Kendall and Tiffany were very professional and responsive. Kendall will provide the best option for you according to your budget. He had my 2 ton 14 seer compressor replaced with a 15.5 seer which is more energy efficient. He also installed smart thermostat which I can control from my phone. I’m satisfied with the service and warranty they provide. I will definitely recommend Harbor Air.

In a good way, I find myself struggling with how to begin because “Above and Beyond” is wholly insufficient to describe the service provided by Kendall and his team. Our story begins when the 6yr Ameristar main floor AC stopped blowing cold on a Friday evening. Kendall came to our home on Saturday morning to evaluate the issue, and assessed the outside coil had likely developed a large hole that leaked all of the refrigerant and there was also evidence of oil leakage (which he said was a telltale sign of refrigerant leak involving an outside coil). Being a Saturday, Trane/Ameristar offices were not open for him to check on warranty part status, so he promised his team would check first thing on Monday morning when they opened.

On Monday afternoon, Kendall called to update us on what they had learned and discuss our options which included either warranty parts or complete new coil replacement. He was patient and took a good amount of time to carefully review the pro/con of each option with my wife and me, and helped us make a decision that was our best fit. We ultimately chose the new outside coil unit, and this happened to be available for his team to pick up and install the next morning. Kendall and Charlie then arrived as promised on Tuesday and completed the install without incident.

At this point, the story takes that turn for the amazing customer service which I foreshadowed above. That same evening after the install, it appeared to me that the unit may have been malfunctioning, which created a bit of panic for us after having been without AC for 3-4 summer days. Kendall returned my call to his office within 5 minutes, worked to troubleshoot, and then sent his associate Charlie to our home to directly evaluate and ultimately determine that the system was working normally and as expected. In addition, Kendall followed up with a text message later that same evening to confirm everything was still working as expected.

I feel it is important to note that this kind of dedicated customer service is rare to find in any field, in particular a home trades vendor. I certainly have never received such with any of our previous three HVAC contractors we worked with over the 22 years we have owned our home. I wish to publicly thank Kendall and his entire team for this, and would absolutely recommend Harbor Air for anyone who is needing an honest, ethical and dedicated contractor for their heating or cooling needs.

During the initial consultation, Kendall was very transparent and thorough in explaining several options at various price points that would fit the requirements I gave him. I chose a top of the line system at a very good price.

Charles and his crew were great. They got the old system out and the new system in without a scratch. The installation was very clean and they completed the job on time. The thing I liked the most, they genuinely seemed to take pride in their work. After the job was complete, they wanted to show me all the details of the installation which I appreciated.

I needed to replace my A/C because it was becoming unreliable and had stopped running again. I called Harbor Air and Kendall came out the same day and was able to get it running so my house would be cool while waiting for a new unit to arrive. He gave me several options on models and explained the benefits of each one. No pressure, just information. Great communication from the office staff - friendly and timely updates. The installers were courteous and professional. I love my new A/C and feel confident that if there are any problems in the future, Kendall will find a way to get the job done quickly. Living in Florida, you need an A/C company that you can trust and Harbor Air fits the bill.

I had a great experience with Harbor Air. I've been looking for a good ac company and found it. My AC was working intermittently and rather than replace my 13 yr old blower Kendall came out twice to verify that it was still working fine after tightening a wire and a new filter. I have a feeling most other companies would have just replaced it though it didn't need it yet and grabbed the cash now. I appreciate their honesty and integrity. I also appreciate someone as hard working as Kendall who came out late in the evening to get the ac working again. It's rare to find someone like that these days. Will not hesitate to use these guys when the blower does actually go and I need a new ac unit.

Edit as of 7/13/2024: I continue to be impressed with Harbor Air. My AC unit went a while back and they were quick to come out with a temporary unit until my new heat pump/ac was ready. Although they weren't the rock bottom cheapest, they were close and it was more than worth it to me for the quality service these guys provide. I've now used them for just regular annual checkups as well and they continue to be awesome. I continue to recommend them to friends and family.

Complete satisfaction with Harbor Air! My house was not cooling as it had been before, and an air conditioning professional checked things out and informed me that I should consider replacing my HVAC since it was 10 years old. I placed to call to Kendall and he offered to send his guys over to look over my system and offer suggestions to improve the cooling. I was already aware that I recently had rats in my attic and there were some holes in the ductwork as a result, and part of the house needed more insulation. One thing I really appreciated is the Harbor guys told me clearly that my system was working well and they saw no reason to replace it at this time. Kendall then offered a good price to repair the duct work and add insulation, and Mike and Charlie arrived a week later to take care of things. These guys worked quickly and efficiently, and there was a dramatic improvement in the temperature inside the house once they finished. They were friendly, attentive to my questions, and overall I found them to be a pleasure to work with. I totally recommend checking with Harbor Air for any of your air conditioning needs.

I had a prior AC provider so bad, after replacing an expansion valve which required draining and replacing all the refrigerant, the problem was not resolved but I was still on the hook to pay for the repair. Going forward, they offered to attempt and replace other suspect components but I'd still have to pay for their best guesses. Infuriating to the say the least.

Moreover, Kendall was very knowledgeable and able to communicate the problem without technical jargin that other commercial providers attempted, in hopes of upselling a new system instead of fixing the problem.

I work in the electrical construction on the industrial side of the business and everything Kendall said, tracked with market prices and his technical diagnosis checked out.

Harbor Air is in it for the long haul and no wonder this family owned business has been so successful over they years. They absolutely want your business like any other company but they're there to support new and existing clients without upselling them on unnecessary services and equipment.

Simply put, they know what they're doing. They may not always be the lowest but they provide a fair and competitive price backed by COMPETENT personnel versus some outfits that are often the 'lowest bidder' but suddenly finds another problem during the repair and charges you more to fix it after they've already begun disassembly of your ac system.

It's not always about the lowest price but the best price to have it done right the first time.

We had a maintenance call in May 2024 because we were long overdue after purchasing a new home in Westchase. Mike and Charlie were great with explaining things, preventative things we could do in between maintenance calls, etc. In December 2024, we attempted to schedule a maintenance check and missed it for one reason or another. In March 2025, we were able to schedule the overdue maintenance. Mike was amazing and thorough with his work and explanations. It’s evident they care about what they do and their clientele.

My family and I recently had the AC for our house die. Kendall (Owner) had us up and running in no time. He did his best to help us keep our house cool while we waited on a new unit. We only had to go one night in a warm house. Him and his team really care about the customer and giving them the best product and service possible. We went with a Gree Flex unit and are blown away by how well it works. The techs Mike and Charlie did a fantastic job at installing and making sure they communicated things that were being done.

Good locally owned company. I’ve used Harbor Air for several years and have always had a good experience with them. Most recently I called them to investigate a leak coming from my AC unit in the garage. They were able to get here within 24 hours to fix it. As always the Techs were friendly and professional and took the time to explain what they were doing and why, which I appreciate. It was a simple fix and they had the leak taken care of, were cleaned up and on their way in under an hour. Should also mention that both the owner Kendall and Tiffany in the office are personable and pleasant to deal with. Which is not nothing when you’re dealing with an AC emergency! Recommended.

Harbor Air recently assisted us when our AC/Heating unit stopped working during the past cold spell. Unfortunately we needed to replace our old unit.
