First off this company was able to come out to do my dryer repair 3 days sooner than the company that American Home Shield initially set me up with. Then when the tech (Richard) showed up my wife said he was very polite, professional and fast. He repaired my dryer and suggested we clean the vent to prevent a fire so we immediately had them come back and the tech that showed up for that service was again very professional and even cleaned up after cleaning the vent! Awesome service and company! Thanks

When my refrigerator stopped working, I called several businesses to try to schedule a service call. Three of the businesses did not answer the phone, or respond to a message. One told me he would not drive to my side of town. Adept Appliance Service not only returned my call quickly, but set up the soonest possible appointment. They quoted a price for a service call and gave me a time frame of when they would be here. When the technician, Cymone, was fifteen minutes away, she called to let me know she was on the way. She analyzed the problem quickly, reported that it was a burned out starter switch to the compressor, replaced it, and all for a reasonable price. I highly recommend this company and will definitely use them again in the future.

No communication whatsoever! Promises to call with updates and you never get any calls back. Came to look at my broken dryer on 7/14 (after a last minute cancellation the day before). Didn’t even pull the dryer out to inspect any parts, just guessed at what was wrong. Ordered parts and then never heard from anyone again. I call multiple times a day, every single day. Spoke to Justina once and she promised to call me back on 7/22. Never heard from her again. Spoke to Don on 7/25 and he promised to call the morning of 7/26 and nothing from him either. How do these people stay in business????

On 6/25/20 American Home Shield (AHS) assigned Kasey's Appliance/Adept Appliance (Vendor) to repair our Kitchen Aid refrigerator. We were given a service date of 7/20/20. We waited patiently because we understand we're in a pandemic. The service rep came as scheduled and determined the heater component needed to replaced. He ordered the part from AHS while he was still at our home. More than 2 weeks had passed and I had not heard from the vendor or AHS. On 8/9/20:I signed onto my AHS account and discovered the part had been delivered to the vendor via Fedex on 7/31/20. I called and emailed the vendor with no reply. I then called AHS to complain that the vendor had received the part and had not made any contact with me to set an appointment to come and install the part. The AHS rep tried contacting them too and the vendor did not answer or respond to them either that day. The AHS rep told me someone would contact me with 48 hours. No one contacted me. I called and emailed the vendor again. Still no reply and no call back. Again I called AHS on 8/22/20 informing them that we were still without a refrigerator and that vendor had not returned any of my calls or replied to my emails. I told them I was done and at this point the only thing they could do to save this account was to cut me a replacement check and make the vendor pay for it. The AHS rep kept reading their script about allowing the vendor to come install the part and if it didn't work then they would move to have the refrigerator replaced. I told them the only way that would happen was if the vendor called me on Monday to set an appointment. They did not. On 9/1/20 I signed into my AHS account and now my service request is no longer open; it showing I have no service requests open and the Fedex tracking details have been removed. I immediately call AHS which by the way is at least an hourlong wait. I entered my number to have them call me back when a rep became available. Later in the afternoon I received a call from an 800 number and it was silent on the other end. I hung up. On yesterday 9/2/20, I called again and waited another 55 minutes to talk to someone. The AHS rep once again tried to read me the script. I told her to stop I did not want to hear it because it's a lie. I repeated what I said on 8/22 that I want a replacement check. She informed me that my issue was being escalated to a supervisor who would escalate it to the contract relations department and that someone would call me today. I doubt will call me today. After hanging up I filed a BBB complaint against AHS just like I will be doing against the vendor! We have been without a refrigerator for months! We are essential workers, working long hours. We cannot buy groceries and cook for our family. It has been costly to order or eat out for every meal. The blatant disregard by Kasey's Appliance is disrespectful and unprofessional! They have had the part since 7/31! SHAME ON YOU!! They do not deserve 1 star! They deserve a ZERO!!!!!

What started of great ended slightly better then okay.

