Just want to give a shout out to Joe at 5280. I received Professional and high quality work from Joe at 5280. I had a different company that came out to clean, inspect and certify my 4 year old AC and Furnace for my homes upcoming sale and was told that I will need $6200 dollars in repairs. Needless to say my 4 year old systems did not need any repairs. Be careful of scammers out there! Joe is honest and got my systems cleaned properly and certified for sale. I had an excellent experience with 5280 Heating and Air Conditioning. My HVAC had reached the end of it’s lifespan. I thought the pricing was reasonable and appropriate the discounts they informed me that was available if I were to upgrade. Everyone who came out, both to look at the system, take away the old and install the new were fantastic, friendly and kept me posted on what was going on. I can’t say enough about how happy I am. Highly recommend and will continue to use them.

5280 Heating & Air Conditioning did an outstanding job installing a new heat pump and furnace at my home in Colorado. Their communication was excellent from the first quote through final installation. Joe took the time to answer all of my questions — especially around how a heat pump would perform in Colorado’s climate compared to the Pacific Northwest and what they would do during installation to compensate for the CO winters. His explanations helped me feel completely confident in the decision to go with a heat pump over a traditional AC system.

The installation team was on time, professional, and did an awesome job. They even filled out the rebate paperwork for Xcel Energy, which saved us thousands of dollars — a huge bonus I wasn’t expecting when I was looking for a quote!

5280 Heating & Air Conditioning is simply awesome! When my builder grade AC unit went out in the middle of a July heat wave, Ryan was very responsive and able to show up, get me a diagnosis and quotes all in short order. I made a selection for a new unit and was on the calendar for installation before other companies could even get a technician out for a diagnostic call. The installation technician did a great job and we were up and running in about 6 hours on the install day. They made it easy and seamless - definitely give them a call.

Ryan was amazing !!! His company 5280 is recommended highly if you ever need anything HVAC related ! I got home from being out of town to find out my aging water heater gave out and flooded my basement ! Scotty came out and within hours had a new hot water heater installed and I was enjoying a hot shower shortly thereafter. He was friendly, efficient and professional !!! I had 5280 provide annual maintenance for my two HVAC air conditioning units. The technician (Michael) arrived right on schedule. He was efficient, professional, and courteous. He explained exactly what would be done and why, and showed me the readings on his gauges alongside the specifications for the units to confirm they are operating in spec. He answered my numerous questions without hesitation. Top-notch service, and I will certainly call 5280 for any future HVAC needs.

Update: Based upon the previous excellent service I had with 5280, I called them when my Trane furnace went out. Joe was here within 90 minutes. Promptly identified the problem, fixed it, then checked to make sure system was functioning properly. Clearly very knowledgeable about Trane HVAC systems, thorough, and a pleasure to deal with. Once again, stellar service!

They responded very quickly when I had a problem w my furnace. They showed up on time, pleasant, respectful and knowledgable, and completed the work in a timely manner. Their prices are fair and they do not try to talk you into purchasing products or services that you do not need.

Highly recommended! We feel so lucky to find someone with the integrity to look out for us and not just the company’s pockets. Ryan from 5280 Heating and Air Conditioning gave us a second opinion that saved us thousands!

Our HVAC suddenly stopped working. We hired another company in town to look at it. It turns out, our outside HVAC unit had a burned wire. We were told our compressor failed because it was pulling too many amps and melted the wire. Our options were a $6k compressor fix or a $10-15k brand new HVAC. They really pushed for a new HVAC because our 12 year old unit was “really old” and a new unit would have a 10 year warranty and it would save us money in the long run. We felt something was off here. They didn’t even think to change the wire to run diagnostics on the compressor.

We called Ryan (the owner) for a second opinion and he was over early the next day. He looked at our furnace and HVAC. He changed out the melted wire (see picture) in our outside HVAC unit and our system came back on. There was nothing wrong with the compressor. It was running at 6amps - normal range. The compressor did not fail. It was only a loose contact that burned the wire. He saved us from an unnecessarily buying a $10k+ new HVAC.

Ryan ran into a couple of unexpected issues, and readily addressed them. One was relocating the new outside unit to give plenty of room for air flow. They were very professional and honored the original estimate. Highly recommend them.
