, they denied my request and told me that they do not work on sprinklers no longer, only a few days after. It did not make any sense. The owner, Nelson, did not care while he was aware. The guy I spoke to was also very rude and unprofessional when I spoke about the payment method, I desired to use the next day because it was not online. However, when I did pay fully that next day that was when he decided to cancel my service. They are overpriced so my best advice is to make sure to compare to other companies before working with them.

Horrible. Wanted $380 to simply unclog a toilet (with no special circumstance). Avoid avoid avoid.
EDIT: in response to the business’ comment, I note that they don’t address the substance of my review — because there’s nothing to defend. It’s a scam. Instead they attempt to suggest I didn’t use their service at all (?). To be clear, I am an owner using a prop manager and was surprised to get a call from the PM to approve such a large expense when it was a simple clog. Apparently, 911 Rooter refused to provide any cost estimates for a clog and only asked for such a wild price on site. Of course, I denied it, and instructed the PM to never work with this this business again for any of our properties.
But don’t just take my word for it. The consistent one-star reviews tell the story. So to repeat: AVOID. -
We woke to a sewer drain pipe break in our basement. I reached out the 911 Rooter and Iris in the office understood our situation and dispatch a truck to our site. The technicians were friendly, professional and diagnosis the problem and had a solution. They gave us a quote that we agreed on and within a few hours our plumbing issues were repaired. They even went a step further and made sure the pipe under the cement was in good working order and showed no damaged. Thank you Douglas, Ryan and Iris!