They were out to the house with in 2 hours of my initial call. The tech, ran several tests and was able to diagnose the problem and quote the costs for the new parts while on site. This is where things went a little off... I know he requested the right part (I could hear him on the phone) but the wrong part showed up. So a new one had to be ordered. After 6 days, I had to call back in to see what was happening because no one had called or advised when they would be returning. From my call to them I was advised the part had to come from another location and was taking longer to arrive. They called back about an hour later said it had been tracked and would be out first thing to install the part. (turned out I was not the first service that next day but they did show up and they did fix the machine.) Only complaint i have is i had to follow up with them to find out what happened. (they cashed my check after 2 days but it took my calling after 6 to find out when this would be resolved)

Again, the tech was very nice... even left the room cleaner then when he arrived. Once they had the parts the were speedy and pleasant. In all honesty if they had called me to advise about the part arriving later then expected I would have no issue at all with them. But when an expectation of 2 days turns into 6 with no calls it's a bit troubling

Will i use them again, probably, but I will think about it first.

As others have mentioned, this company was contracted through American Homeshield on May 10th. They couldn’t get to my place until the 18th, they assess that I need a new drain pump and will order the part for me. They then completed my order after never completing the work. I’ve called them 8 times, I then sent an email to let them know I’ve called and can’t leave a voicemail due to their inbox being full. Called a few minutes later and all of a sudden their voicemail worked again, funny how that works. Terrible professionalism and zero accountability. Do not trust them with anything.

I wish I had read these reviews before we booked an appointment to have Adept evaluate our refrigerator for repair. We waited at least a week after their technician was here to receive their estimate, and after calling several times finally received an estimate but with no clear indication of how long it would take to order parts or schedule the repair. We got frustrated and lacked confidence in Adept, so called GE Repair Service instead. Their technician was able to diagnose the problem immediately, had the necessary parts on his truck, completed the repair and charged us $200 LESS than it would have cost to endure the frustration with Adept. We wrote Adept a letter afterwards and they never responded.

Though unable to repair my model appliance, they made a concerted effort to diagnose the unit. Their staff was punctual and friendly on both visits, and their office staff professional.

Update: I had a follow up issue on my service call and the staff was more than accommodating in getting me answers I sought. I received a prompt call back from their professional courteous staff. I would recommend them and use them again I'm the future.

I don’t think I’ve ever posted a negative review. I understand delays and the pandemic etc. but I don’t understand the lack of communication from a service business. Parts were ordered over two weeks ago and according to my home warranty website delivered that same week and yet Adept hasn’t called me back to schedule an appointment to install them. The technician that came the first time was nice and knowledgeable. The person who scheduled reached out quickly but seemed in a hurry and didn’t relay to the technician the issues I told her. Meanwhile my ice maker is still broken and leaking. I’ve called and left messages with no response from them, sadly. I’m also having a hard time getting thru to my home warranty company to see if anything else can be done. If you have a choice, do some research first. They seem nice and knowledgeable when you can actually get them to come maybe it’s just the office staff that has issues but the lack of communication is unacceptable.

Beyond terrible! The absolute worst customer experience of any company I’ve dealt with. Have used them twice for the same microwave through my home warranty company. First service call took them nearly 3 months to resolve. Each phone call I made to them for an update left me on hold for nearly 20 minutes before someone ever asked to help me. And with each of the calls I had to make, I was given the same response, “we just got a delivery of parts today, let me check on your part and I’ll call you back”. They have NEVER called me. Now, I’m dealing with the second issue, same microwave, same appliance company, and same terrible customer service! They love to point the finger at anyone but themselves! Instead of pointing a finger, take some responsibility for the customer service you are managing. How about build support processes that inform your customer of the progress of their work orders rather than leaving the customer in the dark. 3 weeks and still waiting on a call from Adept to give me an update. Not sure how this type of company can stay in business with the lack of customer service offered. If I ran my business in this manner, I’m certain I would no longer be in business.

This company was assigned to me by my home warranty company to repair my refrigerator. I miss the initial phone call from Justina who I assume is the point of contact for the business because I was working. I returned her call later that day during business hours but could only leave her a message. No response. I called 2 more times on different days and left messages because that is the only option. No one ever answered the phone. After my third message and no response I called my home warranty company and asked to be reassigned. I need a working refrigerator I can’t keep waiting. They reassigned me and canceled my claim with Adept. About 10 minutes later Justina calls like nothing is wrong and asks to schedule our appointment. I politely told her I canceled my service request with them due to lack of communication. She then very rudely says “mam, I called you in the 17th.(5 days ago) Have a wonderful day and hung up”. I didn’t even have the chance to say anything. How incredibly rude and unprofessional. How about check your voicemails and see that I tried to call you. They really need to reevaluate how they treat customers.

