Crooks. Liars. Horrible customer service. Repairs broke after a week and caused more problems months later. I wrote bad review on google & owner called begging me delete it as it’s his “livelihood “ and would discount me $90. I did and job still took week longer and I wasn’t given discount. The office “ladies” are a disaster- unorganized, unprofessional and rude. Received a high quote so called second opinion (Lindstrom) and within 5 mins they said that repair was NOT needed. Above Air had put double amount of coolant in and that was why air wasn’t blowing out at full capacity.

What a nightmare! I have a Luxair unit that’s less than six months old. They sold me on an amazing warranty — but what good is a warranty if they don’t show up? I called Friday morning at 11 AM, and they’re not sending anyone until Monday. This is the second time I’ve had to go without AC all weekend because they don’t have technicians available.
When they first installed the unit, I had issues from day one. They had to keep coming back because the installers did things incorrectly. Even when I spoke directly to the owner, Joe, all he did was make excuses and offer no real help.
This is the first review I’ve ever written, but I felt I had to say something. I hope this saves someone else from going through the same mess.

The thermostat went on the fritz and Above Air was there in a jiffy with a fix! A great company with great techs.

Above Air is the best! Work done properly, on time, at a reasonable price. Can’t praise them high enough!

This company is always pleasant and there to help you. They answer their calls and give top-notch service. They are knowledgeable and explain everything, and answer all questions.

The team did a great job replacing the plenum (the direct connection to the duct work) from my A/C unit. The old plenum was a patchwork leftover from a conversion from an old "package" unit to a split unit. The A/C is working more efficiently now.

Jonathan is a wonderful and professional employee, hold on to him! Once other parts arrive, please send him here to finish this job, even though I told him today that I hope not to see him again (sarcastically).

Joe and Above Air were AMAZING!!! They diagnosed our issues, came in at a lower quote than three other companies and completed all of the work within a week. I HIGHLY recommend Above Air for any HVAC needs!

We couldn’t have been more pleased. Joe came out to check out the problem and he wasn’t sure so he sent another service man. Everyone was very punctual and professional. Our problem was fixed at a very reasonable rate.

For the last 20 years, Above Air is the only AC sales and service company we use. We have several investment properties and they provide excellent service to our own home and all our properties. Brian and his whole team do a great job!

I have been an Above Air HVAC customer for several years in south Florida, and they have proven to be a reliable, prompt source for HVAC equipment and service.

They installed my new AC back in 2018. Since then I have used them for bi-annual maintenance with a service contract. They are always prompt and professional. When it comes time to replace or upgrade, I will definitely use them again.

We have been customers for many years and we have a monthly plan for maintenance. The day of our maintenance our drain line clogged. Drain line cleaning is including with the maintenance but since I told them it was running slow, they charged me for a service call and then did the maintenance per our plan. When I mentioned this and asked if I would have just not said anything it would have been covered, they said yes. Then offered me 20% off the service call. They were coming anyway to do the maintenance so by being honest, I was penalized. Very disappointed.

Our unit was running but wasn't cooling on a Friday morning and I called Above Air. Within an hour or so a technician arrived and found our system was completely frozen up! He explained that it could be caused by several factors and would need to "defrost" before being "diagnosed". He had prior appointments scheduled for him and said he would return at 9:00 AM the next morning which was Saturday, and he was right on time! Jonathan was very polite and thorough and explained each process that he did and answered our questions. About 3 hours later he had tested, diagnosed and repaired our unit. We again had cool air flowing!! We purchased our unit 10 years ago from Above Air and have been with them ever since for routine checks and maintenance. Vicky is who I talk with when I call and is always so pleasant and helpful.

Called because the new A/C unit Above Air installed in March 2025 did not work to heat the house (January 2026). Turns out that the thermostat was "misconfigured"? I was charged for the call to repair the unit even though it appears to be their fault (I did not configure the thermostat). However they sent Nick to do the work, he was thorough and kind. I will highly reccomend Nick to anyone, but the company, Above Air needs to do better as the installation was bungled in several ways. Hopefully all their mistakes have been corrected now.

Cousin's Air is by far the best A/C company we've ever had.

Our technician Marcos is always professional and a pleasure to have in our home the each time. Even the puppy likes him.

Came the next day. Diagnosed and purchased parts same day and made the repair. Serviceman was polite and efficient. Good job well done. This visit was to clean my vents, ducts and ac unit. The guys were great. They covered my floor and took every precaution. I don’t know how to send you the photos, but the amount of sawdust and construction garbage they took off my air conditioner was unbelievable. It was supposed to be a new air conditioner. The contractor lied to me about a lot of things. These men worked for three hours straight cleaned up after themselves and did a really fabulous job. I have now had this company in my home three times and they were exceptional. I did inquire with Stanley Steamer and was very disappointed in the way they spoke and wrote one thing on their coupons but another thing on the phone the price changed and was double. I know the price was right with cousin’s. It’s a shame that I cannot show you photos.