I don't understand all the bad reviews. Most of them being posted recently. As if none of these people posting are taking into consideration the state of the economy or the effects the pandemic has had on every aspect of business flow. I'm certain that the warranty companies, part suppliers, and the shipping companies are all working with reduced staff.

I have used Adept on 3 different occasions and I'm getting ready to use them again, both through a warranty company and directly. I have always experienced great service, quick response times, and the utmost professionalism. From the technicians to the office staff, everyone has been top-notch.
I thoroughly vet companies before I let them in my home or work with them in any way, Adept was no different.

I have referred many people to them and I will continue to do so.... even if it takes a little longer because a virus has shut the world down. 😏

Richard was quick and polite. He came earlier than scheduled and had the tools/parts on hand to get the job done. The receptionist was a little spicy when booking and told me items weren't on the work order. She refused my offer to forward the AHS email stating otherwise. So I spent 30 minutes wasting time calling them and having them confirm with the company. Not fun as I was already frustrated.

Absolutely the best service you can get. I have nothing but praise to give this company. Our home warranty company sent us them as a contractor and would absolutely use them again in the future. Between the constant updates (our warranty company wouldn't even do that and have given this company headaches throughout this whole process) and diligently working to get our issue resolved, they have gone above and beyond far more than about any other company would. If I could rate higher than a 5 I would have.

The issue with the washing machine was a corroded hose that connects the washer and dryer(steam dryer) to the water line. The technician said he didn't have the part with him so he disconnected the busted portion that connected to the dryer. I explained that I had a hose and connector. He explained that he would get in trouble if he connected the new hose. Wtw? So, I paid A $100 trip fee to be told my hose was corroded but the tech would get in trouble for replacing with a new hose? I called to ask that the hose be replaced as now I can not use the steam feature on my dryer. I was told that the technician did not feel comfortable changing out the defective hose for the new hose. I asked if they could send out a better skilled technician and was told that since the service call was just for the washing machine and the machine is working they would not send anyone out. I am very disappointed that this is the level of support provided. ThE technician should have asked permission before disconnecting the hose to my dryer. The technician was polite, but not helpful and not honest in conveying information. So now they want and additional service fee to come and connect a new hose to my dryer. Wtw? Do your self a favor and watch a YouTube video before calling this company.

Had to use this company through my home warranty. Overall had a pretty bad experince and there was very poor communication. My ordeal started in January and wasn't resolved until the end of April. The day of my first appointment I was told they had to fire the tech that was supposed to come because he didn't show up for work and they would have to reschedule for the next day. I should have taken this as a red flag and requested a different service provider at this point. They did send someone out and he assessed both appliances and said he would order parts that would take 7-10 days. It actually took a month. I gave them the benefit of the doubt because of the pandemic. When the same person came back to install the parts, one appliance was fixed with no problem but the other was a different story. I was told one of the parts was wrong and he would have to order something else. Later that day I got a call from my home warranty company saying they needed information to order a part that was completely different from what I had been told. The technician had not been honest with me. They said 7-10 days again for parts and I waited. I called back the warranty company about 2 weeks later and was told that Adept hadn't even attempted to order the parts and that they weren't answering the phone. So I waited another month for the second round of parts. On the third appointment they sent out a different person and she is the only reason I am giving 2 stars instead of 1. She took her time and was able to get all the parts installed correctly and even found an additional problem that seemed to have been missed. She actually showed me how she knew what was wrong. Ultimately she is the one that got it working and I feel if they would have sent her the first time it would have been repaired quicker.

The level of disappointment with the service was high. However, I will keep this brief and to the point.
I had an E3 alert on my 3-year-old washing machine. I looked it up in the manual and on Google for the meaning of an E3, and it stated that it was a " LID DOOR LACH ISSUE."
I called Adept Appliance and informed them of the issue. Due to the urgency, I told them of the brand name and needed the part for the lid door lock.
I was told the service call would cost $ 125.00 plus parts. I said ok. The repair guy comes to my house, looks at the washer's E3 alert, and tells me it's a "LID DOOR LACH ISSUE." and he did not have the part with him, so he will have to come back another day. I almost lost my mind because I will pay $125.00 for the service guy to tell me what I already told them.
Later that day, the office called to request $125.00. However, the staff member seemed more focused on the payment than understanding my frustration. Despite my insistence on understanding why would he come without the part when I told him all the information needed. No explanation was submitted. Out of frustrated and urgency, I paid the amount without receiving the answers I needed.
When the service guy came the second time to install the lid latch part (Amazon has the part for $38.00), I was shocked when he told me it still did not work and that another part was needed, therefore the office was going to call me about the cost of the second part and the service call again.
Two days later, the office personnel called to tell me that the second part and labor would be $325.00. I was shocked to hear that $125 + $325 = $450 would be the total cost of fixing my washer (probably $60 worth of parts), so I said, "No, thank you. I'd rather buy a new one."
After the washing machine had been unplugged for 12 hours, a friend told me to plug it in again and try it again. Much to my joy, the washer started to work!!!!!!!!!! It would be sad and unethical if the whole idea were to bamboozle a woman due to the lack of knowledge because the newly installed lid latch did work !!!!! Why service guy said, It did not work & needed a 2nd part?
That said, I will never use their services again. I would rather Google the issue, purchase the part on Amazon, and YouTube the repairs.

I don't know how they got so many 5 star reviews. I wish I could give them less than 1 star. Most of the complaints are the same as my own. Adept was sent to repair my washing machine by my home warranty company. It took them a week to respond and another week to schedule. The technician needed to order a part and I haven't heard from them since. I have called several times and emailed them and had no response. After 3 weeks without my washing machine I called my home warranty company yesterday to find out what is going on. They couldn't contact them either! My home warranty company scheduled a different company. That was yesterday. The technician is here now. He diagnosed it, left to pick up the part, and is back to replace it. That's how it should be done. Adept, if you can't offer better service to home warranty referrals maybe you shouldn't be one of their options.

Although the actual technician was nice enough, the company as a whole was horrible. I went through my warranty company, so I had no choice in choosing the contractor. They were very difficult to get ahold of. Their phone number did not work most times. It would ring and then go to a VM that said they were not taking any calls ( I tried at all all hours of the day for almost a week) they canceled last minute and same day appointments only minutes before said appt. They ordered the parts and then when that didn't fix the issue they had no reason as to why. They couldn't figure out the problem. (Honestly think they are undermanned and the technicians are over booked)now my warranty company (after 3 weeks of back and forth with contractor) has sent another contractor to figure out the issue. Not happy with my experience at all. Until they get more employees or maybe more knowledgable employees I would not recommend.

Do not call them! Might as well throw away your money. We had a fridge with a broken ice maker, they came, charged $450 and the fridge still didn't make any ice. Then they send a second guy that said it wasn't fixable. They refunded only $200 out of the $450 they charged plus days lost from work waiting for them. We had to buy a new fridge in the end. I do not recommend this company.

To anyone that gets placed with these jokers by their home warranty place. You can actually request a different contractor if they fail to provide an appointment withing 7 days of your service request and it would be in your best interest to do so. The 5-stars they are getting are probably fake rates or related to someone who works there (which is not much). I put in a claim back in June 9 and it is now almost a month and a half later and we are worse off than when we started our claim. They came out within 8 days of request and told me that the motherboard on washer had conked out. AHS ordered the part and I had read the reviews that their biggest complaint was the follow through. I called them after I got the part shipped and delivered and not a sole answered the phone. I finally did get a hold someone only to be told that their scheduler had to call me. NO ONE else could do it except clerical support, I guess. They told me I would get phone call later that day, which I did not. I then told AHS the next day and they called and were told I would get a call that same day…I did not. When they did finally reach out to me to schedule the repair, they come out on the day and time they stated and put on the part, but that did not fix the problem. The technician left my residence with a wash machine half filled with water, which it was empty prior to them getting there. We called to ask about course of action to get the water out since that was created by them, but they stated they would have to figure things out and get back to us. We asked for the owner of the company to give us a call because at this point, I believe this place is truly a scam. If you are wondering about service with Adept, or should I say, INEPT, do yourself a favor and go somewhere else, you will thank those who gave an honest review of this place. It has been nothing but a headache with this crew. They replaced the motherboard twice and it did not work and the new appliance place Excel Appliance, who I HIGHLY recommend, came out and stated that it was the motherboard, but that Adept failed to look at drain pump and shifter for wash machine. This tells me that they are in it for a quick buck, but lack the actual skills to diagnose and repair. Again, you are better off with Excel Appliance. They actual call you, answer their phone and give you live updates via text. Stay away from Inept.
